The owner is awful to the teenagers at the middle school across the street during the school year. A real Karen, with a matching haircut. Threatening kids for riding skateboards or bringing a dog. The 9 hour long cover-band performances are obnoxious (and awful) to residents. Inconsiderate, selfish owner. Great historic place. Rude owner, loud events.

Not a bad place if you want to skim the surface on what colonial life was like in NYC. The place is nicely maintained and has been restored perfectly. On the inside their are attractions like a fun game, cannon ball simulation and articles/documents line the place. It's honestly just very small and too short to properly spend a day here, so if you live further than 30 minutes from here it's probably not worth coming

Been there few times a year for workshops and lectures as well as checking the exhibits and it doesn't disappoint. It might be small but it is a perfect outing when you want to nourish your soul without crowd nor pricey entrance fee, quality and originality. The House itself is historic in itself and is a little gem i hope locals appreciate. I'm in Queens and don't mind driving here occasionally to check out its creative mini showings. Sampling is good for the soul when time and mind are restricted to fatigue and other busy life; a little dose of art and knowledge expand the mind and connect new neurons synapses!!🙃

A nice place to stop by and learn about the Battle of Brooklyn. A super kids friendly place with 3D board games like to play.

I was absolutely amazed by the experience! The attention to detail in the reconstruction is truly impressive, and it really brings to life the history of the area. The local history displays are also fantastic, providing a fascinating glimpse into the past and helping to put the battle and its aftermath into context. It's truly incredible to be able to walk in the footsteps of the soldiers who fought and died on this ground over two centuries ago.

If you're looking for a function space or an area to host an event, look no further than the Old Stone House. Not only is the venue truly wonderful, the people behind it are even better. They are supportive, helpful, driven, and truly want you to succeed. We recently hosted a large event at the Old Stone House and all throughout the team at the Old Stone House were happy to help at every turn. I highly recommend this space for all your concerts, galas, performances, barbecues, and more.

The owner of this building is a real Karen to say the least. She’s not very nice. We approached the house to get a closer look and she approached us with a demeaning answer that we couldn’t go near there and to basically move away. She should just post no trespassing sign unless you make an appointment and pay to see inside. We also witnessed her screaming at a kid running on the lawn in front of her “house”. It’s literally next to a playground if you don’t like the atmosphere it’s time to move! So distasteful. Hopefully that place gets knocked down!

A very unusual building being very historic in an otherwise normal Brownstone suburb of Brooklyn. We were not able to go inside as it was being used for a private function.

A nice, small historical museum in a family park in Park Slope. The museum has limited information on the area's role in the Revolutionary War and an art exhibit. There is not a ton to do here, but if you're in the area, it might be worth stopping by. I went to a performance here by Opera on Tap and it was wonderful!

This place is my home. When I have turf links that go late into the night and I’m too tired to go home, I just stay in the old stone house. This makes it so I can have turf links any time of the night. Man I love the old stone(r) house. If I die young bury me here 😊 #turf #ilovetheturf #linksatturf??? #turfhead

This Museum is great to visit for brooklyns history and where it all started. Seem "Brooklyn" was the epicenter of colonial times. Very informative and interactive. Visit on weekday afternoons for a private experience!

What a great piece of history in brooklyn. This where George Washington fought the troops from to known that I'm stepping in a piece of history is absolutely mind blowing to walk in the foot steps of such a great general. Besides the old stone house there is a soccer field swings and slide sets , monkey bars and sprinklers for the summer time I will definitely recommend heading here with the kiddos on a nice day fair warning it can get jam packed here so bring some refreshments and your running sneakers

Took my son 2 1/2 yr old to see a production (The Very Naughty Penguin) by Spellbound theatre. What a delightful experience. The play itself was interactive which is absolutely key in entertaining and teaching toddlers. And Spellbound theatre has a knack for doing both. The staff was super friendly. I loves that they had some crafts for the kids to get in to while waiting for the show to start and after the kiddos were able to interact with the puppets. Be sure to get the season pass which saves you a few bucks per visit because if you're anything like me after your 1st visit you will not want to miss any of their other shows. P.S you can easily make a day of it because right outside the theatre is a very nice park so pack lunch for after the show and let those little Energizer bunnies run wild. Thank me later😘

Went here with some friends and it's beautiful. Nice fake grass area for kids to play and do some sports. Also has relatively clean bathrooms and a water fountain. It's dog friendly but must be on leash. Nice water play area for kids and some swings and things. The gardens are stunning too

Has a food garden/wildlife habitat, composting at the Sunday farmer's market, events at an historic building, some cultural and some horticultural. Outdoor theater nights in summer. Cool waterworks in playground in summer. Mostly for children but with an area that has those older, too.
