Born and raised NY’er, I am a young black woman who was raised in Brooklyn and has been living in Prospect Heights since I was in high school. I came to get a drink last night and was offered a table inside. Another couple came after me and was offered and given my table without any prior explanation. They didn’t have a reservation and was as confused as I was. When I inquired why, I was told by the host I was an “incomplete party”…yet I came to have a drink by myself. Even after realizing his mistake, he still gave the table to the couple that came after me and told me I can sit at the bar. I declined. So, congratulations to this place for contributing to the neighborhood turning into a complete yuppie village. We’ve been dealing with pretentious businesses treating the locals like pests and it’s really gotten out of hand.

Perfect for date night! We got there around 8:45 and it was very crowded (we lucked into seats after taking a lap around the place), but as the night went down the crowd died down. Cool vibe, cool space, great drinks, friendly staff! Will definitely be coming back for more cocktails!

Such a cute little back garden, and the drinks were great. We tried the empanadas and they were nice and crispy. Our waiter was super friendly and sweet. I'll definitely be back.

The low lighting & fairly low noise at this spot makes it a great place for a date. You’re able to have a conversation, not get bumped into, & be discreet. The furniture is a tad uncomfortable & probably needs some updating. The drinks are good. The service is a little slow but it adds to the ambiance, sometimes you don’t want to be interrupted mid sentence.

One of my favorite spots in Brooklyn, it can get crowded these days. But if you can get a table or a seat at the bar. Its great.

Lovely bar on Vanderbuilt Avenue in Brooklyn. VERY! decent cocktails. Early around 5 when it first opens is a nice time dark and nicely quiet. By 6 it's full. Either way highly recommended.

Cute place. Cozy, delicious cocktails, lovely interior. And they even had someone to find us a place to sit - it was the only seating available at the time, but I get what they were going for.

This place is definitely on the pricey side but I think worth it for the cocktails. They make great martinis!! Around 6 on a Tuesday it was empty but come on a weekend at the same time and you won’t be able to find a seat!

Great, relaxing ambiance for sipping cocktails and chatting with friends (or a date or co-worker, or even by yourself!). Will definitely be returning.

This place used to be a regular haunt for me and my husband (pre-2017), though the place hasn’t been the same in the last couple of years. The bar used to have a speakeasy vibe with knowledgeable bartenders in vests and excellent cocktails to match. Not sure whether there’s been a change in management, but The last few visits were not as great. Drinks were hit or miss and the atmosphere is a bit more divey than it used to be. I hope that they can recapture the original vibe

Aside from the big rat in the garden which scared my home girl out of her wits, the drinks especially the thunderbolt was Super!

When you want something easy, yet a step up from the your fav taco spot. I crave the large hand made tortillas chips and 7 salsas.

they don't have espresso...? how can you be a cocktail bar with no espresso or cream. waiter was very nice but the stocking of the bar itself was a huge turn off.

A special cocktail bar that’s been in the neighborhood for what seems like forever. The cocktails are delightful, with a lot of cheeky names or inspirations. The staff is friendly and always know how to make a good drink. And even when I’m not feeling like hard booze, the wine list hits every possible craving I could be having. Perfect date spot or solo drink at the bar kinda spot.

Love the interior of this speakeasy bar, but the backyard could definitely use an update to continue that same vibe. It is a covered backyard, but not really ideal if it’s raining too heavy. Fire in the sky and Spark it Up we’re really great cocktails and the guy waiting on us was really friendly and nice.
