Small but clean, sharp looking Irish pub. 8 beers on tap, a hand full of cans, a bunch of cocktails and a small food menu. They have a coat rack when you walk in, which I think is a nice touch. Not that I assumed it wouldn't clean, but I was impressed by how neat and sharp the whole place is. It is dim lit but there is a big window in the front that lets in some natural light. They have a picnic table o it front but I am not sure about taking any food or beer out there.

This bar is the best way to drink Guinness. The curry mayo that came with the potato wedges was so good I had to ask for more. And the beef sandwich on soda bread was d-d-DYNAmite.

Great Guinness and really good food. For food I highly recommend the toastie, although it’s a bit pricey for what you get. As for atmosphere, it just has that “it” vibe that makes you want to come back, which we will be soon!

Had the best craic in Hartleys. Went for just two creamy pints of Guinness, met the lovely bartender Miles and his friend Jim. Stayed for several more, Guinness is too notch. Music was great too. A little gem of a spot in Bushwick 🫶🏻

Awesome neighborhood bar. Just avoid the shifts with the pale thin red head dude, he prefers texting or hanging with his girlfriend over tending to the bar, and when he does get around to it does the absolute minimum. I can't tell if he's a jerk or just really doesn't want to be there. Both? One of the only times I didn't tip 25 percent. Otherwise the main staff and food is tops, always a great vibe for locals... Almost always ;)

One of the best Guinness pours in the city but please, change the music. It is so bad and not what anyone wants to listen to.

Cosy dive bar in the heart of Brooklyn. A great place to meet friendly locals for an honest chat and good tips on the area👌

Overall rating: 5 I love this spot. I’ve been here a few times, with friends, with dates, by myself. I love it! It can be a little crammed on popular days, but it gives me the homey feeling every time. I recently found out they play blue grass on Mondays and it’s so fun. I love folksy music. The salad was surprisingly very good. The bartenders are so nice and I really just enjoy this place so much. Highly recommend if you live in the folksy, hippy, chill energy.

Went for a pint of Guinness, served just right. The bartender was friendly and attentive to my requests and engaging in conversation.

Only good things to say about Hartley’s. The bartender was so nice, service was great, the drinks were made with care and the food was amaaaazing. We got the popcorn with Irish cheddar (most generous portion I’ve ever seen at a bar), roasted carrots and parsnips (wow), hartley’s toastie and the house-spiced beef sandwich. The sandwiches are all made on their house-made soda bread. The space itself is on the smaller side and very cozy, and they have some tables outside for seating as well. Will definitely return.

Food is interesting but not super delicious, they are weirdly intense about seating here, but overall cool little Irish pub

Good Irish bar - nothing flash - no flashing green shamrocks and leprechauns, just Guinness on tap with a good beer selection and some basic pub food. The whole menu is on the wall, simple and sufficient.

The only Irish beer was a Guinness. This was, to me, an intentionally-loud hipster bar. It was packed, which I don’t understand. There are proby thousands of these places here. Not especially interesting or unique. The only food I had was a cheese plate, which was very average. The Austin cider was as good as it was when I had it back in Austin but definitely not Irish.

Fun spot to grab a pint and some stew and listen to live music! Come early because it gets pretty crowded when the band comes by.

Cozy little Irish bar. Solid beer selection with friendly service and delicious plates of food. Went for Saturday brunch, it wasn't annoying and it was actually quite calm, which was nice. The quality of the food was very good as well; thick cut bacon and perfectly cooked eggs. Definitely going to come back and recommend to friends.

Cool spot! But no happy hour. They used to have one but no longer, in case you see it pop up on Google.

Great relaxed vibe, beautiful handcrafted wood decor, and a fresh pint of Guinness. Live music on Monday's. What more can you ask for? Now with DJs and outdoor space!

This is the spot to go if you know what's good. Really great atmosphere, food and drinks are excellent, Covid setup is good, just a nice vibe all around. Highly recommend.

stopped by for a beer around 7pm and there were nine kids under the age of 10 running around underfoot shouting and squealing. Not my vibes

Awesome. This place exemplifies everything that makes a bar great. I’m a bartender - I don’t Yelp/review unless I have something nice to say ( like all decent people should ) Best Guinness in Brooklyn, hands down. Bartender made me feel welcome the second I walked in - and poured me a perfect Guinness - which is an art. No mirrors, no tv’s, candles and low light, lovely and kind atmosphere, super personable and warm bartender. This place feels Irish in a warm and authentic way, feels like what bars can be on their best day, a place where we can go to be among others and share a pint in good will. What a treasure.
