Weird service... For several months (4-5 months) postmen (in particular this person on a picture) stopped ringing the doorbell of the apartment during the delivery of packages. Instead, they immediately put a missed delivery sticker on my bedroom window and run off to the next house. During the same 4-5 months, postal workers stopped sorting letters into mailboxes. Instead, the workers just throw the stack of letters on the floor and leave. And the residents of the house have to sort letters. What is the point of hiring postmen? Why and for what do they get paid? Thank you for attention!

After waiting in line for 20 mins, the employee standing at the window pointed to a line in front of a window with a sign saying "pick up at other line," and told me, "this is the pickup line." When I pointed out that it was marked as not a pickup line, he responded, "What did I just tell you? That's the pickup line. What do you think those people are doing?"

Workers need to be retrained at this location on customer service there is this one specific agent with locks hair she is biting like a anger dog at everyone who turns up 5 minutes late with no remorse or respect speak down to grown women and men telling them about their personal life that she don’t know anything about. She needs to stay in the back of the building she can’t be having a bad day last week and having bad day today also. She need a time out or time off. Please don’t do business here if you don’t have to.

Let me start by saying you can feel the negative vibes immediately upon entering this place. Two women work there daily; An older woman (dark or black hair with glasses) and African American woman (AA). Both appear to hate their jobs. I have been going here for years at least once a week. On numerous occasions, I've witnessed the older woman, who sits the farthest away from the door, yell at customers. She often fails to give receipts, necessary during a mail crisis. The AA woman completely ignores customers and me. The AA woman does not know mailing policies or the current price of stamps. If you hate your job so much, seek other job opportunities! Extremely negative energy from both of them. I understand why people think this is the worst place to do your business. Please hire people that want to work with customers! It is incredibly disappointing because the closest location on Fulton St. is always vacant of employees to assist you at the window or anywhere. :(

Stole my package. Failed to deliver the replacement package even though I was home, didn’t even ring my bell. Said left a notice downstairs when that didn’t happen at all. Came to the post office to pick up the replacement package and it’s nowhere to be found. Two packages lost with this post office. I think everyone should avoid this place.

I'll keep it short and sweet. They'll steal your packages. I dropped off my old phone in a discreet package over 2 weeks ago in the drop off box because the line was too long. Tracking info never updated no doubt someone guessed what was in there and palmed the package. The whole place just looks shady. Don't go.

If only I could give it less than 1 star. Staff of only 1. Enormous lines. No organization. Next visit: May 2021 Clerk 42 and the clerk next to her are trash. Uncommunicative. Liars. Highly excitable dispositions. Not fit to for customer service roles and not fit to serve for the US postal service.

I used to live in this neighborhood and I remember the long lines and poor customer service, however I had a recent experience that was so positive it is worth noting. My wife and I were expecting an important letter that got mailed to the wrong address (it was the sender’s fault). We went to this branch and met with a sympathetic cashier who immediately flagged her manager to help us. The manager was kind and took our issue seriously. He helped us figure out where the letter was sent and helped us recover it. Will always be thankful for the help we received!

Had a excellent experience with Maurice. I’ve had bad experiences in the past with the staff here but recently a supervisor changed my mind about this location. My girlfriend’s package never delivered to our address and I went to USPS to figure out why. Maurice was super helpful and diligent in trying to fix the problem. He gave me his time and energy despite being super busy. We never found the package but I got to file a claim and get our money back. This was by far the most pleasant and helpful experience at a USPS office. If you need help as for him! 2 month update: every time I come in he greets me with a smile, remembers me, and offers the best service I’ve ever received from a government employee. Salute to you!

My mail keeps coming back to me and when I bring it in they shrug and say "We don't know why". After a few weeks they told me their mail sorting machine is reading the return address as the destination even though it's very clear when you look at it which is which, and there's no way to send out my hundreds of mailers I prepared and put full-price stamps on by hand.. Have been mailing promotional materials in California for years with no issue. The postal workers there are saints compared to here. I get these aren't evil people, they're just underpaid and under-trained and overworked until they're insufferably cranky. I wish there was some way I could help this not be the worst place on the entire earth.

This is the absolute WORST POST OFFICE IN BROOKLYN. They lost my package and continued to lie to me about it for over two weeks. I was not that upset about the package being lost BUT I WAS UPSET THAT THEY LIED TO ME SO MANY TIMES TO COVER THEMSELVES. It's odd. I went to the location three times to pick up my package but it was never there when I went "Oh they must have taken it on the truck by mistakes" or "Oh they must have sent it back to sender early" Weird How they tracking says it was sent TWO DAYS LATER. Do not trust the managers man or woman at the location. I understand they are trying their best, but they both LIE through their teeth. I heard the entire team SCREAMING at each other in the back behind the P.O. Boxes. Seems like a terrible, terrible, terrible place to work. The tellers are all very nice and welcoming though. But I wish they wouldn't lie to me and just let me know what I needed to do to file a claim. Now I am out $155 which to me is a TON. So. I will never ever ever go back to this decaying structure again. because of the manipulative gas-lighters that are the managing staff.

Waited at home all day for an expected delivery and no one came. When I looked at the status of the package (on USPS website) it was mentioned that an attempt was made and a notice was left, but they didn't do either. This is something that has been done on numerous occasions.

My third time there and each time I get closer to the ninth circle of Hell. Today I saw a worker yell at a man with one arm for writing his name and address too slow. I wish I was joking.

Miss King was a godsend! I needed to add information on a package that the sender forgot to add our building number. Miss King was beyond helpful, managed to find the package and address it properly before it returned to the Netherlands. So so grateful for her and the delivery man who made sure I got it in person.

Let me start by saying most of the staff are great. There is one older lady here who obviously hates her job. I have been going here for a year at least twice a week. I haven’t had problem with the staff here and most people are lovely! but twice the short hair lady yells at other customers and me. If you hate your job so much just quit. Stop complaining about every little things. Extremely negative energy from her. I can understand why people think this is the worst place to do your business.

The clerk had a pleasure telling us that our dully prepared passport application was invalid (we printed on double sided paper, it says no where that it must be on 1 side paper... Not in a single place they warn you to print it out on 2 papers) Than, the clerk happily grabbed her lunch and left, she was looking for a way how to get rid of our 2 "long" baby passport appointments. Obviously, she didn't have any other application left in office... Her lunch was waiting...

Had a 9am passport appointment for my toddler. After waiting on line, was rudely told to sit down and wait. We weren't told what to wait for or who would get us. So we're just sitting here, forgotten, in Post Office pergatory.

If you see the two hoodrats working in there ,especially the one with the braids. Just go somewhere else. They act like you’re bothering them for coming here to do your business.

A very disorderly organization, unprofessional and disrespectful staff. The females are very lazy and speak to you in a manner that no human should tolerate. They would assist other customers who came in after you while you're standing on line. Please train your staff!!!!!!!

Whatever you do, DON’T SCHEDULE YOUR PASSPORT APPOINTMENTS HERE. To start off, the process was just a pain in the head. The staff here are straight up disrespectful. As soon as I got there I needed answers to some questions and one of the ladies just started giving weird looks. As my mom feels out the paper work the lady that was supposed to take us for our appointment started getting desperate and started being rude to my parents and my sister. I don’t know her name. All i know is that the receipt she gave me said “Clerk: 13”… She needs to be fired immediately. Her responses were so rude and disrespectful every time. It was 5 of us filling out our papers and she would just get irritated with all of us there. Whenever I asked her a question she would dismiss me but minutes later another lady came in and skipped the line to ask a question and the clerk answered her question without any problem. In general the staff here were so disrespectful and rude. USPS need to hire better people.

After 3 years of occasionally (very reluctantly) visiting, every single time, I feel insulted and work down by the staff here. How on earth is this location still open?! Is the corporate office as useless as they say in the media? I have no sympathy for the people who work here. Don’t like your job? Then leave!

Went here this morning to get a package that had the wrong address, got it in less than five minutes. The post office lobby was open at 8:55 am and staff were already helping folks. No complaints, just was nice and smiled. I think the person who helped me is Mr. Maurice, who many others have said helped them and went above and beyond. To the folks complaining about redelivering of packages, stop. It won't ever eva eva happen, at this post office or many others. Folks working there are strained and short staffed. Have some compassion and love, it's the Brooklyn way.

Try as you might to be extra friendly to the people working here, especially around the holidays, I always have the worst experiences and it appears that I’m not alone. Being condescending and generally disrespectful to customers is unacceptable and frankly an embarrassment to the USPS. What an absolute disappointment.

They don’t attempt delivery, and say that they do. They don’t leave a notice or even try. It’s happened several times when I’m home, and to so many people in our neighborhood (as you can see from the reviews…). I scheduled a redelivery and nobody came. 1.5 average review on google? That says something. When will they care and do anything about it?

Impossible to get ahold of by phone and seemingly incapable of delivering packages. God forbid you request re-delivery. The line will just ring busy or the person will act like they can’t hear you and hang up. I know the people who work there are doing their best in a bad system but WOW am I amazed by just how bad of a system it really is.

I made a complaint about mail not being picked up from the mailbox on the corner of Putnam and Marcy since September 13, 2023. I called my local post office today and received a call back within 2 hours. I spoke to a young man named Maurice who was professional and courteous. He rectified the situation and the mail should be picked up promptly. After living in this neighborhood for 30+ years, it is finally a good feeling to have something positive to write about our local post office. Thank you so much Maurice.

If you call needing help, the line will ring busy for a minute or two then drop off. They regularly delivery mail to my mailbox for people in other buildings. When I complained about this I received an email saying they have a new postmaster. Okay? Well they're not very good at delivering mail, clearly. They also fail to deliver packages which means I have to pick them up in person and wait on a long line and carry heavy things home. Geez, too bad there isn't a free federal service that just delivers the things I order to my home! Wait a second...
