I
hate
to
say
this
because
it
feels
cliche
but
it's
honestly
true.
The
Well
is
a
hidden
gem
in
Brooklyn/NYC.
From
the
background
music
that
was
apparently
pulled
from
the
shuffle
radio
of
my
dreams
to
the
incredibly
knowledgeable
bar
staff
like
Ian
who
would
would
wax
poetic
on
the
brewing
process
of
beers
with
minimal
prompting,
The
Well
has
all
the
extras
that
make
a
bar
worth
revisiting.
Upon
walking
in
the
door
you
descend
a
small
set
of
stairs
into
what
feels
like
a
sunken
living
room
watering
hole
of
your
own.
The
amount
of
unique
draft
beers
available
can
be
intimidating
for
anyone
but
the
staff
seem
happy
to
help
narrow
down
your
choices
based
on
personal
preference
and
their
own
favorites.
The
Well
features
live
music
most
nights
of
the
week
in
a
venue
space
known
as
No
Vacancy.
The
nights
I
visited
featured
everything
from
national
hip
hop
acts
to
local
punk
groups
performing
in
an
intimate
space
that
couldn't
hold
more
than
100
people.
A
much
larger
beer
garden
space
is
hidden
outback.
It
has
to
hold
nearly
500
people
and
is
used
for
local
festivals
and
casual
warm
weather
drinking.
Beautiful
wall
sized
art
adorns
the
walls
of
this
beautiful
historic
building
that
housed
breweries
dating
back
before
the
prohibition
era
on
the
early
1930s.
Check
this
place
out,
ask
for
Ian
and
make
sure
to
bring
some
friends
for
an
upcoming
show.
You
won't
be
disappointed.
Oh,
and
the
men's
room
smells
like
Wintergreen
mints.
