This place was what we thought a good vegan find in the area. A small group of us were seated late for our reservation but we were understanding on a busy weekend. The server had a very strange attitude and it felt uncomfortable the whole night. Maybe he had an off night. They didn't tell us the kitchen was closed before I could order my friend some donuts for a surprise birthday treat. However, they ended up accommodating my request so thank you for that. They just never seemed very friendly and that kinda ruined my experience. They asked for the check like three times but our friends weren't done eating yet and didn't put their cards in. It would've been fine if they said they were ending their shift if we didn't mind paying, but instead it felt as though they were rushing us. Apparently the place turns into a club at 11pm and since we were seated late, although outside, were rushed to finish. The food was ok and the drinks were good. Nachos and tacos not as good as JaJaJa, but decent. Burritos I heard were yum. Indoor seating required vaccination. Outdoor seating available.

Amazing place, even if you're not vegan. Loved every Taco I had (and I had all six on the happy hour menu). Drinks are great too. Will be back!!

The atmosphere in this place was amazing, but it was ruined with horrible service. The upstairs bar tender was beyond rude and outwardly bothered by having to do his job. Visibly on his phone and when asked for a drink he didn’t even say two words to acknowledge me then rolled his eyes and legit threw the drinks at me once he had finished. Absolutely horrible service and I most likely will not be returning.

Very cool bouncers and dance floor, stuck up bartenders. Made me wait over 10 min for a glass of water, one of them pointed out the self serve which was empty, then made me wait extra to refill it instead of giving me a glass right away, u don’t do that to a customer specially in the summer. None of the bartenders were nice or friendly at all. Also bathrooms are terrible, one for women and a big one with many stalls for men. Everyone knows women’s are usually busier, you need to redesign.

Have been here a few times late night to drink and dance. Went there on a Saturday night around 1am, there was no line, but the female bouncer was announcing that the credit card machines were broken inside. I then asked "is there an ATM inside?" which somehow caused this female bouncer to yell at and accost our entire party of 10 people. It's remarkably shocking how terrible of a customer service experience this was, as all 10 of us in our party were ready to patronize the business and have a good time. The abhorrent customer service outside caused all of us to leave and take our business elsewhere. It's truly embarrassing for a well-standing establishment to have staff who behave this way. Do better.

Cute vegan Mexican restaurant in Williamsburg, BK with a lovely atomosphere and delicious food! TIP: Outside ordering starts 12pm and goes until 6pm. The restaurant opens at 6pm! Food**** DELISH! We ordered 2 tacos: The Savory (mushroom croquette, almond crumbs, collard, and cashew cheese) the Al Pastor (avocado, black beans, ancho, jackfruit, and pineapple) . One Burrito: Chili Cheese Burrito (vegggie chili, rice, potato crisp, jalapeño, guacamole, and vegan jack cheese. Get the chili cheese burrito for SURE! And add the Savory taco, this was surprisingly good. I was a little hesitant about the collards but it ended up tasting sooooo good! Atmosphere*** Outside eating and very nice layout inside with plenty of seating and enough space that you don’t feel like you’re in a straightjacket (welcome to Brooklyn)! Service**** Quick, pleasant, with smiles and with condiments! Price$ Outside ordering (12-6pm)is CASH ONLY! Inside (6pm on) accepts cards. Cheap and VERY worth

This was my first experience dining at an all-vegan restaurant. Wife and I arrived around 6 PM for early dinner. The food left us both thoroughly impressed. If the Jam Taco has been overlooked as one of the top tacos in New York, have no doubts: it is undoubtedly one of the best you will find in this area of Brooklyn. I am excited to go back and try all the other tacos. We also ordered the Oyster Mushroom Fajitas and *wow* the texture was incredible and felt like very carefully cooked, tender chicken. I was surprised with how filling the meal was. My only qualm would be cleanliness. The suede seating area is understandably annoying to clean but there were visible particles (food? dust? dirt?) on the cushioning of our seats. My wife’s glass was dirty as well. Service was relaxed, not over-the-top happy, but still welcoming.

This is no longer a vegan restaurant. It's an all-seafood menu and there's only one vegan option. I suggest the owners change the name on this site or remove the listing so that people don't go here by mistake, since looking at this page and all the reviews it still appears to be a vegan restaurant. I'm happy to remove this review once this is corrected.

This place's quality seriously declined after the pandemic. The menu changed significantly and the ingredients used are worse. The waitress was also extremely rude and constantly rushing my wife and I. Would not recommend especially at the price point as there are plenty of other places that have better food at a more affordable cost.

Had a great time here. The bouncers were professional and easygoing. Drinks were delicious. Dance floor was a good time and DJs were great too. The crowd seemed young and not pretentious at all. Would definitely go back.

Love that this place is 100% vegan. The food is great. The Strawberry 4 ways dessert was delicious. No matter what your meal is you have to have this Soo good.

Hot sweaty basement with no air flow which is fine if that’s the vibe you are after considering the music was decent. However staff were really rude. Cash only and the man doing coat check short changed me and when I told him he shrugged it off and then proceeded to ignore me. There are so many other great spots in the area to go dancing and this is just not the spot.

Love the basic yet well executed premise; nice bar for talking and relaxing upstairs, and a raucous crowd down below. Depends on the DJ you get for the vibe, but I’ve heard hip-hip, house, reggaeton, afro-beats… everything I like 😎 WILL be making this a regular spot

I came by when this place turns into a club, cash only for entry. It’s a cool vibe but I felt like it was hard to get drinks upstairs but they did have some seating which was a nice break from standing in the crowd. The basement felt like a college house party.

Review of the club. Dishonest drinks pricing and terrible crowd. Beers listed for $7 downstairs, yet we were charged $9 .. paid cash, the bartender said it’s “tax”. Didn’t know there’s a 30% tax on beer sales. +1 for the good DJ and $10 entry

Went out with coworkers for a few drinks so can't comment on the food. The place is moderate sized, drinks are good, and the bartenders courteous and attentive. What made this place especially fun is the small dancing space downstairs. Had a great time.

The bouncer (backwards hat) charged us extra because some people slipped in when we had already paid for our party. Would not cooperate. Rude and disrespectful. Wasted $30 and NO empathy. Update: manager found out what happened and offered us 3 free drinks. Still not pleased with the bouncer but happy the manager was flexible!

5 stars all-around. It’s a pretty big place with indoor and outdoor seating + downstairs is a night club which brings artists from all over the world. On one of the nights in town, I had tacos and danced to a German DJ (name escapes me). It’s always a good time!

This place SUCKS! Sticky as hell, horrible service and when we wanted to bring it up to the manager the server saw us being on our yelp and GRABBED our phone and begged us not to leave a bad review. Don’t waste your time here New York

A vegan restaurant with a basement club, nice! When you eat at the restaurant, you don’t have to pay to go the club. Nice! Food wise: for a Mexican inspired vegan menu, they should make a better GUACAMOLE. It was way too small. Like way too small!!! And they should different types of guacamole!Taste wise, it’s pretty easy to make tasty vegan Mexican food so the food is average nothing over the board extravaganza so go there for the vibes with your vegan friends and hopefully they make a better bigger guacamole as a VEGAN restaurant.

Fantastic music and sound quality, both the feeling of a high level larger club but with the smaller more personal experience.

Do not come back here again!! The host was so rude and it’s the worst place I’ve ever been! They charge for 10-15 dollars for nothing!!!

Black Flamingo. The music, the atmosphere, the dual environments, the food. When I first began exploring Brooklyn I continuously landed on Black Flamingo. Deep, vocal house & techno for the nightlife crowds is what drew my attention initially, & once I finally moved to Brooklyn it was the personal touch left upon their dishes & cocktails that solidified my loyalty. A staple, a living culture, come to Black Flamingo!

Food is vegan so take that as you may. Drinks are good. The downstairs dance floor used to be a hidden gem but has been discovered by soho kids. They have started to oversell and it seems they don’t care about capacity so you can’t even move or dance.

A very low 🗝️ spot decent drinks and music 🎶 the crowd varies. Food from the restaurant is pretty good as is everything.

Basement has a great dancing space and amazing music. But it is packed with dudes :(. Soooooo many dudes. There's like one girl for every seven guys.

The food is really good and the staff is super friendly. Late at night it turns into a small dance club downstairs 💃🏼🕺🏽 The dancing space is rather small and you must pay in cash while you are in the basement but you'll have fun.

Love coming here! Being vegan it's hard to find good food and black flamingo is definitely good food. Great service as well, waiter was very helpful and attentive. 10/10 recommend, great vibes upstairs/downstairs!

The food and the service was excellent. Only thing now is when you are there on the weekend. You are able to only dine in if you are vaccinated and must show proof. If not you will have to dine outside. But if its during the week. You can dine in on a honor system, they won't ask for proof. Thats a whole other thing I can get into. But other than that the food is AMAZING.

This bar tries so hard.. Cool sweaty dance floor but the people at the door make it pretty unbearable. Still checking vax cards, charging women cover when the line ratio is 15:1, really no chill. Fine for a club but comes with Manhattan-level annoyances for Bushwick-level hangs.

We pay enter fee then we need to go out in a minute. But the guy in the entrance told us he didn’t remember us. He lied and take our $50 for 5 minutes. Horrible dance floor. Very dark. Music was just a loop. Never go there again!!

someone stole the phones of multiple people in the bar the night I went, and when all of us tried to ask them where to find our "lost" phones, they refused to acknowledge that they were clearly stolen (multiple people from several parties "lost" their phones) and did nothing to offer help in realistically tracking down the perpertator (no offer to look at any security tapes or help track down potential solutions to the issue). I get that they couldn't have found our phones for us, but they were unwilling to offer practical help in tracking down who stole them and quickly dismissed us when we tried asking them to help us. In an extremely frustrating solution, we were met with employees who simply couldn't be bothered to even answer follow up calls from friends asking if they had found the "lost" phones towards the end of closing.
