Bluntly, I did not enjoy my time at the Masonic Temple. I have one other scheduled event coming up there but I will not willingly choose to visit this venue in the future again if at all possible. The staff were all great and I have zero complaints about any interaction we had with the staff at the event. This review is not a reflection on them in any way. The root of my dislike and why I would never choose this venue in the future is the seating. For some background, I am 6'2" tall. I wear a 34" inseam pant. Several historic venues in the Cleveland area (some of the playhouse theaters for example) can be a little uncomfortable from a leg room standpoint between me and the seat in front but generally I can manage with some doing. This was not the case at the Masonic Temple. I attended the show with two friends who are slightly taller than myself. What this meant is that the three of us had our shins or knees jammed into the seat back of the seats in front of us in a way that didn't disturb the folks in those seats but managed to leave physical indents on all of us(see one of my posted pictures for the situation)I have NEVER been more uncomfortable sitting in a venue in all the live shows and concerts I have ever attended. If we had choose the floor seats or floor tables, we may have been okay but for both this show and the next show, this was not something I knew I had to do. The other issue stems from the fact our show almost got cancelled due to some type of electrical problem with the venue. Almost at the beginning of the comedians set, hai microphone popped and lost power. He walked off and he came back out 15 minutes later to announce they were cancelling both shows. Only for them to get a mic working and he finished the show. The subsequently cancelled the following show. The venue is very old and Templelive has clearly spent virtuallyzero dollars on any type of facility upgrades whatsoever. The bathrooms were run down, seats were in bad shape, the stairs to get to seats are narrow and covered in a carpet that I am sure has caused some folks to fall trying to navigate. For me, I won't go back to this venue again beyond the tickets I already paid for and won't be able to probably resell/refund. For someone shorter then myself or with shorted legs, it would probably be a decent venue as sightlines are good based on how the seats are arranged.

LarderRoom...Road trip to Cleveland Ohio with the family to see the Violent Femmes at TempleLive at Cleveland Masonic with the family! First, easy drive from New Vienna, Ohio, just a few hours. The TempleLive is gorgeous. It is easy to find and centrally located in the heart of Cleveland. There were plenty of restrooms, concession stands, and tables for merchandise. Everything was a bit overpriced, but that's normal these days. The sound was great, the crowd was excited, and it was an overall great show.

For anyone who has heard that it's the inside that counts The Cleveland Masonic Temple Theater is just that. On the outside it looks like an old derelict building, but on the inside it is like a giant cathedral. There is plenty of room to move around and several food/beverage venders were available on both levels. Midnight, Twin Temple, Behemoth, and Danzig were all well represented with merchandise for sale. We had balcony seats for the show and there was really no vantage point that didn't provide a great view of the stage. The bands all sounded great. Everyone complimented each other with their different music styles. It was a great time and I recommend this venue.

I saw The Violent Femmes here recently and I loved this venue. Free parking, nice atmosphere and very cozy. Not a bad seat in the house. Amazing accoustics!

Perfect place if u really want to see yr favorite band. It's small place compared to a large event. But I saw Danzig tonight, and it was like I was right there. We were close, but even if u had the worst seats u ate still going to b fairly up close. 4 starts bcz of the seats .I was in the mezzanine section and the seats were small, and there's no room for your legs.

This venue is the best! Our group was treated to a tour before the show. The building is incredibly historic and a gold mine for curiosity seekers. I highly recommend attending any show at this wonderful theater

It's an OK venue. Not that pleasurable of an experience. I checked the website ahead of time and saw that the venue has limited parking. We arrived about 10 minutes prior to the doors opening and all the spaces were taken. We ended up parking in the Children's Museum parking lot, that was about a 5 minute walk to the venue. Upon arrival we were checked for age and had bracelets put on very tight. We made it through security check point within a few minutes and then purchased two drinks. Before finding our seats, we used the restrooms. The women's room had used tampons and applicators shoved in a vent above the toilet, GROSS! The show was good but the sound had constant feedback. After the show we were walking through the venue and saw an opportunity to step aside from the flow of people to put on our jackets before stepping out for our walk back to our vehicle. We we instantly YELLED at for stopping in front of a door. We were obviously just putting on our coats. This left me with a bad opinion of the venue and will not purchase tickets for any other events offered. I'll travel to Detroit before going to this place again. In short. Terrible parking, disgusting restrooms and terrible hospitality.

First time seeing a show at this venue. Been to alot of the venues in Cleveland and this is probably my new favorite. I'm handicap and the staff/security is by far some of the best! They have a stair lift to get you up the steps to the floor and the gentleman who ran the lift also gave us a nice history of the place prior to it being a concert venue now. I ended sitting at the tables by the stage which had 4 steps to access. I had friends with me to assist but the staff was more than willing to assist if needed. The staff also let me move closer to the stage for better viewing at a table that was not being used. Can't wait to attend more concerts here in the future!

The venue was nice. Great sound quality. I liked the way it was setup. The acoustics were on par. They have plenty of floor space. The Balcony didn't have a bad seat. Drink prices a litte high. Bathrooms were clean. Enjoyed the show.

Parking is $20 in their lot. Depending on the time of day/day of the week it can be pretty easy to find street parking for free around the venue. Turns out there are more than one auditorium in this building. I looked at the photos before going to a show and found myself in a room much smaller than I saw online. The auditorium was perfect for the size of the concert but it has VERY little seating. With the smaller size the merch table(s) had to be inside the auditorium which hampers doing your shopping during a bands set. Not a big deal, just something different if you are use to dipping out during a band you aren't as interested in to buy a shirt. The venue also had the lights down really really low before the show. To the point that the merch table sellers had to use their cell phones to light up stuff. That was frustrating for everyone involved.

I love that they're not letting an older building go to waste. Obviously being older is the reason the seats are narrow and there are a ton of stairs. As a venue, my only real complaint would be a better set up for purchasing merch(different location within the building maybe?). Thanks for having snacks and drinks available!

We saw a few shows in the asylum. The room is really nice beside the ceiling damage in one area of the room. There was stuff falling at a show last month yet they only have the area roped off and still not fixed a month later. The worst part is the room is on the 3rd floor and the only bathrooms available are in the lobby on the first floor. Ada access is very limited. The beer prices are comparable to house of blues of jacobs pavilion , absolutely outrageous prices.$9 for a 16oz PBR. And finally, the show we saw last week cost $15 a ticket, yet it was $20 to park in the dark shady lot behind the venue. For that price I would expect a safe monitored lot. When we left, the attendent was nowhere to be found. 20 bucks to park in a dark unsecured lot it theft.

Nice venue. Beautiful place. Don't know if it was just the show we saw, but the bass sounded blown for maybe 40% of the show. It sounded like we were listening to the cranked radio of an '82 Oldsmobile from the outside, and it totally drowned out all the other instruments. This could've been a band issue and not a venue issue though. Beer was $12 for a 24oz can of either Zombie Dust or Stone IPA (didn't even bother checking pricing on macros, but there was a good selection, including the odd surprise of Murphy's Irish Stout.) Getting in and out was easy. Two of the upstairs toilets were out of commission, so lines were a bit long, but never ridiculous. I'd definitely go back.

If you are tall pick an end row. My knees were killing me after the comedy show. Great view from all over

The greatest band on earth, a creaky old building. Part of the ceiling had begun to collapse and was cordoned off. It was a strange environment, but I'd go through anything to see The Electric Six. Even Cleveland.
