Needed a place to hang before dinner reservation. Found this place by using google maps. This bar is on the 4th floor of the mall and by the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema. I found out you can order a bottle of bubbles to enjoy in the cinema.

A bar in the cinema floor, just go to the fourth floor and head to the Wax. You will find a low light bar with a strange but interesting decoration. There are wax figures all over the place and the stage looks fantastic, I can image the Miss Piggy Lovers playing there. The food is regular and the cocktails are very good. It´s not a 5* review because I feel some menu options are missing, but please try the veggie buffalo wing…. Very, very good.

Anatomical venuses, wax anatomy, related cocktails to what's showing at Alamo Drafthouse. Fun!

Fun atmosphere, fyi bar is in the movie theater. The cocktails are pretty good for the price. 14 for an interesting cocktail. Always fun to walk around and look at the pieces of art, def weird and not as much going on as like an actual museum of-course but if you like weird stuff like this it’s fun to walk around with someone after a few drinks.

We got here and all the seats at the bar were full, so we sat down at a table. It was a Tuesday night. We waited for several minutes and no one approached us, so my husband walked up to the bar to ask for a menu (we were wanting drinks and a little food.) The bartender gave him an appetizer menu with about 5-6 items on it and that's it. There were no cocktails listed on the menu posted above the bar, just 4 million kinds of beer, which neither of us drinks. I know they serve cocktails apparently but it seems they didn't want anyone to know about them as they aren't posted anywhere and we weren't given any type of drink menu. After waiting a little while longer, we decided to look around at the wax museum and then just leave. Disappointing visit. The 2 stars goes to the wax museum itself as it was really cool.

This place is inside the Alamo Drafthouse lobby and a good place to grab some drinks and light snack before your movie. Prices are steep but this place isn't meant to spend a whole night at. The wax museum inside is really cool and definitely worth checking out

Amazing bar. Staff are great, drinks are imaginative. Location is an upper floor of a shopping mall, so, it does seem a bit out of place. Very worth the visit. Atmosphere is astounding!

Trendy spot with signature cocktails and creepy( as advertised) wax figures. It's a great spot to pop your head in before or after watching a film. Happy hour specials and HUGE beer selection(41 on draft when I visited). I will be visiting again.

I stopped in for a quick drink after seeing a movie earlier at the Alamo. Since I am a horror freak and consider myself quite morbid, I absolutely loved the ambiance of this place, in spite of it being a tad dark. Before sitting at the bar, I was pretty taken with all the amazing wax heads that they have on display. The bartender that I had was friendly, and he could really whip up a great and strong cocktail. They have a good-sized menu for drinks and reasonable priced, in my opinion. It's definitely a place to check out before or after a movie or if you are just shopping in the area. I will most certainly come back in the future.

Great bar with a nice view and chill atmosphere. It's lively but also not chaotic, just enough that you can have a conversation with company and vibe to good music. Decorated with many odd wax figures in glass displays, probably where this bar gets its name from.

Quirky little bar on the 4th floor outside of the Alamo Drafthouse, featuring several walls of wax heads and human anatomy. The bar itself feels like a speakeasy. You don’t need a movie ticket to enjoy the bar, FYI. Good, strong craft cocktails.

Can't say enough good things about the bartender on a quiet Sunday night - made an excellent marg, was very accomodating when I only had Apple Pay, and was clearly on top of his game! I'll definitely be back whenever we go to a movie at Alamo, and appreciate the excellent service and vibes!

The bartender made our drinks with such care and finesse. it was wonderful to see how much he enjoys his job. Such a cool place to stop and have a drink and look around!

Amazing bar in Brooklyn. Great service from the staff, particularly Ronald. Not sure if the quiz is a regular thing but it was fun on the 30th October. We'll be back.

A cool bar displaying antique wax figures. It's red and moody atmosphere are a good spot for conversation and relaxing. The drinks were well prepared.

The bartender lady was more interested in making friends than serving the customers. (Glanced at me waiting, and got back to the person who already paid). When I finally got to her she complained about how I didn’t use the number for the beer because… that’s my job? Next time I will make sure I memorize the entire beer menu because who needs this kind of service? 🥲

Great cocktails and morbidly spooky atmosphere. Also watched the bartender get screamed at by an entitled douche and he was super cool and professional about it. Go here if you’re in Brooklyn.

Def a unique bar to try in Brooklyn. The place had a few people, the atmosphere was great.

Came for a Taste of Katz (located within the CityPoint mall at Dekalb) and stumbled upon this prohibition-style bar. Rows of death masks and gory displays greet you at the entrance. The macabre vibes were certainly a switch from the regular bar scene, and the atmosphere takes you far away from the bright mall lights. I was not surprised to spot absinthe on the menu. Come for the happy hour and stay for the light and fun trivia game! Losers get a complementary death mask (i jest).

It was a quick stop and didn't stay long but Love the Ambience!.. which is scary mixed with creepy mixed with speakeasy vibes. Drink was great and the bartender was friendly. Will definitely be back.

While the beer list hasn't gotten back to it's pre-COVID quality, the service is still top notch and the atmosphere is really relaxing.

Great tap selection. Great bartenders. You can take your drinks right to the theater. Def 0lan some extra time before seeing a movie at Alamo drafthouse.

I've visited this spot outside the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Brooklyn multiple times since they opened and I am never disappointed. Cocktails are very reasonably priced for New York and well made. Come for the wax sculptures and stay for the drinks.

We visited Brooklyn to visit friends. At their suggestion we stopped in for a quick drink and to check out the macabre wax sculptures. My girl and our hosts enjoyed the ‘Mature’ was sculptures and historical ‘lessons’ they provided. Although our hosts only wanted to stay for one, my girl and I had two, they were just that good. I had a Brooklyn which had a few different varieties and she had the Dead Horse Bay. I will be back next time I’m in the area. 4 stars because we didn’t eat there.

Super fun spot, super random location!! Located on the 4th floor, above the Target. The drinks were great, the bartender was cool, and it was fun to wander and check out the exhibits. Totally worth a visit!

This place wasn’t easy to find but worth the hunt. House of Wax Cocktail bar is inside the Alamo Taphouse on the 4th floor above Target. They were starting to shut down the bar when we walked in but the bartender was still pleasant and let us order a couple Old Fashions which were excellent. Bar Vibe was awesome , weird and eclectic. Dozens of beers on tap, great cocktails and killer vibe. This place is a must see. Also a cinema upstairs playing vintage and newer cult classics.

Good set of cocktails as well as craft beers. And macabre wax fixtures give it a unique look.

The wax museum is sooooooo cool. They are really old wax sculptures with really weird and gross things. Think infant deformation. Transgendered parts. Organs moved from wearing a corset. Cool and weird. They have a zillion beers on tap and about 6 ciders Which is always a plus for me!!!! Will be back here and try for some drink shopping afterwards.
