Very lovely location for a date or quick hangout. The spot is small and cozy. The menu is rich and diversified. There are gluten free options and everything is made from scratch. The service is pretty fast and the most taste really great!

One of my absolute favorite places for dinner in the neighborhood. The food just tastes like it was prepared with love. I appreciate the stiff but delicious drinks too. I’ll always love this place and go when I want something that tastes like home.

Great affordable local Italian restaurant! Excellent pasta! I had the today’s special- pappardelle with seafood, and it was great! I didn’t enjoy the piadina very much… I thought it’s similar to quesadilla, but I would rather have the latter, just my preference.

Found this spot in Brooklyn and it is simply sublime. We ordered the tortellini as well as the bolognese and both were so so delicious. They have a lively atmosphere + happy hour (until 7) for their entire drink menu! Delicious house wine. All the pasta is house made and yes you do taste the difference. Will be coming back for sure!

Amazing place! Atmosphere, food, and service are all amazing. The waiter was so friendly and they also have a daily special menu in addition to their standard menu. Most of the dishes can be made gluten free as the staff is knowledgeable about celiac and has gluten free alternatives for the dishes that aren’t naturally gluten free. Wine selection is also really good. Overall prices are really manageable as well and the portions were absolutely massive! Will definitely return here.

Fantastic atmosphere, quality of food, friendliness, service, music, and price. I rarely feel the need to review a restaurant right away but I felt compelled due to how pleased I was with the entire experience. My new favorite neighborhood spot, would definitely recommend and plan to come back. PS - saw some reviews about cash only. I think they’re old reviews but I paid with credit card.

Pasta is made fresh everyday and you can tell. We got the spinach ricotta dumplings and the squid ink pasta with seafood special and it was insanely incredible. Will be coming back!

I had my birthday dinner at Testo this past weekend. I can't possibly say enough good things. My friends were all blown away by how phenomenally they did. Dominik, one of the owners, was amazing from start to finish. He helped me in planning the menu and was incredibly flexible when I had some last-minute cancelations and additions. People are still talking about the butternut squash tortelli. The party was 36 people and the service was absolutely impeccable. No one had an empty glass at any point in the night, more than enough food for everyone, and quick reactions from the waitstaff when we spilled wine not once but three times (and they couldn't have been nicer about it!). I can't recommend this place enough; I've been going for years. Whether you're going for brunch (the best chicken and waffles in Brooklyn), dinner, or having a party of 40 people (or less or more!), you won't regret having it here. THANK YOU TESTO!

LOVE this spot. Been here with small groups and LOVE coming here for solo dining. I’m all over the ravioli and finally got to the lasaña today. The quality, fresh ingredients, kind people, good music. Good vibes. Has been a win every time, including today. Thank you Testo ❤️✨

Pretty good! Pappardelle Bolognese was really good (4.5/5) and had excellent meat flavor with very soft obviously handmade noodles. The spinach dumplings were okay (3/5) but were dense - flavor of the sauce is good however.

I had a wonderful experience at Testo! From the warm and friendly service to the perfectly cooked homemade pasta, every aspect was on point. Octopus appetizer was a flavor bomb! The ragu pappardelle pasta and seafood tagliolini were full of flavor with generous portions of cod and salmon. The desserts, especially the tiramisu, were excellent - not too sweet and is filled with coffee taste. I can't wait to come back for more!

For a place that advertises itself as Northern Italian you would think the atmosphere would be somewhat sophisticated and inviting. It was neither. Our waiter decided it would be fine to come into work looking like he just rolled out of bed. A t shirt & jeans. And unshaven. Slovenly would be a polite description. Then there was the loud rock music. Steve Miller's greatest hits on high volume. When I asked for it to be lowered, he hardly did. This guy thought he was at home and spent more time looking at his phone than the 4 customers in the place. The food was fine, but it was everything else that made the experience terrible. Never going back.

Personally, this spot is a 10/10 for several reasons. The personable owner is from Italy and knows how to provide great service and authentic cuisine. The atmosphere is perfect for me: lowkey, dim but not too dark, nothing crazy or lavish just a homey, great dining experience. The butternut squash was to die for. Definitely going back!

We attended a rehearsal dinner at Testo in October. They made it an amazing evening! The party room was perfect for 40 people. Everyone got to visit. The food was outstanding ! Several courses, the salads were delicious, And so were all of the pasta dishes. They even had a gluten-free pasta option for several in the group. Servers were gracious and attentive. If I didn’t live in Texas, I would be here every week!

We were visiting Brooklyn for the first time in 20 years or so. I researched places to eat near the comedy Improv. After entering I was skeptical if we made the right choice to eat here. It's a quaint place. The end results are AAA. Everything was great. Service, food, portion, pricing. I wish we didn't live 3 hours away. I would love to visit again and try something else on the menu.

Service was great. Food was ok. I ordered a biscuit and chicken. Chicken was tender, biscuit (house made) was good. The combination needed sauce/gravy in my opinion. Was a little dry, but the flavor was there. Thank you!

Amazing spot in Williamsburg! I’m so glad I stopped by. Everything was delicious. I got the fig wrapped dates (a special), sausage + kale pasta, and tiramisu. Will be recommending to all of my friends in the area!

Wonderful experience from the start! Service was warm snd friendly and the food was on point! The pasta was perfectly cooked and the desserts were excellent—not too sweet or heavy! Will definitely be back!

Simple, clean Italian food. Don't expect ridiculous large portions and that's fine by me. You won't have to be rolled out the door like many Italian spots. Pasta is homemade, sauces have great flavor, deserts are great too. Will definitely return!

My husband and I have been coming here for years and we are never disappointed. It’s incredible food at an affordable price. Get the Lambrusco. We love you, Testo!

I had an overall good experience. Small cozy place with reasonable prices and fresh food. I had the special Tagliatelle with Shrimp, Mussels and Crab. The shrimp was slightly over cooked and most of the mussels were very very small, almost non-existent but the flavor was good and the portion of pasta reasonable as well. We had the Calamri friti and the Testo Bread with Prosciutto and mozzarella. Everything tasted pretty good. I don’t know what it was but I wasn’t wowed. It’s a great staple restaurant if you live nearby but I wouldn’t travel to get here again. Try it if you’re in the area but if you’re more than 20 mins away just find something closer or better.

I can't say enough amazing things about Testo. We come here multiple times a month and the food is always amazing. Highly recommend the polipo (octopus), mussels, tortelli, and gnudi (their homemade pasta is better than Lilia in my opinion!). They also have an amazing brunch, one of the best chicken sandwiches in the city. We did their $65 per person special for a surprise birthday dinner for my sister last night, which includes 5 apps, 5 mains, dessert, and unlimited house wine. They put together a cute menu and Max was the best host, amazing service and helped make the night so special. Thank you again and we'll be back soon :)

Always great as usual! My favorites are the butternut squash tortelli, mushroom ravioli in Gorgonzola sauce, the Brussels sprout salad. There are other great stuff on the menu but it’s a hard choice when you have your favorites! Very chill spot and a pleasant atmosphere. I suggest making a stop.

This is the closest place to Italy in New York. A cozy, unique, and welcoming restaurant for family or a romantic date. 100% recommended. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. Tasteful. Refined. Exquisite. I can’t express how delicious this place was to me and my wife. Lovely, and for sure, we are coming back.

This is such a sweet restaurant! The pasta was delicious and the vibes were amazing. The owner seems very sweet and there was a lot of care put into the decor and menu. They rotate their specials frequently.

I loved our dinner date here… the pasta definitely tastes very fresh and the sauces were unique and delicious. Service was great too. I have been looking for a taste of what I’ve had in Northern Italy and this is it!!! SO good.

My daughter moved one block from Testo a year ago and quickly discovered how fabulous it is. It’s our go-to spot because the food is consistently delicious and the owners go out of their way to give you a great experience. Start with the lemon chicken, you won’t be disappointed! Definitely save room for the gelato!

I took my wife here for valentines. We had to fried calamari, beet salad with apples and Gorgonzola, Papardelle verdi con ragu, Cavatelli salsiccia e cime di rapaand , tiramisu. I would get the cavatelli again and tiramisu again but pass on everything else. The dishes looked like home cooked dinner so it was fresh and pretty good value for $. That said, it didn’t feel like fine dining , the plating was sloppy and nothing stood out as oooh I must eat that again. Like no star of the dish. I’ll probably be back again just not for a special occasion and slightly lower expectations. The portions are good and dollar goes far here plus the staff are super nice. It should also be noted you must CALL for a reservation but you’ll get it.

The butternut squash truffle ravioli is no joke. SO incredibly delicious and made fresh! You also MUST try the chocolate mousse. I like that it’s a smaller space, so you can have a nice conversation with friends and actually be present while enjoying a great meal!
