Great big bar with a wonderful atmosphere! We enjoyed some pints and fun lively music from the (Fretwood Brothers) the night we went. My husband had Reissdorf Kolsch, a delicious German beer & I had a Downeast Cider UNF, an unfiltered hard cider - also delicious. There’s plenty of indoor & outdoor seating. Next time, we plan to go earlier & try some of the food. Btw, thank you bartender, Suzanne for being super friendly & providing excellent service! Check PBG’s social media for updates on live music.

A pretty nice and cozy place to just sit and relax. Food is good also. Got the Blackened Catfish which was tasty. The Jalapeno Margarita was banging. My server Ricky and the rest of the staff was very friendly. I will definitely come again....

We held a large group party at Prospect Bar and Grill. Johnny and the staff were amazing. The wings are some of the best I've had in the city! There were lots of great beers on tap as well. Highly recommend!

For a bar, their food is so good. Great place for drinks and good eats. Staff is attentive. Atmosphere is great! I forgot to take a picture of the drinks, but they were yummy

My first time there and will def be returning! We sat in the back garden, very spacious and lovely, cozy! We had brunch, my cousin had the prospect salad & I had the smoked salmon…we both agreed both were delicious!! The drinks were just as good and the service as well!! Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!

We're staying in Brooklyn and wanted something different last night, so we stopped here. The staff was friendly and the back patio was quiet and so nice. We opted for the chicken pot pie and mac and cheese, and they were both perfect. The pot pie was heavenly, and we were so glad we tried it. A lot of reviews say the food is good "for a bar," but the food was good, period.

Had prosecco with a friend on a sunny Sunday afternoon. It's a wonderful local hang-out with an easy, welcome atmosphere and fantastic garden. 💚

Prospect Bar and Grill has been my go-to neighborhood bar/restaurant for the last 2 years. Although the food never disappoints, and their spicy jalapeño margarita is one of the best I've ever had, the main reason my fiancé and I keep coming back is our favorite server Ricky! Just a few days ago, I threw my sister a surprise 30th birthday dinner for 35 guests, and Ricky went above and beyond our expectations and truly made it a special evening. If you are looking for a restaurant/bar in Park Slope that has actual good food, drinks, and a lovely staff such as my dear Ricky, give this place a try!

Decent bar/restaurant. I ordered the seared tuna with cauliflower which was OK. While it was seared, it also needed to be cooked through, which makes me slightly question the quality of the fish, but overall the dish was OK. Price wasn't crazy. Tap list was nice.

For being a bar the food is great, better than most bar food I've ever had (even some restaurants). The scene is nice, great atmosphere with great music. Only reason it didn't get a 5 star is because the drinks weren't that strong (we were drinking on an empty stomach).

Excellent craft beer menu. I had a Köstritzer. My picture is a little misleading as this menu item is listed with bacon a d sausage however they had a substitution listed for salmon making this pescetarian very happy. Relaxed atmosphere with bar and restaurant style seating.

We really wanted to like and support this neighborhood spot and visited it for the first time last night. but my partner who got a medium cooked burger just got bad food poisoning and couldn’t stop vomiting. We had every other meal together in the past week, and this is the only place where he ate while I didn’t (I only ordered a drink). 100% sure food poisoning came from here. Thus leaving a review at 3am (as at this moment he is still painfully throwing up) to give a warning about food safety issues

This place is a great neighborhood bar - friendly staff, yummy chicken wings, a good beer list, and a great back patio in warm weather. And it feels comfortable no matter if you’re coming in alone, with friends, a casual date with your partner, or with your kids.

Mac and cheese was excellent as well as the sweet potato fries and Buffalo wings. Would highly recommend the food

A convivial atmosphere and super-friendly staff make for an excellent group dinner venue. The Cajun fries are always a hit, while the tenders and wings are average. For entrees, the chicken pot pie has to be the star, with honorable mentions for the fried chicken sandwich and mac & cheese.

Were seated in the patio section which is quite nice. Good service and good food, had chicken ceasar and burgers that were ver good. Excellent beer selection, will definitely be back.

I worked with Prospect to throw a 50th birthday party, and it was such a success! Suzanne and John were easy to work with and always willing to listen to my questions and requests. I was comfortable working with them, and the night of, the staff was wonderful. The party went off without a hitch and the birthday boy had a great time! Definitely recommend for a smaller casual party. It will be a great time!

This is my favorite bar in South Slope. It’s always consistent, the food is great, and the drinks are good too. Johnny, the owner, is very friendly as are all the bartenders and servers. I’m here 2-4 times every month.

Food is comfy tasty. Fine seasonal menu in old pub like atmosphere. The staff is beyond attentive. And the bar is. Suzanne johnny. And Mr n you name it its made. Great tradition and bar culture
