Excellent pies! I have been coming here for takeout many times, it’s always grab n go, super easy. I love how the pie crust is very thin and the size is just perfect. Highly recommend their black bottom oats and matcha custard, super tasty and not overly sweet.

Really friendly staff and most importantly superb pies. Sold by the slice or the whole pie. A good variety of flavours from fruity pies to chocolatey ones. Perfect crust.

Tried 3 kinds of pies. Match custard was my favorite, rich matcha flavor and creamy. Two apple pies were okay for me. To seat outside, there are one table in front of the store and a bench. Really want to try pecan pie next time.

There’s a new-ish barista that is horrible and rude. Just stares at you to order, doesn’t say a word, doesn’t turn around the payment screen so you can actually see what you’re paying. She literally just pointed to the board for pricing instead of the usual approach to turn around the touch screen to show your total, add tip, signature, etc. literally hates being there and anyone that comes in is a disruption to her doing nothing all day

I've been here a bunch - we even had their pies at our wedding. Every single slice is a winner, and the pastries aren't bad either. The Dean St location is ideal because you can have a stout with your black bottom oat, or a glass of champagne with the salted caramel apple. Whole pies are available for $42, but the choice can be limited if you don't get there early.

Although not a huge fun of pies, I enjoyed the matcha custard pie after a morning run. It was creamy, grassy and sweet. It might be a bit too sweet for me, but the cold brew definitely helped. I would not mind if the crust is bit thicker. Next time gotta try the coffee custard.

I have no photo to post, alas. The strawberry rhubarb pie was exquisite and worth EVERY PENNY. It has been two days since we polished off the last slice and we’re STILL talking about it, just how damn good it was. Time to schlep back down to Brooklyn for another one. Love you guys at 4&20 BB, and the fine artistry you create. Long may you bake!

Ordered a pie for pickup on July 1st, and they did not have it available despite us paying for and placing the order online. Barista that afternoon said that that they have had a mixup with the pie inventory since this morning, and that this happened to previous customers that day before us too. Very disappointing experience that the staff did not address this proactively by fixing inventory or contacting customers with solutions. The barista only suggested 1) going to their different location to get the pie and 2) emailing support to get a refund.

They have great pies and a lot of variety. They have some good drink options as well. You can get good to go or eat in, but they have pretty limited seating at this location.

I'm not a custard pie person, but their lavender honey pie and salt honey pies were amazing. I myself had the black bottom Oat pie and loved it! Nice little spot that my kids and I will definitely frequent. The service was great and she was helpful in suggesting a wine that paired great with the black bottom Oat.

After hearing Boby Flay praise the pies from Four & Twenty Blackbirds, we decided to give it a try. We went to the Pie Counter and Bar on Dean Street. We chose the Peaconut and the Salted Caramel Apple pies. Both were delicious! The Peaconut was very unusual. Creamy texture with rich multi flavours and crunch from the peanuts. The Apple Pie was (as was described by Boby Flay) exemplary of what an apple pie should be. The homemade caramel sauce made the apple filling the star of this pie. We paired the pies with delicious cups of freshly brewed coffee. Will go back again for more. Thank you, Melissa and Emily, for bringing your amazing pies to NYC.

I've never eaten here just picked up pies here that I've ordered. These are my favorite pies in all of NYC. You can't go wrong.

The lady working Sun Dec 11 clearly does not know good customer service. We asked for a thermus of coffee for an event. We were willing to pay anything to help out the non-profit. She said “We don’t do that”. We walked two blocks in the rain and found a place that understand customer service. Walk two blocks to Caffe De Martini and you will have a great customer experience!

I’ve been going to the main location for years. I decided to pop into this new location since I was in the area. It is super quaint. I will say it’s a bit on the pricey side, 6 bucks for one slice. My mains are Matcha Custard, Chocolate Chess, Lemon Chess, Salted Honey, Apple Crumble.

Consistently great coffee. My favorite is the lavender latte, but I also love a nice iced oat latte. Pies are INSANELY good. I recommend the lavender honey and the matcha. Staff is wonderful too. My regular barista in the mornings is so friendly even at 8am. Great neighborhood establishment! Definitely give them a try!

Was craving a slice of pie and a cup of coffee, Four & Twenty Blackbirds did not disappoint. My partner and I ordered 3 slices, Cran-Apple, Brown Sugar Apple Streusel, and Matcha Custard. Each slice was delicious, fresh, and not too sweet. Bummed that sit down was not open, but totally understandable!
