Fantastic food, great ambience at reasonable prices. I had the Rizzo platter with pork, the meat was tender and extremely well seasoned. The sides were all vibrant and delicious! My friend got the quarter chicken platter and it was equally good. The mashed potatoes were like butter! The ice cream and blueberry cobbler for dessert was such a treat! It tasted like someone had just made it earlier that day. I’ll definitely be back!

dining here is so fun, i loved the vibe inside and their back patio! my partner and i arrived starving and ordered the full chicken, it was seasoned deliciously and cooked to perfection. so moist and delicious! our favorite side was the mac and cheese, but the roasted veggies and sweet potatoes were great too!

This is my second time coming back to Risbo and their food is just amazing! The chicken is moist and flavorful. The lamb is one of the tastiest that I’ve had. Definitely recommend getting the platter to enjoy a bit of everything.

Girl on the Pitch Social app has been asking me to come here and I’m so happy it finally happened. Their food is next level, gotta get the combo plate, and the Shepard’s Pie is amazing too. Would recommend going the ginger juice and ice cream too

Excellent. Michelin guide rated. Food is delicious. Space interesting, varied, well designed. Staff very friendly and polite. Atmosphere convivial—people first and privacy if you need it. We had to wait FAR too long on A Saturday at about midday or earlier. When I went to ask why we were still waiting after 30 minutes, I was shown the plates sitting on the counter but we had not been notified so it was barely warm.

You cannot go wrong with the Whatever Platter. The chicken is always amazing. Drinks are also good. The vibe is also great - inside is lively and outside is half covered, half open. But even if the in the open, there is tons of tree covering to keep you dry/shaded. It’s a vibe out there.

I attended a small private gathering held at Risbo and everyone could not stop raving about the food. Our menu featured Risbo favorites including the famed chicken, a variety of salads, dips, pita, rice, Mac and cheese, potato gratin. Oh and pickled veggies. Do not sleep on the pickled veggies! Everything had so much flavor, so fresh and we could not get enough. The restaurant welcomes you into a loving familial setting and the backyard is set up beautifully. Thank you Boris and Shani for your lovely contribution to the neighborhood!

Low-key ambiance with delicious food and excellent cocktails. We tried the duck, lamb and chicken platters and all were absolutely delicious. The ice cream was a better-than-expected treat! Order at the counter and find a seat, they give you a buzzer thingy so you can pick up your food when it’s ready.

Great food, great vibes! The customer service at Risbo is EXCELLENT, as is the food. I ordered the taco of the day (1 chicken, 1 pork) and my sister got the rotisserie chicken with veggies and mac n’ cheese. Everything was delicious! Will definitely be back on my next visit to Brooklyn.

Every-time we are in the neighborhood we make sure to stop at Risbo. The first time we came here was by luck but we’ve now been multiple times by love of their food. The taste and mix of flavors is phenomenal. The portions are great, we always leave with something for later. And we think about their creme brûlée cheesecake often.

such an interesting little spot. I love the vibe. I wish there were more options to mix and match different things on the menu. Flavors are pretty for here but I wish the portions were a liiiiil bigger for the price they’re asking.

Our friend recommended Risbo for their roasted chicken and WOW! The flavors were dynamite! Roasted chicken, roasted winter veggies, plantain, mashed potatoes and kale salad were all amazing and bursting with flavors. For dessert we enjoyed an apple blueberry cobbler and the pear brulee cheesecake with a hazelnut crust. Fabulous way to finish out the experience. The restaurant is largely self-service. The staff are friendly and super helpful in answering questions about the how-to and where. When we arrived it was peak hours and quite crowded but as our meals were prepped, the crowd subsided and we found a lovely seat out back in their quaint courtyard under the trees. Highly recommend. The inconvenience of a crowd was far overshadowed by the fantastic food and sweet dining spot out back.

My husband and I moved two months ago to the neighborhood and have been looking for new places around to have a nice dinner and in that searching we found Risbo. It’s an incredible place, the garden is beautiful, it’s easy, casual and feels comfortable. We had the kale salad that was amazing in flavor and quality, the duck, which for my husband was the best duck in many years, the ribs, delicious and the mash potatoes that were also very good. The drinks were also very nice. I would definitely recommend and come back. Ps. The poem about immigration and community made me felt that the dining experience was absolutely worthy and that this restaurant is more than just selling food.

The food taste, consistently, fresh and delicious at Risbo. There are plenty of healthy and affordable options to choose from. Love that the food is on display and you can choose/customize what you want to eat. I recommend the spicy cabbage, the gratin dauphinois, the rotisserie chicken, and the rack of lamb. I’ve done dine-in/ delivery/ takeout but I enjoy eating at Risbo because of the ambiance. Their music playlist, the cocktail, the food, the backyard set a vibe. I love that the restaurant also fits the neighborhood. It doesn’t take away from Flatbush.

Wow, this place looks great from the outside but smells even better and has a warm cozy vibe. Place your order at the counter, take a buzzer/number and find a table inside or outside. Choose from communal tables or cute low level seating and cushions in the backyard/outdoor garden patio area. Good music playing and great cocktails to choose from, place your drink order with bartender across from food order counter. Risbo platter rotisserie chicken was really good, also liked the Mac and cheese as well. You can taste the love in it. Boiled stuffed plantain was ok, kind of cold and basic not really necessary. Small assortment of ice cream and sorbet available, really liked the lychee sorbet, 1 scoop even at $4 or 5 was worth it. Definitely a great weekday dinner solo spot or intimate gathering with friends on the weekend.

We liked it for the overall vibe and new tastes. Pita and hummus was excellent. Pita was piping hot. The Risbo platter had a lot of interesting sides which I liked. The chicken was good, I liked it better than the roast pork. I wanted the pork to be a little more succulent, but it was flavorful. Next time, I will try the duck and lamb. You order and pick up at the counter. Outdoor seating is super cute and a ton of options back there.

Great place for good food and a casual vibe. My partner ordered the Risbo platter with lamb and I essentially built my own platter starting with pork from the rotisserie and adding on grains and veggies. Service was timely and the outdoor seating area is beautiful. I think it's a bit expensive for what it is, but would recommend it regardless.

Risbo in Brooklyn is an absolute gem, and I'm here to shout it from the digital rooftops! 🌟 The Risbo platter with duck is a must-try, a culinary masterpiece blending flavors like hummus, spicy cabbage salad, plantain, and perfectly roasted veggies. The whatever rice pilaf and housemade sauce? Total game-changers. The atmosphere is a vibe, striking the perfect balance between modern chic and welcoming warmth. The staff is top-notch, making your experience feel personalized and memorable. But what's really skyrocketing Risbo up my favorites list is their spot-on music selection – seriously, it's like they have a DJ for taste. Tried the Mezcal Negroni and the Pidgin cocktail, both Insta-worthy and palate-pleasing. Cap it off with the Pear Brûlée cheesecake, and your taste buds will thank you. Trust me, this place deserves a top spot in your search results. 🚀 #RisboBrooklyn #CulinaryDelight #MustVisit

I’ve been here several times. Any time a friend is in the neighborhood, this is the first place we go. All the meats and vegetables are incredible. The chocolate chip cookies are incredible. I’ve had a few of the seasonal French 75’s which were also good. Taco, also amazing. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu, and my only critique of the food is the shepherds pie is not as amazing as the rest of the menu. Still pretty good.

I want to give it to five but I paid $22 for a very small corner piece of chicken that was fatty and tough. The vegetables and the rice and pork and the macaroni and cheese and the ducks were delicious tho. The ginger beers and sorrel were good too. Oh yea, the ambiance is everything.

This place is so great! Love the communal vibe, great staff and they also have a bar with awesome cocktail selection. I recently discovered there was a backyard that is even heated for the winter months. The chicken is roasted in this herb sauce that is irresistible. Great place for groups of friends or a chill weekday vibe. It’s not really French traditional food I would say lots of mixed options buffet style. I’m becoming a regular…

Went here for the first time this past Saturday. Ordered the Risbo platter. Everything was delicious! But I have talk about the chicken. I don’t usually like leftover chicken because it gives this slightly raw taste; to me. But the chicken at Risbo, even the next day was amazing! I can’t think of a better way to describe it than to say it was like the chicken was still being seasoned even while leftover in the refrigerator. It was delicious down to the bones! Highly recommend and will definitely go again.

A perfect blend of tastes. I had the Risbo platter with lamb and it was awesome! Succulent medium rare lamb with spicy sauce to dip in, coupled with hummus, rice/sweet potatoes, and sweet & spicy slaw. Outstanding. And their cheesecake is even better. Decent prices too! Did I say YUM?

Delicious food at a good price. You have to bring the stuff back to your own table, but that's no problem. The girl behind the counter with the tattoos was as sweet as could possibly be. The guy at the bar counter who took my dessert order was extraordinarily pleasant. I loved eating outside in the back they even had some overhead heating. I will most certainly be returning.

Absolutely adore this place, I've been there several times before and each time the flavors just hit so well! The platter is excellent, the hummus and veggies are super tasty and the cocktails are refreshing. I enjoy the chicken and the pork a bit as well. The atmosphere is super friendly and diverse, like the space is super open and I love that! Service can be a little slow esp when its busy, but its worth the wait!

So delicious! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I only labs the bartender's name. Hi Joe! Thanks for working with me to find a drink my sister would like! The frozen watermelon rose is great even thigh I don't like gin. All the food is flavourful and yummy with good portions. Try the unique flavors of ice cream or other dessert. Ask the staff for recommendations if you're unsure. You won't be disappointed! I had a neighbor that would pop in simply to get a rotisserie chicken from them and now I get it! I can't say enough good things about this place! There was a tiny issue, but it was resolved quickly without hassle. We're already planning out next visit!

It's probably one of the most consistent experiences I've had with an eating establishment - stellar well-made food with fresh and seasonal ingredients. I eat here at least once a month, and if my pockets allowed it, I'd be there twice a week. You order, a buzzer is given to you and when your food is ready it's buzzes and you pick up your food from the counter. I had the fish, succulent and fresh and an additinal $15 to the popular risbo platter which usually comes with plaintain (half), rice pilaf, veggies of the day or week, hummus and pickled cabbage. They have a drink bar with a variety of cocktails, my favourite and most refreshing is their rum cocktails. You bus your own table. I love it there!

App "Infatuation" recommended this place for dinner. We wanted to try something unusual. When arrived I was surprised the beautiful design of the restaurant and backyard. It's self service restaurant with very nice and friendly staff. We ordered Risbo platters and mac and cheese. It comes with different types of proteins. I chose with lamb. For drink ordered non alcohol fresh bissap juice. About 10 minutes took to get dishes. I'd like to say it was soooooo delicious. Totally forgot take a picture of platter cause wanted to try faster. Bissap juice aslo good. 100% will come back and try something else.

I enjoyed the food and loved the ambience, the plants everywhere were calming and the back yard magical. I am not giving 5 stars because of the rude bartender who acted very condescending to me and didn't add my Angostura bitters to my drink. If she doesn't like working where she has to interact with Black people, she should work elsewhere.

One of my favorite restaurants in Brooklyn. I love their veg and meat options equally. The chicken is marinated so well and is rich with so much flavor. The Healthy One bowl is hearty, well portioned, and my favorite. My partner and I celebrated 1-year here. Sometimes the no contact, buzzer service has its glitches but I have noticed improvement over time. Come early on a Friday night for a seat! Great heat in the outdoor patio too for winter dining.
