Worth the hype. Nothing to complain about at all. Loved my cocktail (Coppa D’oro essentially an olive oil washed martini that made me with all gin martinis were this). Loved all the food. The Fava bean puree was even enjoyed by my 10 month old (can we get some snaps for restaurants with high chairs). The only thing making me upset is that we’ve been living the fort green for 3 years and this was our first visit.

Food was good, but, fairly unremarkable to be honest. Prices on the other hand, quite remarkably high. Made me wonder, why DID I go pay $150 to make someone cook me simple food I could have made at home for $30?

LOVE. Couldn’t decide so we did all three of the pastas, and the 3 ppl at the table all found a different favorite. Every pasta dish was amazing and their drinks were interesting + refreshing. I personally didn’t love the tomato-y martini drink but it was still nice to sip. Between food/drinks (1-2 rounds) we spent $100/pp

weekly family dinner club nite ... hyper local neighborhood version ... good service.great meal.capped by amaro by car headlight. one happy pappy. kudos to staff as i left a d.i.y. camera on the table that at most places would have wound up in the trash but here wound up in the shirt pocket of a busy server. thanks again.

Awesome find. Don't be put off by the slightly shabby exterior. Inside you'll find sleek white and dark wood interior. From the limited lunch menu I had the roasted beats and faro. Although not a large portion it was delicious. Super friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommended it.

Plan your meal accordingly to have their version of an espresso martini on their dessert menu. WOWOWOW it’s great. This place has been on my list for a while and I finally made it. Big fan and will definitely come again. Crostinis, fusilli, brisket and chicken were spot on. All of the drinks were great. Overall solid spot and when I’m in the neighborhood, this will be a top choice.

Incredible dining experience. I’ve been wanting to come here for some time and finally got reservations last night, did not disappoint! The space is comfortable and roomy. Service was welcoming and relaxed in the best way. We came at 5 and by 6:30 when we left the bar had slowly filled up so might be a good time to come if you’re walking in on a week night. I love that they switch their menu around weekly based off the seasons. We tried the fava bean puree, fried cauliflower, spaghetti with smoked mushrooms, the ragu, and panna cotta. Everything was delicious. The fava beans are not to be missed! Can’t wait to come back throughout the seasons and see what they have to offer!

a lovely dinner on a rainy day in BK! the restaurant was decently packed when we got there for an early dinner. the place had a nice ambiance too. we started with a Daily Sour and a glass of red. we got the following to try: -arancini verde: piping hot, crunchy on the outside, and cheesy/melty on the inside. a great start to our meal! -paccheri with squid, chickpeas, and peppers: al dente pasta with squid, chickpeas, and peppers in a slightly tangy sauce. it seemed like an unlikely pairing but everything fits. -chicken diavolo: huuuuuuge half chicken, served with roasted potatoes and broccolini. it was juicy and perfectly seasoned. the chicken is bone-in tho, something worth noting. service was attentive but not intrusive. a pretty solid meal in BK.

Roman’s is very cozy. A date here would make a lot of sense. If it’s not a romantic night out it can be a little too dark. The ambient is beautiful though. I loved my drink and definitely would recommend the fava bean puree as an appetizer and the panna cotta as dessert (best panna cotta ever). I would skip the caneloni I ordered.

Got a res & sat at the bar for two on a Saturday. Not loud, enough space to not feel cramped, great space. Ordered the flank steak and scallop entrees, and olives as the starter. I cannot make this up, the scallop dish was one of the best dishes I’ve had in NYC. The sweetness of the scallop, matching with the salty-citrus broth it came with… WOW! Bring it back! Cabbage, mushrooms, and sweet potato was great too. Very, VERY happy about this dish. Flank steak was also very good, the steak was cooked perfectly, and the chimichurri sauce was very good. It was accompanied by a flavorful & elevated rice and beans. Didn’t wow me, but you can taste the quality and flavor. Drinks great, and the warmed olives are yummy.

The food was delicious and fresh. Peas are in season and they used a lot of it, tasted so fresh. My favorite was they whipped ricotta. None of the dishes are over seasons or doused with sauce, so the ingredients really stand out. Only complaint was the place was small and which I don’t mind but sound wise it was really loud with everyone talking around us.

The food was very nice and the atmosphere is cozy. Our waitress was really attentive as well. Only negative point is that the dessert menu was a bit one sided. But I guess that changes since the menu had the date on it too.

I’ve been twice and it’s so good! They change their menu daily so something new every time. Delicious cocktails and dishes, everything is fresh and the customer service is wonderful. Favorite local Italian spot!

Extraordinary food! Fresh, organic ingredients, picked in season at their ripest, whipped into sophisticated combos. Menu changes daily. A delicious comeback for a culinary adventure, any day of the year.

Service was impeccable. Menu was small but thoughtful and the place itself is clean and well designed. A pleasure all around. Loved the wine list. Really well curated.

Cute date night spot. Our favourite part of the meal were the appetisers. We got the Fava bean purée and a big chicory salad. I wasn’t a fan of the sun gold negroni - it was too sweet for my taste. The pasta was decent and simple but if I’m being honest the competition for Italian food is fierce in this city and I’ve had better. We got the Linguine with tuna and the ravioli. Ravioli was the preferred dish. Hazelnut ice cream was really good. A nitpicky thing about the atmosphere, because the place is designed with tiles it has bathroom acoustics so the echo makes the restaurant 10x louder even if there is only a few people. We sort of had to shout at each other as if we were in a rowdy bar to be heard. We still managed to have a romantic evening though and the servers were very warm and welcoming.

Maschine schon geputzt. Alles im allem ok bis gut.

We used to love this restaurant and recommended it to friends, but on our last visits, the quality didn't match up with what we were paying for. The pasta didn't felt homemade, which is something other italian restaurants in this price range do. Service was good, but even though we made a reservation, we had to wait for another 15-20 min. Overall, we left disappointed.

Really enjoyed our meal here. The pastas were all delicious, as were the martinis. The melon and prosciutto was the best I’ve ever had. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. Would deffo recommend.

Truly everything was so wonderful. The staff was kind and patiently answered questions we had about the menu while also giving really thoughtful recommendations. Everything was delicious! We couldn't decide on an appetizer and after hearing our discussion they gave us a taster of the one we didn't choose. The daily bitter cocktail was the best cocktail I've had in a while. Can't wait to go back.

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Generally the dishes were nice but not so special. The entree we had was swordfish. It was overcooked which i think is a common mistake with swordfish. They also put a lot of pesto on the swordfish itself which meant that it lost the crispy edge and got soggy. Even though the flavors were nice, the overall dish was not satisfying. Reviewing the service is a bit difficult because several different people served us. Our first server missed a few critical things we asked for. But the last one was just amazing.

The food, beverages, ambiance, and overall experience at this place are exceptional. However, what truly sets it apart and makes me a repeat customer is the unparalleled hospitality. The staff members who work here consistently cultivate an environment of genuine warmth and care. It's evident that they derive joy from their work, interacting with people, serving delicious food, and crafting a remarkable atmosphere. This combination of factors is truly extraordinary and creates an enchanting and rare experience.

Haven’t been here in years, and not really sure why, this place outstanding. Food was excellent and service was great. We sat at the bar and the bartender was exceptional. Started out with the prosciutto and arancini, which were both amazing, then Had the fava and pea pasta spaghetti and the fusilli with meat sauce. The star was the fava and pea spaghetti hands down. It was light and delicious. Only small con, I wish they gave more bread considering get it from their sister bakery. I will be visiting again in the near future.

Found kind, attentive service at Roman's. Crespelle (a version of a crepe) was light and tasty, tagliatelle (pork ragu) was well done.

Honestly the food is okay but not worth the price. The pasta dishes were pretty whatever and for $30 for pasta I expected a bit more. The fava bean app was yummy but for $18 nothing too fancy. Our favorite thing was probably the citrus salad with olives and pistachios. It was the more impressive dish that I was excited to have. The chicken entree was yummy but overall, I don’t think the meal was worth $100+ per person.

Just delicious! Every once in a while you have a bite of something that reminds you just how amazing food can taste. That is Romans! Everything we tasted was phenomenal.

Terrific! A small neighborhood spot that shouldn't be missed. Excellent all around! The food menu is small, rotating and seasonally influenced. Everything we had was flavorful, vibrant and delicious. Those characteristics don't always go together! Definitely a solid and approachable yet delicious meal!

Really enjoyed dinner here. The bean starter was delectable. The eggplant starter was pretty good but not the best. Papardelle with meat sauce was delicious. I recommend this place!

Fresh bread that’s paralleled by their delicious truly Italian al dente pasta. In true Italian fashion, the sauces don’t overbear the freshness of the pasta. Skip the salad and go straight to the pasta! A little pricey.

Roman's features a daily-changing menu that highlights fresh, local ingredients in italian-leaning dishes occasionally underpinned by classical french techniques. One if the most impressive meals I've had in a while just based on the technical execution of a difficult menu with the added challenge of changing it daily! To complement the meal is a variety of Italian aperitivi and a great wine selection. I tried an orange wine for the first time and was in awe. Service is great - they got us in an out for our show at BAM in about an hour - and gratuity is included. Will go back for the $75 chef's tasting menu when we have a bit more time.
