Visit: April 24, 2022 Reservation for 10 people Seating: Inside Cons: Hot mimosas (needed to ask for ice). When we received our food (we were told-after ordering-the kitchen was behind about an hour and a half) 80% of the table's orders were incorrect and/or undercooked. I ordered the Catfish and Grits and experienced food positioning symptoms the next morning. The catfish itself was okay and barely room temperature. The breading was somewhat crispy (it was probably sitting on the grits for a while). The grits themselves were thick and needed a lot of seasoning. While we waited for mimosas and appetizers, I noticed it took almost 2 hours for staff to clean a table after the previous patrons left. Additionally the food runners were consistently bringing dishes back to the kitchen (wrong orders more than likely). I even saw staff eating and drinking in the kitchen and amongst guests. The atmosphere itself did not embody anything Creole (music or decor). I don't believe this restaurant will be here long (like previous businesses). Pros: The hostess checked on us regularly to make sure we received everything we needed (not our server). The cook came out to bring corrected/new dishes to the table

This is a first and last visit for me! Attended a birthday brunch for a friend! Let me start by saying, our waiter was super nice and attentive and the only reason for the 1 of the stars given. We started with drinks of course and ordered the Bottomless Mimosa (not pictured), Bubbles on Bourbon (red-ish/pink drink below) which is super cute but had no flavor what-so-ever, Miss Nola (the yellow-ish drink below) which my friend said was simply just okay, and the Creole Island (the peach drink below) which my other friend said was sweet and strong. For apps we ordered the Creole wings (pictured below) which were sent back due to not being cooked all the way, they definitely had pink inside. The Fried Green Tomatoes (also below) which were really good! The Spinach Dip (also below) was good, a bit salty but good. However, the tortilla chips were not fried long enough and they were super soft. As well as the Crab Cake (not pictured) but my friend said was very tasty. The apps were the reason I gave the second star. Now for our entrees……where do I even begin. Well, the Catfish and Grits were sent back (pictured below). The catfish was emerged in the grits making it very very very soggy. Not a fan of soggy food especially fried catfish. And the grits were mushy. Next, again the chicken from the Chicken and Waffles had to be sent back because the chicken was not cooked through and was pink inside. The potatoes were edible and the fries tasted frozen and everything seemed to be seasoned with old bay. No good flavor in any of the dishes. For the price of the food, I really expected more. I left HUNGRY and very disappointed. We were also asked to bring cash to pay four separate bills as one. This is a huge inconvenience.

It was a slow night, so some what expected a laid back service, but it got to the point where I was forgot about, which for this night was highly unacceptable. Having had high quality creole food, this was as close to "cajunfied" meals as you can get. The food wasn't bad but lacked taste I'm used to. The lobster mashed potatoes & deviled eggs were really good and would be worth eating again. I wasn't a fan of Etouffee, as it was too tomato-e, shrimp was not the best, and main "spice" was from jalapenos. The establishment is nice place to celebrate although it is awkward to get to. For the price of ~$70 (18% auto tip) that included no drinks (water only), it'd be hard to consistently come back unless you're craving creole and have no other options.

Turned up and after a 5 minute wait were seated in a comfortable booth in the bar area. Atmosphere was quiet but nice. Baring in mind we ate earlier than usual around 5. It was restaurant week so gave this place a shot! We had a wonderful server she was incredibly nice and very patient with our questions. The cocktails we ordered were very slow and the food coming out was too. That aside the food was excellent and worth the wait. The beer on tap choices were disappointing too however. To sum up, an excellent choice for excellent food, but you will have to wait abit.

Good Cajun food in a fun atmosphere. Good menu of many Cajun favorites, and they also do some special food things (was taco Tuesday when I was there). Food and cocktails were both tasty. They also had a happy hour until 7 with reduced price cocktails and appetizers. There is a larger bar area (with TVs), decent sized indoor dining area and a large patio area. Was previously the 66 Sailors club for people that may remember that. Service was nice. Food was a little slow, but not bad. One complaint would be that it was quite loud. It was fun music, but too loud for conversation. Got even louder when karaoke night started...not sure if that is normal or not. Would come back again.

My brother comes here frequently since he lives in the building. Since we were in town for the holidays, we decided to give it on Saturday at opening. Our server was amazing and nice. I had the brunch french toast which was very good. The rest of my party had the catfish/shrimp and grits. I'm a fan of Cajun food, so I decided to come back later to give those options a try. Unfortunately, I was told no take out orders on Saturdays - which my brother wasn't even aware of - so we went around the corner to Zanzibar and gave them my money. The restaurant was nowhere near busy for this decision. I was highly disappointed.

Our appetizers were good infact I was skeptical because they came out before the bartender made our drinks. My chicken sandwich was also very delicious and definitely one of the biggest ones I've had. My girl also enjoyed her meal and even though I don't eat seafood I wanted to try hers LOL! My only downside to this place was if you don't have a reservation you have to sit at the bar which I didn't mind but the place wasn't busy at the time we went. The server was nice and straightforward which I also liked. She definitely made good drinks!

Overall the food was ok. I had the fried green tomatoes, they weren’t seasoned good(but they did look seasoned), they were hot and fresh though! We had the creole pasta, I was disappointed because although it tasted pretty good, it was cool(temperature wise) and for $22 it should be hot not warm or cool. Taste wise it wasn’t spicy or Cajun which I wasn’t expecting. I honestly think they forgot to bring our food out because the waitress brought it out right after asking the other lady that brings food out where our order was, so it was probably sitting up. We also had the jambalaya. It was spicy and pretty good, the sauce kind of tasted like ravioli. Overall, it’s too expensive for the food not to be delicious. Oh and customer service was great! It started off a little shaky, but I think there was an incident with another party right as we arrived but after that the customer service was great.

The food was a good replica of Louisiana style food. I wanted a little more spiciness. Pro: friendly staff. I was greeted at the door and door opened for me before entry. I was on time few guess were late, but grandson and I were seated in small waiting area until more came. I reserved a table through open table on google, and it was honored with no problems. Friendly and helpful waiter and waitress. Drinks were worth the price. I was bought a drink of choice from a guest in the restaurant and given a baguette desert for birthday by restaurant. Additionally, a table sign was created with Happy Birthday on it. Con: I could only get one flavor of small plate wings. If the guest is willing to pay, I would think I should have been able to get all 3 flavors.

We visited House of Creole for the first time tonight, (September 23, 2023). We decided to sit on the patio, which was charmingly set up with wrought iron tables topped with bright orange umbrellas, a seating area with a fire pit and a nice outside bar. This is surrounded by century-old brick buildings set far back from busy Euclid Avenue. Light jazz music fills the air, but not so loudly that you can't hear the person across the table speak. We were greeted by our server, Taylor almost immediately. She was polite, personable, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. We dined on Gumbo, Etouffe, and salmon. We finished with ice cream. The food was flavorful and came to our table hot. I would highly recommend the salmon. Prices were less than other high-end restaurants downtown. The atmosphere was unpretentious and friendly. If you're looking for a relaxing place to eat with excellent food and an attentive staff, this is the place to go.

Hands down the best gumbo I’ve ever had. The jambalaya was delicious. The bayou rolls were so unique and tasty we almost ordered more to go. You won’t leave this place hungry. The hurricane drink transported me back to NOLA. Both the outside patio and indoor area are beautiful, great photo wall outdoors, fire pit, TVs for the games. Staff was attentive and friendly, was immediately greeted upon arrival. Will definitely be visiting again!

This was the first time me and my bestie visited this restaurant. I had an AWESOME time. We got the Brunch Package with Bottomless Mimosas and a starter 😍 I got Peach Bellini and she got the Creole Punch, both amazing! Soul egg rolls hit the spot because we were starving when we got there. I got the Lamb chops with eggs and home fries, cooked perfectly and hot when it got to my table, she got the French Toast with eggs and sausage, my food was good but I was still jealous and she cleared her plate. We sat away from the music so we could catch up but it was definitely a great vibe. DJ played some great hits. Our server Dyanna was the best!! Very attentive with a great personality! The bathroom is a little journey but is very nice as well. Will definitely be back for another brunch experience. Ohh and I can't forget the "Big Guy." He is the General Manager. THANKS ROGER!! (Ask him to dance for you 🤣)

The waitress I had was perfect. Very attentive, made sure we didn't need anything and when we did she was on point. The food was very flavorful. The drinks had some kick to them, not watered down and not to strong. I definitely will be coming again.

Me and 1 of my best girlfriends went here to celebrate my birthday. Roger (1 of the GM's) was very friendly. He came over to ensure our experience was okay and even gave us a dessert on the house. Our waitress Oriana was nice and offered suggestions on what to order. We ordered Hit Different cocktail which were strong and tasty. We both got the salmon, which was cooked to perfection. Our appetizers (steak egg rolls and deviled eggs) were delicious. We came on jazz night and the band was outstanding and played a good variety of songs. The crowd was also mixed which was nice. My only negative aspect would be the wait time to receive our food but the music made it not seem so long. I have already recommended this place to a few people. Oh yeah and it's black owned also!

Staying in Cleveland and had to look no further than across the street from our hotel to find the House of Creole. Got their dying happy hour which was perfect to try a few different appetizers with our meal. The Gumbo was exceptional, as good as the appetizers we had and the atmosphere was just as pleasant. Maurice, our waiter, was keen on making our experience a good one from making sure we were comfortable Louisiana spiciness, to recommendations and great service!! Highly recommend!!

Interesting experience, first time at restaurant. Ordered small plate of spinach dip and fried green tomatoes. Fried green tomatoes were cooked well and enjoyed the presentation for both. Main entree consisted of bayou pasta, shrimp and grits and a few drinks. Shrimp and grits was covered and fully immersed in sauce. Pasta not flavorful but grilled chicken on pasta was pretty good while the sautéed shrimp within the grits was tasty as well. Shrimp and grits was way too saucy and unable to see the shrimp or the grits. Our server Marquis was great and very accommodating, nice atmosphere with great music, television at bar area and quickly seated. Transition time on Sundays between 4-5 pm with small plates served before 5 pm dinner transition. Overall, not a bad first time experience but would recommend less sauce or would order sauce on the side next time so I can actually see the quality of the shrimp and grits without being fully immersed in sauce. Would recommend more flavoring and creamier sauce for the pasta.

Customer service is good, food portions are amazing, wait time for food is never too long, everything comes out fresh, pipping hot, and ready. The jambalaya over pasta is really good, and the Bayou rolls are to die for!! And everyone there is super nice and makes sure you’re well taken care of.

We enjoyed a wonderful evening for my mom’s birthday. Everything we ordered was delicious. We were pleasantly surprised at the flavor and authenticity of our dishes. We ordered the seafood etouffee, creole wings, lobster pasta and seafood mac n cheese. Selah, our server, was attentive all night and even brought out their beignet dessert for the occasion!
