Quick walk from West Head Lookout, though lots of stairs! Small but beautiful beach with big rocks. Unsure if itโ€™s always like this but today it seemed a lot wavier than the next beach down the trail (Resolute).

A very exclusive beach. You have to take around 200 stair steps down to reach it. Just park your car next to West Head Lookout and start your way. The beach is rocky but definitely there is sand to relax on with your kids. The view is amazing on Barrenjoey lighthouse. Please consider that no drinking water or toilets on the beach. Also, going back to your car might take longer than going down. Have fun.

Excellent location for a day trip from Sydney. Enjoyed the drive through the national park. Lot of parking area as there are no parking restrictions and you can park near any walking trail as needed. Location is family friendly except that the walk to the beach from the lookout point might be a little hectic. But it is definitely worth a visit.

20 minutes of bushwalking from west head lookout will lead you to this beauty.

Nice beach with some good, deep water to swim in. Some steps to conquer. Not for the faint hearted

A short trail to get to this secluded beach. 500m of natural foot path and it takes 40mins. The West Head Beach is quite small but private.

A very beautiful little beach. Nice for splashing about after a hike down. Takes about 40 mins from West Head lookout round trip down and back up. There is no facility and you will need to byo for lunch, snack and drinks.

Such a nice place for walking

Beautiful little beach for swimming and lazing around, with a somewhat sheltered little strip of sand. There's a few rocky areas around to spread out on and attempt to garner some shade, but much better off to bring a sunbrella so you can make the hike down and back worth it. The steps down are reasonably well laid out but can be a bit narrow and steep. There's no rubbish bins or any amenities at the beach or on the way so be prepared.

This is such a great beach and trail. Though do tank plenty of water and snacks.

Lovely little beach tucked away in the Eastern side of the Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park. Prepare for around 15-20mins hike as thereโ€™s plenty of steps heading towards the beach from the West Head Lookout This place is a secluded narrow beach with few rock formations just right in front of the beach. As thereโ€™s not enough space and shade at this spot, so prepare to bring your sunshade or umbrella for a nice relaxing time at the beach. It also seemed to have bigger and stronger waves here than nearby Resolute Beach, not sure if itโ€™s always like this. This might be suitable for some private time for couples to relax but not really for family with kids.

This is a must visit lovely location! And itโ€™s also not too far from Epping. The lookout point, walking trail and soothing waters at the end of your walkโ€ฆ.is a refreshing experience! Although the walk gets a bit steep closer to the beach. There are huge rocks at the base on which you can rest and experience the tranquillising combination of cool breeze and sound of the lashing waves! It could be a reasonably quiet spot for couples too! Take sufficient water and snacks if you plan to walk the trail. Hope you enjoy your experience here!

Beautiful beach with some good view of the north Palm beach. The trek to the beach from the Lookout has a bit steep walk. Also has some nice spots on the way to take good pictures. Just be mindful that there are no toilets or change rooms on the beach. A good day for chilling or even if you are just checking out the beach.

Bushwalk to and from the beach is a bit challenging but the view is worth it!

Not a bad little beach at all! Very good vibe with a good walk down the hill to get there.

500m walk from parking but half way down to the beach is very steep. Please prepare you knee well before you decide to go down the beach. Nice beach and clean with the view of Barenjoy light house.

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Whats not to love about Shelly Beach. It's been my morning swimming spot for the last 17 years. Has some of the most amazing fish for snorkeling and diving in Sydney and on quite a few occasions you will see dolphins and turtles. In the last few years the whales come into play around Fairy Bower and...
