My 6 and 4 year old kids were in paradise . They loved the museum, we spent a good 5 hours, moving from activities to other rooms. The cafeteria closed early when we came and we were lucky to grab a snack on time. It is a good place to hang out with your kids.

This is one of the best children's museums I've ever been to! I visited on a Thursday afternoon (free for all guests, courtesy of Amazon) with my toddlers who are 1 and 3 years old. They loved it! There was live music, interactive play areas (the sandbox was their favorite!), and something for everyone. We spent 3 hours there and could have stayed longer! Skating on the rooftop was a highlight, though the "glice" takes some getting used to. Highly recommended! Can't wait to return!

While visiting Brooklyn, I wanted to stop and give my daughter a chance to play (also the museum looked super cute to me). I looked it up, I think it's $15 per adult and $15 per kid over 1 I think. With my military ID, I was able to get in free! They have an entire area for small children which I really loved and appreciated. There was water play, sand play, areas to act out a play (theater), areas to make music, a slide, and an area for smaller tots that had soft blocks. We stayed about an hour and my daughter really enjoyed herself! We walked around the rest of the museum, there were things for my 1yr old to do too but there were bigger kids so we had to be mindful.

A wide range of cultures are on display for children to learn about people from around the world. Interactive learning and hands on exhibits made specifically for your child. Tickets are fairly priced and we fully enjoyed the experience.

My 5 year old had a great time. There was even a maze for the kids to navigate through. The experience was very nostalgic; I went here as a kid, I used to take my oldest who is now 18 and I haven't been here in years. Definitely take your kids. Only down side is the crowd and the kids not having the freedom to experience the museum in its full capacity. In the coming months as things start to normalize, I'm sure it will be great. BTW bring your own food which you are allowed to eat on the rooftop, the restaurant is still closed.

Incredible array of activities for children of all ages. The museum is extremely accessible in terms of its physical space, proximity to public transportation, and price. Thursday afternoons from 2-5 they have free admission — would recommend signing up on the site ahead of time though not required.

Amazing place and fun activities for kids. They have indoor and outdoor. Only cafe does not have so much choices for food and beverage. They also provide kid’s birthday party.

My daughter is 21. I used to take her there often because we loved it so much. After not being there for the past 12 yrs, I was very impressed to see how well kept the place is and I was happy to see that they still showcase live animals and give the opportunity to pet them. I love love the section with the different ethnicity. The imaginary play and sensory aspects.

I visited with a group from a near by preschool program. The museum is nice and well kept. The children seem to enjoy the dinosaurs level. I was a bit outrage to try to purchase water bottles to give the children since they were thirsty and the museum they are charging $5.00 for a water bottle. Everyone knows that since the pandemic waterfountains are not looked the same they carry millions if bacteria and germs of course. Is hard to watch 24 children n carry 24 water battles plus we get charge $50.00 for an eating area and our parents are low income so we could not bring lunch or drinks. We had to immediately leave. Trips for day cares are super expensive. I'm just sharing this so the museum understands that yes they might charge 10 per child, however it comes out to almost 50 to attend museum cause 10 is admission 20 transportation, and probably 20 per lunch if we buy at the museum. I think $5.00 for a water bottle is a bit pricey.

Kids had so much fun at the Brooklyn children's museum. We celebrated MLK day with different workshops. And afterward, skating rink on the rooftop was great finish.

We visited as an ASTC passport member. This children's museum has several hands on activities for children of all ages. My 8 year old enjoyed the nest on the roof. The air conditioner was broken the day we visited. The one water station had a low flow rate and was located next to the primary restroom on the main floor. We would come again when the temperature is more tolerable! I liked that several food vendors were available to purchase snacks.

We got there on the last day of August by 3pm and for my surprise I didn't need to pay anything. Then, a few days later, I realized that there is free entrance every Thursday from 2-5pm, indeed the same range of time we got there on that day of the week. Not to mention it was our very first time visiting and even though was a little bit overwhelming since the museum rooms were crowded we ended up enjoying and having a fun/cute time as mom and 11 years old kiddo. Also, he was super excited because my son had just arrived from San Juan, Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 a day before going into this place.

The BCM accepts my membership from Staten Island Children Museum. Our family enjoyed our visit there. The outdoor area was so nice in a sunny day, the kids got to paint with water, and they loved it! The craft class was good. They had a lot to offer to kids!

Well-maintained, clean, fun place for indoor and outdoor activities for the fam! Love their nods to different world cultures and the rooftop maze / play area is so fun for the kids to just run amok and for adults to be able to relax and have conversation. Also really appreciated the strict COVID policies and mask enforcement.

We loved this children's museum. It is obviously well loved and utilized within the community. Unfortunately the air conditioning was down on the day of our visit, so it was pretty warm inside. But fortunately, the interactive exhibits were so much fun, we didn't really pay any attention to the temperature. My children's favorite exhibits were the store, the bus, the live fish, turtles, cockroaches, vespa, and the pizza shop (Pretty much the whole place 🤣😍). I'd love to see a benefactor come in and support this gem ❤️ I definitely suggest checking out the Brooklyn Children's Museum if you're in the area.

Was great my 22 month old absolutely loved it expesally the sand pits and splash zone. Ohh and the bus. He loves vehicles and to him getting to touch a bus the front, the steering wheel and the buttons really ment alot to him I could tell. We went early and was perfect so it wasn't very busy at all and really only started getting kinda crowded in some areas after 12. He could enjoy the interactive experience with minimal fighting for objects and space which was great for what we wanted on a mothersday. They have a beautiful open outdoor area on the roof top which was great to warm and dry him up alittle after the splash zone too. Has more exhibits geared towards children who are alittle older but can easily find atleast a few things that and child under 7 can enjoy. He's only just grasping pretend time so fake grocery shopping and making fake pizza, building, puppet things and stuff wasn't interesting enough for him quite yet but when he is a bit older will probably really love that stuff and was still plenty of different types of things to look at and do with atleast somthing for any young child. Animals, international living, Vehicles, instruments, and more. . I bought our tickets a few weeks early because I wasn't sure how it would be there for mothersday but his aunt and uncle had also bought a set of tickets not knowing that I'd gotten them already and tho not easily returnable they were accommodating and said we can use the extra set on another day. This is actually perfect because I would definitely like to go again soon and knowing that i don't Have to be worried about the date and time is awsome. I'm sure most parents can relate that having a certain date and time for somthing can be problematic somtimes and if he's in a bad mood or something happens I know we can still go later that day or another day so it's not a complete waste. Tickets were reasonably priced with options for donations and I believe I saw that they do have a certain day each week at only donations so if the $13 or whatever a ticket is difficult to stomach for whatever reason or you have to many children to easily pay for each at once plus the adult tickets they have the free days (again I'm not certain about this but I do belive I read that it's free on Thursday morning and afternoon if I'm wrong about that I'm sorry) eitherway it was worth the price easily for the few hours exhibits they can enjoy. We absolutely plan to go again soon and hopefully often. There's also a beautiful park right next door and though no private parking that im aware of, parking wasn't difficult and I parked only a couple of blocks away. It's also located in a pretty nice location of Brooklyn surrounded with residential old brownstones which I personally perfer over surrounded by shops and offices like most museums are.

Had such an amazing time here! So much to explore and play always kept clean and organized. I went on a Sunday at opening time it wasn’t crowded at all and everyone was very friendly. We spent about 2 hours there and went to the roof top to have some snacks. It was gorgeous and a nice place to take pics of your sweet child as they play.

We had a wonderful time at the children’s museum! We attended their Halloween event and it was just the best. They had super hero characters and the staff gave out candy. The space is so fun with lots of stuff for kids to do. Mixed with traditional museum highlights like nature and cultural exhibits. Even an outdoor rooftop playspace with dinosaurs. They also have special rotating exhibits. The space was clean and well maintained. We will be going back soon. It’s a very warm and friendly environment, a gem for children of all ages.

We went there with the kids. Also, we didn't pay for the tickets. We have a library card. As long as you have your queens/Manhattan/Brooklyn library card, you can order two tickets for free. I really recommend this place for you to bring your kids with. This place is really tailored for your kids. You can have more interaction with your kids and get closer together. If you're a teacher, you can also bring your students. Sometimes they have some events going on. You can check their official website. We were having fun but time flies.

I have been bringing my daughter to the Brooklyn Children’s Museum since she is a baby and in my opinion this is a safe environment with different options to spend quality time with our kids. Lots of playtime here sensory activities, arts and crafts, reading, shows and fun happen in the rooftop too. If you have a Medicaid card you are allowed to enter 5 guests for free each visit, the museum could use some renovations inside and upgrading of rooms and toys and during the summer it can get hot in there but overall it’s a good place for kids to play, learn, interact and have fun.

GREAT EXPERIENCE. Many interesting things to explore for all ages. A big section for toddlers only with plenty of hands on activities such as a water table with toys. My 2 year old loved it. The exhibits were very interesting and they are always changing themes, great for multiple visits. Cafeterias large and family friendly. The animal display are nice. Definitely recommend to visit with young ones.

Ok great place to bring kids for the museum but Do Not Go For Ice Skating!! It’s not ice and plastic it is impossible to skate on the plastic. You can’t push off your edge. A complete waste of time and money. We brought 4 families with us and we could not skate and the adults knew how to skate. We thought wow there’s no one here that’s great but no it’s because you can’t skate on it. The museum part is awesome but they should shut the roof down immediately. It’s a money trap.

I recently visited the children's museum of Brooklyn with my daughter, and I must say it was a fantastic experience. The museum offers a wide range of activities and exhibits that are both educational and entertaining for children. One of the highlights of our visit was the traditional Brooklyn mock shops. My daughter absolutely loved playing in these mini shops, pretending to be a shopkeeper or a customer. It was a great way for her to learn about different types of shops and how they function. The museum also had interactive exhibits that allowed children to explore various scientific concepts through hands-on activities. My daughter had a blast experimenting with different materials and learning about cause and effect. The staff at the museum were friendly and helpful, and they made sure that the children had a safe and enjoyable experience. The museum was clean and well-maintained, and there were plenty of seating areas for parents to relax while their children played. Overall, I highly recommend the children's museum of Brooklyn. It provides a fun and educational environment for children to learn and play. My daughter had a great time, and we will definitely be visiting again in the future.

This museum is great!! My kid loves running around in here. They pull from the community to mimic local businesses, which makes for a fun, authentic learning experience for the kids about commerce and culture and nature and all kinds of great things. The prices are affordable, and you can usually find ways to get in for free through your library card or other promotions. The area to the left for smaller kids and babies is my favorite. It is such a blast, and so perfectly suited for babies and toddlers. They can run around safely for hours back there. Oh, and to top it all off, there is a breastfeeding pod by the bathroom where moms can feed their babies, and there’s an outlet to charge your phone in there. It’s the best.

My almost two year old son had a blast here! Every exhibit had something that he found engaging and it was nice to let him lead our way around the different areas. For his age range, the sand box and water tables were the most fun. It’s hard to keep the kids apart for the COVID restrictions but everyone was doing the best they could. It was reasonable traffic during the 10a-1p time on a Sunday.

This is such a wonderful space for hosting a fashion show. The Brooklyn Children's Museum is located in Crown Heights, just a few block north of Eastern Parkway. It is nestled in a picturesque neighborhood and surrounded by a park on two sides.. On Sunday 9th, September, Designer Mel Simon showcased his new collection entitled 'A Garden In Bloom'. The show was well attended by over 200, high fashion and adoring audience... complimented with shoes by Sheriff Christopher's Sheriff Collection.

Definitely not the same experience that I had as a child coming here. The exhibits were more interactive, now everything is bolted down and kinda boring. My daughter still seemed to enjoy herself however and loved putting her hands in the small stream like exhibit that flows down the middle of the buildings first floor just as I did growing up. I was told when there are events there is tons more to do and see. Health Care workers, 1st Responders and EBT card holders get a discount upon entry for up to 5 family members including themselves. Overall still worth a visit. The museum closes midday to clean/sanitize reopens at 2pm.

Great for kids. Although it would be great if there was a exhibit of a bank for kids to see and a fire truck and simulation of how fires work and to put them out. Also a bubble exhibit, I believe that would enhance the experience That would be great if there was more for the kids.

The museum itself is a wonderland for kids. The second floor, in particular, is a standout – it's perfectly tailored to captivate young minds with its interactive and educational exhibits. The activities here are not only fun but also stimulate learning and creativity in the most engaging ways. Another fantastic feature is the museum's expansive garden. This outdoor space is filled with various activities, allowing children to enjoy and learn in a natural setting. It's a refreshing change from the indoor exhibits and adds a nice variety to the overall experience. But perhaps one of the most unique aspects of the Brooklyn Children's Museum is the opportunity to encounter real live animals. This experience can be both thrilling and educational for kids, offering them a chance to learn about different species in an up-close and personal way. The Brooklyn Children's Museum is a truly delightful destination for families. Each ticket is priced at $15 for both adults and children, making it a fair deal for a day packed with fun and discovery. While there's an additional $4 locker room fee for storing personal items like jackets, it's a small price to pay for the convenience and security of your belongings. Keep in mind that a bottle of water costs $5, so you might want to bring your own.

This makes a fun activity to do with kids. Can easily spend 3+ hours here. After you have explored the little sections of the museum head upstairs for the color lab shows that happen every hour or to the reading zoo where there's bean bags and puppets and bunches of books to read with the littles. My niece loved it and we had a fun, entertaining, and educational day the museum!

As far as activities for rainy or cold days, I think this is a great choice. Not sure how busy it’s gets on weekends, but we went on a Wednesday afternoon. It was quiet, the few kids there were babies and preschool age and we were able to enjoy all of the exhibits at our leisure. World Brooklyn was super cool with the little shops the kids could play in. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to try out the cafe as they decided to close early. Not enough patrons on a school day I guess. I thought the admission was high at first but walking through I thought the museum was well maintained & each “shop” had fun things for the kids to play with. Gift shop prices were reasonable and I got a few books for the boys commemorating our visit.

I loved it. The space and the upstairs outside space to allow you to eat with you kiddos and get fresh air us wonderful. Unfortunately, the stroller check was just a room without an attendant. Our strollers are our little cars and would hope there would be an attendant just like the Children's museum in Manhattan(especially since it accommodated alot more people). SIDE NOTE: We ended up bringing our strollers with us, along with other parents because it didn't deem safe to leave in the unattended room.

It’s a great place for kids to learn and play. However. Communication to the public is terrible. Went on a rainy day, to find out they are closed for 2 week annual maintenance. It was not communicated anywhere on the website, or at least nowhere that it was visible. Also the AC issue, if you have no AC in the building during the heat of summer, at a place that hosts kids..maybe consider a prominent banner or something. Anyway, hope those things get resolved. Aside from that great place to visit.

Interesting educational place for cold rainy day to be there with kids. It is nice that they can touch everythingtherr. The only moment which I did not like was price, short time: 1.5 hour only and too much restrictions for current situation.

During the Covid cautiousness, they have time limited sessions in the museum. My kids still had fun playing with all the exhibits. Especially the role playing stores.

This place is amazing. I would literally give it a 11/10. Everything is just really fun here. You can play in this amazing children's museum for as long as you can. This place is really good for kids under the age of 13, but its fine if your over 13 and would like to visit. People are usually very nice and prices are just right. Great children's museum!

Great place to bring your kids to learn, touch and see what the world is about. Check for hours as they have changed during the Covid pandemic.

Took my daughter here on a Tuesday morning. She loved it, it's a nice place nothing special , keeps the kiddos entertained. The children's museum in Las Vegas is much nicer

Great place for kids. I definitely recommend. Great for them to learn new things, and play with tangible items.
