What a sad time in history. Good to see these items preserved for all generations to see. I am very glad we went to this museum

not as much to see as I'd like. there are some new installations in process but right now there isn't that much with the exception of the virtual reality portion. the virtual reality part is actually really interesting. they did a good job with the filming of it

I gave it a 3 star because it was great information and visuals but I did not feel welcomed. I was really excited on my way to the Holocaust museum but as soon as I got there it was people looking at us instead of greeting us! Once I spoke then they spoke! We were given voice recorders to follow along the tour which was a great thing! When I tell you I saw this one lady following us around like we were going to steal something! It was not a good feeling and then when I was walking around reading and taking pictures I would look up and people were looking as if I did not belong there. People should not judge someone because of what they look like! I love all people even if they don’t love me because no one is better than the next person!

It's an amazing place to see, but not for the faint of heart!! It is a true life depiction of life as a Jew and details the true stories, the personal items, their clothing, concentration camp uniforms, and lives of Jews before, during, and after the Holocaust!! I think every human on earth should visit, spend a day seeing the Hell, Hitler created for the Jews!! Around every corner is another account experienced by another human being. Every section has videos, some interactive holographic characters telling short stories of daily life!!

Our first time here. We will return as often as the program here warrants. Today we saw "Becoming Dr. Ruth." 90 minutes of brilliant entertainment. As visible in our posted photos, every seat in this smallish theater is a good one! Clearly, we wish to return to visit the museum as well.

It has been nearly 20 years since I first visited this museum. I guess I first visited this place when it first opened. I went back to bring my family so they could learn more about the Holocaust. I do believe this museum is quite informative. However it is now a shell of what I remember the exibits were when it first opened. I remember spending hours going through the exibits. We saw everything in about 40 minutes. I'm glad at least my kids' tickets were free.

Excellent place to visit. There is a $15 entrance fee. Displays were mostly pictures with some Jewish artifacts. They have a tour which we missed because we found a Genealogy office. There, we met a genealogist, Joy, who was fantastic. She spent a hour and half with us and was able to locate some family records via censuses, marriage licenses, and other documents. Information which we had been hunting for. Well worth the visit. After walking thru the museum; we went up to the Russian restaurant. They were very nice and offered us samples of some of their dishes. We ended up with both hot and cold borshe. Pricey but good. Very informative.

I liked the museum but thought this blonde lady was a little too straightforward, rushing her tour guide and seemingly getting upset! I understand they have to keep things moving but I think she could've chilled out a little, especially with the group we brought!

What an amazing experience, this museum is a must during your trip to NYC. COVID protocols are in place and booking online was very easy. The audio guide was very helpful and organized. The museum left such a powerful impact in me, bring some tissues because you will need them. So informative museum. In memory of all the victims of the Holocaust :( my heart is with you all

If you like to know about WW2 this is a perfect museum, they have actual Auschwitz objects and more. Its amazing plus is not expensive! This Auschwitz exhibition is so powerful, makes you feel something that I cant explain, this is a museum so worth going. I share a little bit of all the things that I saw because you defenetly need to see it by yourself

Excellent museum. Spent two hours here and I could have spent another hour or two because there was so much to look at. Next time I want to try out their cafe on site. Beautiful views of the Hudson and the Statue of Liberty from the upper floors as well. We saw some great exhibitions and I'm really glad we chose to check this museum out.

Well organized exhibit with lots of good information. Took about two hours to go through the main exhibit. Could have used a little extra time, but were on a time constraint. Also really enjoyed the current special exhibit.

They have managed to humanise the inhumane. Very much worth a visit to learn that period of history. It'll take you a couple of hours to get through if you're like me and want to read all the story boards.

This lovely museum was under construction and we didn't see the whole museum. The building is close the sea and has beautiful sceneries from the windows and from the touching little garden outside. Trees are growing from a stones like jewish people stayed alive after terrible history. Also little cafeteria where we tasted Haman ears with coffee.

Went here for a school trip. Really interesting experience, they give you some sort of device with earbuds and the tour guides speak to you through that. The design was pretty cool, some exhibits are designed specifically to make you feel like you are in the time of the Holocaust. This museum gives you the most authentic Jewish experience.

It was well worth the visit, and I spent about 4 hours in here, taking your time, reading their stories, and listening to what they have to say. Don't miss out on the 3rd floor

A very meaningful experience. I would say a better over all experience than the DC Holocaust museum - like yad vashem, where you exit and look upon Israel in all her glory, when you leave the museum of Jewish heritage you see lady liberty and New York harbor - a different homeland for the Jewish people. Worth the stop - free Wednesday and thruway evenings.

I was lucky enough to purchase the last 4 of the five tickets for the 10:30 slot for the last day. I received notification days later that this exhibit sold out. The weekend sold out IT HAS MADE SUCH AN IMPRESSION ON ME THAT I SAY THE FOLLOWING: Everyone should come see this exhibit in the future if it comes back. All backgrounds. Gentiles, all Jews, all ethnics, black, white, hindu, EVERYONE. We All Need To Live In Peace! NO MORE PREJUDICE

Great museum. Really helped view inside the lives of the victims and survivors. It shed a new light on what happened during the holocaust.

It was a very interesting museum with a lot of detailed and factual information. I loved the layout of the museum with information in cronacologica order. I don't live in the city but I would visit the museum again on my next visit.

My rating is based on staff interaction which was very friendly, as well as the quality of the special show, Auschwitz, the last stop. Having said that it is a beautiful setting, close to mass transportation and small enough to be doable. Their own collection is very small which makes me very hesitant to give them 5 stars.

A lot of under construction areas so about half of the museum wasn't accessible. Overall I was able to complete the tour in 45 minutes solo.

This is a very thorough and impactful museum with a really high level of care and quality put forth towards its exhibits. The museum does a great job at covering such a deep and complex subject in a way that is not overwhelming. Regardless what level of knowledge you are coming into this museum regarding the Holocaust you will still leave having learned something new. The photo gallery on the top floor is very impactful and reminds you of the many people still alive today in the city who personally experienced the Holocaust. This is a great museum and incredibly educational.

Visiting this museum gave me a better point of view, and after all the reading I was able to put myself in the person's shoes.
