The staff always appears to be "sizing me up". I get it. I'm quite a bit older than the average PF member - but just watch me. I will out perform you. I'm in better shape than you. I look better than you. There are simply not enough weights in the building for me to get a good workout. Thankfully, the place is full of people just sitting around. When there's not enough weights available, I take some of the spare patrons and have them sit on the ends of the barbell.

Nice clean gym but always jam packed with people

I’m very disappointed .. this place used to be number one with the staff and the manager, unfortunately not anymore .. even when I had a problem with my payments she was trying to convince me that my payment didn’t go through although I came in and showed her that it’s been charged on my card .. been charged almost 170$ since September till this month .42 $ then 50$ then 67$ then twice 15 $ GOD 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ .I used to pay 20$ a month 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ anyways I just cancelled my membership.. she could’ve worked something with me or at least be polite and convince me of her point of view instead of being Loud and have attitude .. if you guys don’t like your job that’s not my problem at least show some respect 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ very disappointed ☹️

I have been a member for 5 yrs and a recent transplant to the city Lakewood. The gym in Rocky River is the closest to where I now live and can say that the employees there are high on point! The Manager is very kind and helpful making my transition from city to city, she helped me with my phone app update and had beautiful finger nail polish 💅! The gym is quite smaller then the Planet Fitness in Sandusky, the area I hail from. Very clean I must add.

Good place and great facility to work out. First time here. I usually do at another place. However, it was a good experience. It seems crowded after work hours.

I don’t understand anyone giving this place less than 5 Stars… companies are struggling coming out of the pandemic with getting and keeping good people, but EVERYONE on their staff are Fantastically friendly and welcoming. Whether your 20 something or over 50, they treat you with respect. They are constantly cleaning, maintaining equipment, sure you might have to wait a couple minutes for your favorite machine, then go to another one or try the free weights while you wait… and if you don’t like waiting a couple minutes (which rarely happens but read it in comments) then go buy and maintain your own equipment at your win house. I’ve been to 4 different PF’s, this one in RR is hands down the best!

It's a good price and they have the equipment you need. It does bum me out to see the news playing on the TV but maybe other people like it. Ultimately I prefer going out in the fresh air but as far as a gym goes, this is good.

Staff is friendly, place is relatively clean, equipment works and the locker room and tanning facilities are decent. Do I think this place is actually a 5 star establishment? Not really. But when you compare the pricing with other gyms or the ymca, it’s a good value. And for a guy who focuses primarily on cardio and weight machines, they have all the options I need to get a decent workout in. Edit: Shaved a star off for closing at 1pm on Sunday New Year’s Eve this year. The three other Planet Fitness’s I called are all open until 5-7pm tonight.

The club is first class. General manager is knowledgeable and cordial. Equipment is just what I need.

The staff is always very friendly when I walk in the door and when I exit. The bathrooms and the locker rooms are always very clean. And there are plenty of machines that work properly and are not rusty or damaged.

I also go to PF Copley. The Rocky RiveR PF has more machines available, allows general use of the 30-min express workout equipment, has way more spacious bathrooms and controls the music volume so that you can actually listen to your own music on your cell.

I have been a Planet Fitness Black Card member since July 2022. My home club has been Rocky River for the durations of my membership and I have visited multiple other locations. The Rocky River club is by far the best Planet Fitness location that I have been to. What sets Rocky River apart from the rest is the excellent staff who are welcoming, supportive, and eager to help. Two employees that stand out from the rest in my opinion are Deleon Jackson and Dasha LaPoint. I can honestly say that they have been instrumental in my fitness journey, contributed greatly my success, and honestly, kept me coming back when I’ve felt discouraged. Deli is a ray of sunshine regardless of whether it is super early on a weekend morning or in the middle of the night. Deli is one of the first staff members that I met when I joined PF and has been very influential in my fitness journey. I missed her dearly during her maternity leave and am glad to see her smiling face behind the front desk when I arrive each day. Dasha is a wealth of information. Her technical background has been very helpful with respect to answering fitness questions, supplying me with advice/information when asked to better my workout, and explaining concepts that were foreign to me in a way that I can understand. I appreciate Dasha’s direct approach and her patience in respectfully assisting a beginner like myself. Brian (night time employee) has been excellent as well. I do not typically workout during his shift but when I have he has been very friendly and super helpful. The upgraded equipment at the Rocky River location is also awesome and I can also say that it is the cleanest gym that I’ve been to. The other PF’s in the area an also clean but housekeeping seems to be a high priority in RR. The only thing that the RR PF is lacking for me is a Fitness Trainer. Fitness classes were one of the main reasons that I joined PF. I worked with the 3 trainers that worked at RR previously. I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent working with them. I, along with the others I used to take classes with would really like to see a fitness trainer at RR in the future. I froze my PF membership recently to pursue my fitness goals at the YMCA because they offer classes and training but I quickly returned to PF. The YMCA was terribly unclean in comparison to PF and in all honesty, I missed the RR PF staff. Keep up the great work!!!

I love this location, it's always immaculate, the staff is very friendly and helpful. And there are so many amenities. I'm shocked by the money I used to spend before when I could've gotten the same or actually better facilities and service with Planet Fitness!

Planet fitness is always great- but this one gets real crowded real fast. I still haven't found a good time to go where isnt crazy busy/ can't use the machines I like 😕

Just joined, but the place is clean and comfortable. I scheduled a meeting with a guy named Max at the Rocky River, OH location to get me acclimated to the place and some of the machines. This guy could not have been better. Patiently took me through and demoed the machines on the workout plan he created for me. I went back in the next day and got started, feeling so much more confident about what I was doing than I would've been on my own.

My experience at planet fitness is always great, staff is always polite and friendly.

Very clean environment overall, staff is very helpful and pleasant. Moderately busy but still comfortable everytime I've gone.

Planet Fitness was a huge disappointment. Outdated equipment and burnt-out bulbs in the tanning bed ruined any chance of an enjoyable workout. On top of that, their cancellation policy is ridiculous. They force you to drive all the way to the gym or send a certified letter just to cancel. No online or phone options available. And let's not forget the overpowering smell of socks that permeates the place. Save yourself the trouble!

My advice, if you're going to get a gym membership and not use the Planet Fitness right near you, you should pay for the Black Membership, which gives you the right to not use all the gyms across the country or their massage chairs, infared booths, etc. Look, these aren't the greatest gyms - some are smaller, (line the Rocky River location) and the equipment and atmosphere caters towards people who are not hardcore fitness freaks (which is fine for me.) I can get a great workout, it's clean, not crowded at the times I go, and i dont get hit on by hot, sweaty women dressed in revealing outfits like most gyms.

Very affordable way to stay active and have access to gym equipment. It does get a little busy at times, but I love being able to see the crowd meter in the app. And even when I do go during busier periods, I've always been able to enjoy my workouts!

I love the free membership they're offering to teenagers this summer, the gym is a bit crowded at certain peak times, however at night it's usually not too bad. Locker rooms and equipment are always clean, and while this particular planet fitness doesn't have racks, the variety of weight machines makes up for it. Overall a spectacular gym for an affordable price!

8 of the 24 bulbs in their lay down tanning bed was burnt out. Don’t expect an enjoyable leg day at this location. The equipment is scattered in opposite directions and so out dated.

I love coming to this place! Everyone is so nice, friendly, and helpful. It truly is the judgement free zone. People of all shapes, sizes, and ages come here. I am middle aged and getting back into exercise and truly feel welcome here. The classes done by Matiss, the trainer, are the reason I recommend PF to everyone. Matiss is super knowledgeable and truly the nicest, most encouraging trainer I’ve ever worked with. Did I mention he’s the best?!? The manager, Mike, is friendly and always checking on things-circulating around the club, and cleaning as well. How often do you see a manager vacuuming and cleaning instead of just telling the staff to do it? The clean stations (to spray down equipment before and after use) are always fully stocked and always refilled. The spa area is amazing, super clean, and such a pleasure to use after a hard or even easy workout. Please keep up the good work!

A Planet Fitness membership is the best deal in town when it comes to fitness. The app is robust, the staff is friendly, helpful and professional and the gym is clean. There is a good selection of equipment. I look forward to when this location has trainer.

Friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of great equipment for cardio and weight training. The hydro-massage is an excellent bonus. I look forward to shedding some pounds and feeling energized.

Great machines. Staff is kind and is very clean. I said that all they had were news channels. The next week I went in, they added other stations.

Always a good time at this location. Staff is great especially ROB!! Everyone alway so nice and friendly. Rob goes above and beyond. Constantly helping people with questions and problem solving. Positive attitude and just over all good dude. Should be in a higher position on the staff in my opinion. Give that man a raise!!
