All the three shared plates we ordered were amazing, flavour, fresh and just the right amount. We love it all and could have ordered another couple more fish tacos. I have been coming to Margarita Daze for over 6 years now and I always go back and take my friends or family that come up from Sydney. As always the view never disappoints either. Can't wait to return

Great location, overlooking Umina Beach, but NOT PET FRIENDLY, staff very courteous and apologetic as they allowed us in with our very small dog in her carry bag. She is such a small dog, she weighs less than 2kg and they didn't even notice her until we were sitting with her on our laps in the outdoor beer garden overlooking the beach. I do not understand what the issue was, I know you should not have animals in a food preparation area but this was outside on the deck. No signage saying Pets Not Allowed, WT....? We will not be back!

Really disappointed by our experience. We asked the waitress if we could get a table for 10, we were asked if we had a booking and we said no. They said all the tables were booked and that they couldn’t seat us. We asked another staff member a few minutes later and he said no and said all the tables were booked for 7pm. We said we were only grabbing a quick meal as we had small kids with us and they then said we could have a table. The waitress who had originally told us there were no tables was rolling her eyes when we sat down. We arrived at 6.30 and stayed until after 7.30 and no one else came in and sat at the tables which they had told us were all booked. They close at 8pm so there was no way the other tables were booked. The venue is actually lovely and they food was great but the fact that they lied and said the tables were all booked really ruined the experience for us. If there is a staffing issue or something they could have said that.

A great place to relax with a Margarita and enjoy the view. The food is varied and delicious, particularly the pot of muscles. The staff are very friendly and the service is efficient. Definitely recommended.

This Waygu Beef Burger with chips ($24) presented very nicely. Sadly, the patty was just warm, both outside and centre. 😑 The bun became soggy by the tomato very quickly, and then the piece of paper lining the plate became soggy and stuck with the bun. 🤦 I guessed that paper was not edible. Why used that paper???? The chips has a little more spices (looked/tasted like some rosemary and chilli powder) than I would like/expected. Made and paid my orders at the bar bench. Food was brought to the table. Their bank earned 1.18% of my payment for doing minimum (if not nothing). I certainly missed the credit card surcharge sign somewhere. I can't believe the bartender could not aim at the centre of a glass with his soft drink gun. I thought he was washing the side and rim of the glass. So, my drink was wet and sticky to touch. No appealing at all. No desire to return, for too many reasons.

We booked a late 2pm sitting and didn't feel rushed, had a cheese platter and sweet potato fries. It was beautiful and huge for 2 people. The staff were so accommodating and kind. The atmosphere was quite out on the deck watching the waves roll in. The cocktails were stunning even the mock tails. 😍😍😍

Love the place! Fantastic service, friendly and extremely helpful. Food was delicious, full of so many wonderful flavours. And of course the view, even on a rainy overcast day, is spectacular.

The vibe was great and food was even better! Best to make a booking as unfortunately I seen people get turned away on the night as they were already complete booked out. My booking was originally outside but as it was going to rain they saved me a table inside and out just in case. I look forward to coming back.

Organised a work team lunch here on a Tuesday lunchtime and with pre-ordering the food/drink the day beforehand, everything ran very smoothly and was a fantastic spot for lunch. Food was amazing and the views are unbeatable. Also bonus that a US Netflix show seen recently had a scene here. Thanks for the great service!

I’m gonna say, I have not come to this place before purely based on its name. The name just feels corny and cliche. Am I really that petty? So I finally decided to enjoy a relaxing Sunday afternoon drink with hubby and I was actually very impressed. I loved the decor, it feels very nautical and perfect for an ocean view restaurant. It has a lovely relaxed vibe and sitting out of the deck with direct beach views was just devine. There was a guitarist was playing inside but wasn’t too loud, so you could still hold a conversation. Perfect! We didn’t eat this time, but the food we saw coming out looked amazing beautifully presented. We will definitely be back!

We stumbled on this amazing restaurant after a day of hiking. The sunset from the deck was beautiful and the food was fabulous. We ordered fish and chips and the steak. Both were yummy and the steak was cooked to perfection. Will visit again when we are in the area.

Incredible views, what a stunning place to watch the sunset and have a drink. We had a large group for dinner with kids and babies and it was an easy, relaxed place to have a meal. Generous servings of food too!

Booked on for a busy Saturday before Christmas. We were pleasantly surprised that we received our drinks and food quickly. Lovely staff. Great outlook and everyone enjoyed their meals. Great work guys. We will be back soon.

Delicious food! Such a fun and cool vibe with a great view! Kid friendly restaurant with fast service and staff who were helpful and accommodating.

Booked for 730pm! Ordered our drinks at 750pm and told kitchen closes at 8pm! Then told order last drinks whilst still drinking our first drink as bar closes at 830pm! All food at once drinks - very Covid experience! So rushed and didn’t even enjoy our meal or drink! Then told at 845 close in 15! Then all the chairs are on tables around us! Wow! Who does that!Never had such a stressful dinner! Even McDonald’s is less rushed

We had a group booking on a weekday night. Our night out was just perfect. The food was very nice and we found portions quite generous. Due to multiple accidents around the Coast that day the majority of our group arrived late. The staff was very accommodative and even extended their opening hours to allow us to order desserts and enjoy the night for a bit longer. The restaurant also offers a wonderful ocean views which makes everything extra special. I'll definitely go back there again.

Just one of the best places to dine made a mistake on our wine but immediately refunded money back and gave us the correct wine. All of the staff are friendly and helpful. Great location and good food. We will be back.

We were very lucky today because we didnt book a table but we had the best one with amazing view. We Ordered pizza, desert, beer and cocktails. When we pointed it that our pizza didn't had bacon, just a comment, like in the menu was written, the manager immediately refunded us the desert without hesitation. Very friendly staff, good drinks. Definitely a good place to come back.

I went in after a day of walking & hiking, and sat on the lounges to have a bite — it is a beautiful restaurants with a relaxing atmosphere. The staff was friendly, and the food was impressively fast. The taco I had was DELICIOUS. It has a great waterfront location - I’m sure it’s gorgeous during the day! It may not be the “budget friendly” option, however, with the quality of the food & the location, it’s understandable! Traveler Notes: does not have public wifi

Once again..on our fourth annual visit - you did not disappoint! However, while we are having a fireside chat - let’s be transparent…we are all amongst friends here. The Mussels were 4 star not 5 star - size does matter (apparently)..maybe a little small and didn’t meet expectations. That said the pasta linguine was delicious! The kids loved their burgers, pizza and ice cream. We had delicious cocktails and we very much look forward to returning again this time next year. Oh! The aircon is a pain in the arse…blows too cold. Love you all…staff were awesome.

Had a great time celebrating my friends birthday here! Dinner was delicious although the portion sizes were pretty average. Nice view overlooking the beach and had a relaxed atmosphere.

This was only our first time here thus, the 4 stars. We need more visits to really explore the menu. We sat on the patio which had a fantastic view of the beach. Staff were incredibly friendly. Prices seemed a touch high but I understand that for the location. Our calamari was incredible and some of the best chips we've had. Once again however, like many other establishments, our patio table was not the cleanest. Despite that, we'll definitely give it another go!

We had a good time. The view is brilliant in what looks like any table in this restaurant. Outside looks good too, but we ate inside. The lime margarita is great and the food was good too. The service was a bit hit and miss, especially when there was hardly anyone in the restaurant, but as a group of 5 of us, we had a great time! The staff were also great in taking our photo, and even suggested outside for a good backdrop, so thank you! Parking is also super easy.

Best coffee in town!! Walk a little extra from the ocean beach cafe and you have better customer service and best barista coffee. The experience here was so much better than what you get down the road. The girls working there are nice as well :)
