A great concept of a small-museum but as a New Yorker, nothing was really nostalgic for me. I will say, I learned a bit though! There’s a lot collected from NYs world fair, which I didn’t even know existed so looking into it was interesting. Also, the superwoman exhibit was cool - though my only commentary is that Margaret Sanger (highlighted for her womens rights work// planned parenthood) was actually very racist and her work was an extension of that. I wish she wasn’t highlighted as a queen without her truth being told. A simple good search will show that she was a practiced eugenics… as a black woman, not surprised to see history hold her up… i think that area can be improved, however, still a gem, and the owner + staff were very nice. I hear they have great events.

Such a great little museum ! I now recommend it to all my friends planning a trip to NYC ! Such a unique way to view the city and its history, I absolutely loved it. And the lady at the front desk was very friendly and offered some nice explanations.

As a city resident, I saved two dollars on my museum ticket. Inside there's really not much. The first room has an impressive collection of World's Fair memorabilia and Statues of Liberty, among other historical artifacts. The second room is devoted to the history of burlesque in the city. That's all there is. You can go out the backyard where there was a yard sale when I was visiting, on a Sunday, but there was less than I expected. You can go through the whole place thoroughly in an hour.

Maybe you have to be a local to appreciate this place because I just didn’t get it. It looked like a big collection of junk to me, but what do I know? Suggested donation per person was 5 bucks when I went, but you’d have to pay me double that to consider visiting again.

Small museum packed with NYC memories. There is about 3 rooms to explore.

Tiny little storefront disguised as a “museum” that has the nerve to charge a $7/person entrance fee. This is a collection of items primarily pulled out of garbage dumps. Avoid it. It’s not a “museum,” unless maybe you’re a local hipster and you’ve already had a few!

Very sweet, well curated, filled with fun objects and history. Plus the backyard is pleasant, beautiful, and creatively put together. Totally worth it!

A pitchy little museum that is bigger than you would think. It is a roadside attraction! Fun events sprout from here, too. If you are native, you need to go to learn more stuff and to say: oooh! If you are a tourist, you need to go because THIS is really NYC stuff. Seriously.

I enjoyed The City Reliquary Museum. There were a number of interesting artifacts on display such as NY World's Fair items, old Williamsburg Bridge photos, old NYC shool photos and many other interesting and diverse things to see

A small and intriguing volunteer-run house of wonders, with lots of memorabilia on a few only-in-New York phenomena. Who knew that Barbara Walter’s father ran the original Latin Quarter club or that the showgirls went on strike? Great neighborhood to explore.

Awesome collection of things you wouldn't think of as history pieces but are authentic New York historical items. Literal pieces of the city. Lady Liberty would be proud.

Small but powerful collection and worth a stop if you're nearby. Lots of different performances and special displays hosted here as well.

It’s a fun place to look around but their events are what really makes this place the best. Ask around to hear about the ones not on the calendar.

Cool little museum of authentic, eclectic NYC memorabilia, with an interesting temporary exhibit on comics and Wonder Woman. Employee working the front desk was really nice and helpful. Thanks!

The host is adorable, the items are exquisite, and the price is right for a fun night out. The outdoors is a sight in itself.

Great museum. There was so many different things about the city packed into a small museum. Definitely will return sometime to see if there is any new things

We went out of our way to visit and had high expectations. It was super small, I mean tiny, and slot of New York world's fair memorabilia. Not really much of anything else. If it wasn't free the day we went, I would have been more disappointed.
