I
frequent
this
bar
because
it’s
in
my
neighborhood
and
I
have
been
a
loyal
patron
up
until
this
point.
I’ve
been
served
by
Derek
three
times
and
his
attitude
has
never
been
nice
to
me
or
others.
On
1/25/24
Bartender
DEREK
,
age
55,
started
closing
the
establishment
around
1am
when
closing
is
in
fact
at
2.
By
1:30
my
brother
and
I
were
being
forced
out
because
“No
one
is
here,
you
can
say
what
you
want
to
say
and
I
don’t
care.
I’m
not
Katie,
I
close
when
I
want;
it’s
raining
you
have
to
get
out.”
To
be
referred
to
as
“nobody”
when
I
religiously
support
this
establishment
is
a
complete
slap
in
the
face
and
utterly
disrespectful.
Katie
is
the
bartender
that
normally
serves
me
and
she
is
one
of
the
kindest
people
I’ve
ever
met.
When
I
asked
for
her,
Derek
was
not
pleased
and
said
that
she
doesn’t
work
on
Thursdays,
as
if
I
didn’t
have
a
right
to
ask
for
her.
I
noticed
another
customer
trying
to
order
and
ask
questions,
as
she
was
not
from
the
area
and
being
that
it
was
her
first
time,
she
was
inquisitive.
DEREK
had
the
most
dismissive
countenance
toward
a
first
time
patron
and
it
made
me
so
uncomfortable,
I
felt
the
need
to
engage
in
conversation
with
her,
to
show
her
that
Brooklyn
has
a
better
reputation
than
what
Derek
was
displaying.
When
my
brother
ordered
a
shandy,
Derek
refused
to
serve
him
until
I
repeated
the
order.
I
ordered
two
drinks
and
a
shot—
before
I
could
sip
the
second
drink,
he
slaps
a
to
go
cup
in
front
of
me
and
never
brought
the
shot.
Other
employees
can
attest
to
my
tolerance
of
alcohol,
so
that
was
not
the
issue.
Derek
simply
did
not
want
to
be
there.
The
point
of
going
to
a
bar
is
to
unwind
from
the
stress
of
the
day—
my
life
is
hard
as
it
is,
why
am
I
being
bullied
by
a
bartender
that
clearly
does
not
want
to
work
at
the
establishment
in
which
he
is
employed?
Why
are
business
hours
not
consistent
with
google?
If
I
want
to
tell
people
about
my
neighborhood
bar,
should
I
tell
them
not
to
go
on
Thursdays
to
avoid
being
disrespected?
I
try
to
support
my
people
as
often
as
I
can
but
the
treatment
I
received
was
unacceptable
and
downright
disrespectful.
One
of
the
employees
from
the
kitchen
even
came
out
and
apologized
for
my
experience
because
“no
one
likes
working
with
him”.
As
an
establishment
in
the
service
industry,
Sip
n
Chat
needs
employees
that
give
consistent
service,
and
discontinue
employees
who
make
paying
customers
feel
like
they
are
“nobody”.
Derek
is
clearly
unhappy
in
his
role
as
bartender,
and
paying
patrons
as
well
as
other
employees
are
having
a
bad
experience
as
a
result.
Correct
it,
please.
