I’m officially obsessed!! Came here on a whim after arriving too early for a show at Elsewhere. Once I experienced the chill atmosphere, tasty food and creative drinks, I knew that this would be one of my go-tos in Brooklyn. The staff here are also super welcoming and efficient! I don’t live locally, but I can promise that I’ll be back many times in the future.

I'm so glad that I finally visited this place. The front yard is very nice. Inside it's not very big but it's comfortable. The prices are very reasonable and the service is great. I had the Scotch Egg which came over a bed of Organic Mix Spring Lettuce and sauce on the side. It was very tasty. They have a wonderful Brunch menu and really good specials. The music was great. A lot of 80's songs. The vibe is amazing. The people were friendly. Many were people from the neighborhood but they were very welcoming. It is also a dog friendly place. Also it is located on a block where you have The Bushwick Collective (streets full of street art). I enjoyed my time here a lot and I can't wait to go back.

Nice and cozy spot for meeting with friends! Good atmosphere; Friendly and welcoming staff along with tasty food and fast service. Moreover, I can say that i am in love with their fries! It’s the most delicious one I have ever tried before

I’ve been coming to the Rookery for over 5 years. It’s hands down my favorite bar in Bushwick. Cozy on the inside with the best vibes. The owner Jamie is a legend. Jonna behind the bar is the greatest. You’re guaranteed a good time here no matter what. Sit outside and enjoy the patio. The food at The Rookery is spectacular too. Can’t say enough great things about this place.

me and a couple coworkers made the adventure from downtown NYC to Bushwick to experience something beyond the city hustle bustle. The Rookery was a unique little spot tucked behind a wooden fence. Jonna was an absolute delight, she welcomed us immediately when we walked in and brought pleasant conversation to our entire experience. The only thing I would change is I could have this place back near me in Arizona. I LOVE this place. 10/10, would visit again.

Went in for a quick bite and loved it. From the patio to the interior, the art and design, it was all beautiful. The food was delicious! I had the oxtail sandwich topped with Jerked guava sauce and a French/Haitian hot sauce (super spicy btw) and fries (perfectly crispy and hell thicc). I gave 4 stars because it was a bit confusing to order, and get your food and dogs anywhere i eat is a no no for me. I had some Redemption Rye Whisky, smoother than Michael Jackson and a Missionary cocktail, both combined gave me a super nice buzz. Overall, excellent spot and excellent food!

Waited in line for a half hour for a can and the cashier in the white sweater was incredibly rude. Hope covid treats this place well!

As a member of the Burger king's club since 1992, I approve of the fries at the Rookery. They're steak cut, the best kind. The fried comes with a spicy, creamy sauce; however, I forget the name of it. We were welcomed by the bartender, Brian or Bryan; either way - great bartender. On Monday nights they have $5 mussels, highly recommended. The drinks got us lit. The place has a large front patio that can fit a large crowd. OH and we finished off with fried oreos.

If I can give zero I would .. Only 3 pieces of fried pickles for $8.. absolutely not .. should have also wrote it on the menu that they only serve 3 pickles ! What a laugh!

I miss Scotland sometimes. Good thing The Rookery exists - I can get my pub food fix, my proper English breakfast fix, my black pudding fix, and of course, my proper pint fix! All this blended with Brooklyn sensibilities makes this a regular session for me!

Was looking for a pet friendly place to get some food and this came up. The atmosphere is chill but the food was nothing special. We ordered Rarebit and Rookery burgers, neither was better than a double whopper. We also ordered wings which were just normal. The fries that came with all the orders were waaaaay too salty. For drinks we just had beers and their margarita which was good / the best thing we had during this visit. Staff was friendly and vibes were laid back. Wouldn't recommend this place for food but would for drinks and hanging out with friends.

Portions are embarrassingly small...spent $18 on a fish and chips that was 1/3rd the size of a typical $12 fish and chips. My brother bought a cold brew which was $10. See pics you’ll be as surprised as we were. I changed my stars to a 5 but understand I came to your restaurant to support you during the “industry crushing pandemic”. You can’t blame me for thinking $10 is to much for a coffee

Quirk-ery everywhere. I’ve been to The Rookery 2 times the last few weeks. Both times there was an oddly mingled crowd, with some quirky bar staff. Totally dig it!! On my afternoon adventure, we got some apps. The Brussels sprouts are quintessentially buttered with a lively kick from the peppers. If you get the fries, 100% get the aioli! I enjoyed the garlic aioli on my Brussels sprouts too. The deviled eggs were def my favorite out of the 3 samples we tried, whipped to perfect consistency. At 7pm certain wines were half off! We started too early to partake, but I’ll definitely be back. When I came on a late night adventure, it was just my party and One other on the patio. Was very chill for 2am on a weekend in Brooklyn, and I was ok with that! Felt like a hidden gem I probably shouldn’t be boasting about….. The set up is cute, horseshoe bar with a great deal of booths inside. Outside is a patio decorated with a plethora of greenery, courted with dainty awnings over each table. An ideal date night spot, a nook to quietly read a book with a stiff bev, or maybe a convenient place for intimate conversation…. Could totally be a rager too, the place is your pallet!

Unfriendly bartenders, they are not friendly or attentive with an attitude but still expect a tip...specially the curly hair lady..if you are working in hospitality you need to learn how to be hospitable to people...I aske for a lemon drop and it was horrible...does not know how to make a.titos lemon drop...too much sugar and too bitter ..mixe was off...they also just have burgers...nothing special.and they call it Pat LaFreida 6oz Blend of Chuck, Brisket, and Short Rib, Gouda Cheese, Herb Aioli and Pickled Green Tomato and it is nothing like described...i hate to be lie and mislead...and charge a lot of money for bad food....I gave them zero stars...dont recommend anyone who enjoys good food to go here..or a good made drink..maybe if they only have to pour it...As a cheef nobody can lie to me about their food...

WARNING! If you are latino or black you will be discriminated. I was on a date with my husband and the woman in the window didn't want to take our order and was very rude. The latino waiter was polite. We left and had a great time at La Lonchería a few blocks away.

Great bar with awesome food! We had their deviled eggs, truffle fries, and deep fried oreos. Everything was delicious! I'm not sure if it's the same in the evening but when we went during lunch hour, there was no table service so make sure to go up to the bar and order!

Beautiful space with great little details (inside AND outside space). Superb service with genuinely friendly people. Awesome and original cocktails with some real spunk too them. Yummy appetizers too (we loved our honey spiced wings!) Will come back!

My friend and I came for happy hour and it was pretty good! Bar seating was relatively full, but the rest of the place was open. We had a few aperol spritz drinks, the fried pickles (you get 3 per order), deviled eggs (you get 4 halves per order) and shishito peppers and both left satisfied. Drinks are $5-10 and select food is $5 during HH.

Haven’t been to the Rookery in a while since the pandemic started but it’s still as great if not better than it used to be. They’ve made some renovations to the inside and outdoor space. The staff took great care of us. Shout out to Carlos for some great service! Will definitely be back again soon!

The food options are a bit limited but everything taste fantastic. Mussels and the hanger steak were on point and the bartender Martin, was very attentive and skilled in his craft. Cocktails are great, ambiance is great, it’s one of my favorite spots close to home

Love the little neighborhood pub, came here for a quick drink before theater. The space is nicely decorated. It's quiet on a winter week night. Just some folks sitting by the bar. The guys behind the bar are friendly. Drinks are delicious and reasonable price. There are some signature cocktails and some draft beers. Some bar snacks available.

The Rookery has a wonderful rounded bar and a few booths as well as phenomenal outdoor seating for the warmer months. With a great selection of bites and an even greater selection of whiskeys and the like. (Have an High West American Prairie or an Eagle Rare Single Barrel) The food was fresh and tasty. Came out fast. The menu leans English pub grub. The deviled eggs were not over done and the micro greens were tasty. I also had the Moules Frites which were a large portion and had rich flavor. I am going to have to try the brunch!

Such a great neighborhood bar. The food here is amazing and the atmosphere is always fun. With all the bars that are now here in the neighborhood this one is a staple. Definitely can’t go wrong.

Stumbled upon this gem after a long night of partying in Brooklyn. They serve food until 4 am which was great to see. The food was top tier - The Oxtail Sloppy Joe was next level. Overall, it’s a really cool space with good vibes, great soul, r&b music and a unique menu. - I honestly don’t think you can go wrong with anything on it!

Wow, we came here for their Monday mussels special and also split a burger. The special mussels are supposed to come in a smaller portion but they accidentally made two full-size orders and gave us both of them free of charge! The burger was remarkably well seasoned, the mussels were delicious and it was the best scotch egg we ever had!

Afternoon staff was not the friendliest but I’ve had worse. Cool atmosphere, more than half the seating is available outside, and about 2/3rds of that is shaded. Food was above average just not spectacular. Small beer tap selection but 6 or 7 ain’t bad! Seem to have a nearly full bar. Though not real willing to get creative outside the menu, even if they’re old classics like a painkiller.

Came for a glass of wine at the bar and even though the staff was overwhelmed by a last minute, very large party, service was quick and friendly. Order at the bar and then you're given a number to take with you back to your table for your food items to be dropped off. There are roughly 3 different kitchen bites, a handful of cocktails and three beers on the happy hour, Mon - Fri from 4 - 7.

Stumbled upon this place after looking for food all over from Bushwick to Maspeth late on a Sunday night. Split an order of Jerk Guava wings and a Rarebit Burger. The wings were good, regular bar food, but the burger was amazing. I haven’t eaten a burger in a while and was reminded of what I was missing. Will be back.

I didn't like the service in this place. I had to clean my own table to sit down. The wings were good. I think the best appetizer was truffled fries. The drinks were okay.

I was invited for a friends get together in February 2023 on a Friday evening. It had great mood and great bartenders. People were having fun and I actually purchased a bottle from them also because their house whisky I did enjoy very much. After purchasing the bottle, I was briefly in the way of were the bartenders come from behind the bar. The owner was very aggressive and rude to me in telling me to get out of the way. I was really upset especially after that because it wasn’t super busy and it felt completely unnecessary and killed my mood. Everything was good before that but I won’t go there again because of her; especially since she was unapologetic. The bartenders apologized several times and it helped cool me down but I didn’t want to leave a bad review solely because of one person. I do recommend people go there if they are in the area.

Perfect meal after catching a show at nearby Company XIV. Loved all the foods we got there: drinks, a mix of light bites, and an entree to share. Shishito peppers, chicken pot pie, fried green tomato, and Rookery fries with the sauce caddy were not to be missed. I recommend the jerked guava sauce add on too! Spacious outdoor patio.

When I walked into this place, I couldn’t help but turn to my friends and say “wow”. This place is so special. Never have I, in my many years, walked into such a place. It doesn’t get any more unique and wonderful than this place where I absolutely have been.
