I recently attended this venue with some work colleagues while away for work. The barman was a top bloke. Unfortunately the same can’t be said for who appeared to be the manger. He was followed close by, by a female staff member. He approached us in a rude manner demanding to see identification. We had a minor who we had been told we would be advised on where he can sit. Once the “manager” discovered he was under age he proceeded to tell us we needed to leave the premises. We had several adults who were more than happy to supervise the young man. The workers being one male and one female then proceeded to enter the female toilets together for quite some time. It did not seem appropriate especially after considering the tone he had used to then take advantage of his position and do who knows what with that lacky barwomen he had by his side.

Barman was a legend. Wish I could say the same about the 17 yr old doorman with a stick on moustache and his Karen assistant who followed him around the venue like a pet dog. It’s a shame people like this are in charge of such nice places. The young doorman who followed his female co worker into the female toilets only to leave together again several minutes later is needs to be stood down…. Mainly for his tash. Stay outta yaselves.

A cheerful, active and very popular pub. Great beer garden with giant TV. Games room. Pool tables. Kids fun area. Excellent range of areas to choose from for a drink. Very generous means from a pretty decent bistro. A reliable and enjoyable destination. Did not play AFL, boo.

Didn’t know what to expect coming here for the weekend from western Sydney however this pub proved to be amazing. The staff Tara and Kane took great care of my friends and I as we had a delicious dinner. The staff were sociable and nice and helped us whenever we needed a hand. We all had a great dinner and a great night getting along with the locals and playing pool. Would definitely recommend coming here for the night or day, the outdoor seating area is great!

Great food & fantastic service. Party of 10, everyone had a delicious huge meal, great variety on the menu & plenty of gluten free selections. Highly recommended.

Buffalo wings are not very spicy but I guess the locals might prefer this . Parama was great but the chips were a shade cold .kids burger had a massive bun which seemed odd.The outdoor courtyard is fantastic and the beer is reasonably priced.overall good local pub

Awesome service ! Great local pub. Had dinner here and Dayan was very accommodating - food was good and well priced. Barb is an exceptional hostess very welcoming and great service and she made the gaming room a really fun place to be. :)

Travelled down from north if the coast to catch the boxing in the sports bar. Came across Barb in the Gaming Lounge.. what a legend, happy, friendly and makes a great coffee!

Absolutely loved our lunch, bistro front of house staff are all super friendly, we went for a late Saturday lunch and found the place to be almost empty which was a welcome surprise! Please keep doing what you’re doing it’s a great venue! We’ll be back ASAP!

Great stay at Ocean Beach Hotel Umina. Gaming staff member Barb went above and beyond to ensure our time spent was amazing! Barb was so friendly and the best asset to the club. Thank you Barb for your outstanding hospitality.

Nothing better than a beautiful chicken parm after a hard days work. Big ups to Ross for making such an excellent meal for me and my dad. The atmosphere of the venue was warm and cozy. Superb experience; definitely coming again.

Decided to give Ocean Beach Hotel a go because my son wanted a burger and a nearby burger place had failed us previously. He loved the kids cheese burger so much the first one vanished very quickly and we ordered him a second! For a very fussy eating child this was amazing! The adult food was awesome also and we loved the convenience of ordering via the qr code at the table. We will definitely be back many times in the future

I have literally never written a review for anything in my entire life, but I feel compelled to share my experience at Ocean Beach bistro last week. I popped in for a quick lunch and the bistro was much busier than normal on a weekday. The bartender (i believe her name was Casey - which I even wrote down in my diary so i wouldnt forget!!) seemed to be the only one running the bistro bar /front counter plus kitchen hand. I must say, she ran it like a champion. Nothing was a drama and she served every customer like they were the most important person in the joint. She was the most professional and friendly young lady I have come across and truly is an asset to that place! I run my own small business and to take time to do this a week later says it all! Casey - if you ever are looking for another job I would take you on in a heartbeat. Well done, keep being you. The food was amazing as always, and i must note that the new menu and chef suggestions of late are also impressive. Casey also mentioned you have a new head chef who also must be praised. i’m a minor on an away work trip from over 2 hours south, technically the oldest person and the owner of the company are my ‘guardians’ they have signed me in everywhere with no problem at all. At this place the karen and her partner in crime bloke (orange hair and moustache) were decently rude to us, also saying i have to have at least one parent with me, we weren’t allowed to stay because of me so the boys had to finish their beers and we got asked to leave. After that the karen and bloke both went into the female toilets for a solid 10 minutes, little bit suspicious hey, the only good thing was that the bloke at the bar was the nicest guy ever and actually respected us, we will never come back and don’t recommend this place, just plain rude.

Had our work Xmas party there. Was a great night. The staff are very helpful and friendly, food was delicious. Highly recommend.

I have frequented this restaurant many times over the past 10+ years and I can say with full confidence I will never go back. The menu is limited and extremely expensive (especially considering the quality of the meals offered). In addition half of the menu items are not available when you arrive, despite no warning on the menu. Wood fired pizzas are not offered during the week (again, not advised on menu) and staff are quite abrupt and rude. Additionally I’d like to note - you won’t find many bad reviews as the restaurant privately messages any bad reviewers and offers to pay them to take it down - corruption at its finest. This in itself is enough to turn me off this restaurant (and many firmed and family in the area) and it really shows the companies terrible morals. There are plenty of restaurants around that are far cheaper and provide a much better meal. I would urge all to save your money, frustrations and time and pick another restaurant 😊

Had an amazing dinner here , steak and fish cooked to perfection. The bistro is extremely clean and the staff are exceptional, happy to help and so polite . Definitely worth a visit, and definitely going back . Loved it !

Karan is the best assistant manager ever ! Honestly never felt so much hospitality at a pub on the central coast. 10/10 experience from the staff and assistant manager especially. Also Tara and Kane best supervisors ever !

We had lovely dinner with you guys all food was great but the Bruscetta wasn't great,we liked how you guys used to make it, just tomato, onion & balsamic not sure if you ever had the basil & parm cheese but didn't give me normal Bruscetta vibe unfortunately

Wonderful place to pull up after a hard drive . Kuran was amazingly helpful and generous. The staff were all lovely and we even got a cheeseburger and ice cream for my little one . Highly recommended 👌

Popped in at lunchtime as I have done a few times recently for the Rump Steak special and it is always brilliant but today was absolutely exceptional. A thicker cut and was done perfectly medium as I like it. The chips, salad and pepper sauce are always great as well. 5 stars for Ross and his crew. Can thoroughly recommend the OB 😃

I had ordered a rump steak medium rare After ordering I thought I’d like some chilly. I asked one of the staff walking past. She went to the kitchen and back on 3 occasions just to accomodate me. Was so touched and impressed! Thank you🙏

Food very ordinary. Steak was full of fat and gristle. Pasta $28 no flavour hardly touched and no one asked if there was a problem. Wings were basically boiled with some bottle sauce. Very disappointing and they were not busy at all.

I'm here at least times a week with my disability group. My clients always ask to come to this venue because the food is great and staff and management go out of their way in making my clients feel comfortable. Thankyou Tara and the rest of OB staff for for your great service.

Chloe from the bar are very outstanding person , very friendly with customers extremely warm, friendly personality fantastic sense of humour, very warm, outstanding personality. Nothing seems to be a problem. This is not necessarily coming from myself. It’s coming from my friends and I have been coming to the Ocean Beach hotel for many years a very capable member of your staff without standing character definitely an asset to your hotel,.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Steak was nothing like a porterhouse steak, couldn't put my knife through it, very thin and was supposed to be medium, with blood running out of it. Returned and re cooked. Salad was dirty and sauce was extra, Chips were good, but how hard is it to cook chips ? $40.50 plus $8.00 orange juice. Restaurant prices. I went with a qualified chef who knows her food.

Booked 4 x Queen studio rooms for 1 night and had pleasant and friendly service from the start. Arrived to be greeted by Dean and his smiley staff , had a great lunch in the bistro.Rooms are fresh roomy and clean with everything you need. Hotel even provided their Courtesy bus to take us to our function . Would not hesitate to stay at or recommend this Hoel in the future. Thanks to all.

This is our local and we love it. The food is amazing great meals and a great serve you get good value for money. The staff Caitlin was fantastic she was very helpful. Recommend this Pub to anyone looking for a great meal.

Had a night at the ocean beach hotel Friday 29/7. Had a meal with the family and spent some time in the gaming room. The atmosphere in the gaming room was great. With the staff member, Barb Purcell, doing raffles, offering snacks and making it a fun, memorable night. Thanx Barb for a great night. We will definitely be back.

Bistro clean, friendly staff, in a friendly relaxed atmosphere. We had mains they are huge pub lunches and really could have shared one of my schnitzel meals with another person. They were kind enough to give us doggie bags. Was a nice hassle free style lunch outing.👍

I went to this pub with my partner for themed trivia night. The questions were thorough and the host was charismatic. While the venue was a bit dated compared to others in the area, it was very clean and all staff were friendly. I ordered the cheesy garlic for an entire which was great value. I had the beef burger with fires for dinner which was also good value considering the price of vegetables at the moment. The burger had good sauce, the bread was fresh and the seasoning on the fries was some of the best I've had.

Great food! The steak was cooked perfectly. Really lovely service. Set up nicely for families with the kids play area and good range of food for a fussy toddler! Thanks again to chef Ross for those steaks, we will be back
