Stumbled across this place on a Friday night outing with some friends, and immediately felt welcomed. Had Purple Rain & the Vinesse (named after a regular) both were delicious. Would like to come back on a themed night

My friends and I have organized events at Starr Bar - it was awesome. Very chill and supportive environment for artists! We had around 40 people at the bar, and there was enough space for a screening.

My wife and I stopped by this venue on our wedding anniversary, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a disappointing experience. The short male bartender, who was working on a weeknight, left us with a bitter impression. His attitude was unpleasant, and it felt like we were an inconvenience to him. We were unaware that this place has a reputation for not being very inclusive. As someone who brought my Latino wife and friends to celebrate, I wish I had known about this issue beforehand. It's important for any establishment to be welcoming to all patrons, regardless of their background. We won't be returning to this bar and hope they can improve their service and inclusivity in the future.

Really chill vibes. Awesome bar tender. I think her name was Ann and she makes a really good margarita. They have happy hour and have themed days every month with live music shows and comedy shows. They have the feel of a no judgement zone and everyone is welcome.

Atmosphere is great! Food is yummy! Thoughtful about ingredients, good drink prices, & all my favorite organizations hold events here! Love coming to Starr Bar on weeknights. I will definitely be coming back to start bar!

Starr Bar is a real community bar with constant shows acts in a lgbtq friendly environment. Recommended.

I played a show here on December 14th, 2023, with my band, In The Next Life, and one of the perks is it being right off the Jefferson Street L train station in Brooklyn. Yes, the stage is a little tight (if you're playing with a five-piece band) but the sound system, vibes, & atmosphere were amazing. Definitely would play here or come here again!

We went for 2 Gays 1 Mic comedy special, it was soo much fun!!! We had a great time! The bar is also super charming, the drinks are very reasonably priced as are the small bites.

Chill, easy atmosphere and decent prices! Sat here for a few hours with a friend while we waited for an event to start, and we loved it! Bartenders were super friendly and attentive, which can be hard to find in NY. Will def be back next time I need somewhere to chill for a couple hours!

Come for live music and beers. Divey kinda feel... Like a back alley LA jazz club. Fairly large space for a Bushwick bar.

Karaoke on Wednesdays. Fun crowd, engaging Karaoke DJ/MC Cass and the bartenders croon along to keep the crowd motivated. All around good times!

It's a nice cute little bar. Good dj. Unfortunately the backyard was closed due to the rain but fun to get some drinks on.

Terrible drinks but GREAT food. Hated going with the three stars since the food was so good but the cocktails were def. Tough to stomach (ton of ice, no liquor and just sugar).

It doesn't get any better than Starr Bar. Kind and wonderful, social justice minded folks coupled with a beautiful space for all occasion. Drop in for a $5 happy hour draft and stay for the beautiful community.

Charlie is the best! My co workers and I made it in time for happy hour. It did not disappoint. The music is a whole vibe and their vegan meals are delish! Vax card required at the bar!

Great vibes. There's a performance area in the back and they also have open mics on Mondays. The bar doesn't carry a great selection of beers but the cocktails are great.

The General Manager, Charles was nice and inviting. He was making Infused Gin with Rosemary and blueberry, which was ironically the drink I chose. Super cool and let me smell the beauty of the infusion. Thanks for making me feel welcome! First bar in Bushwick. I may be back sooner than I thought💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
