So glad that they brought back family hours!!! We always have a great time and it's not expensive at all. We got $20 worth of tokens to play with and it lasted 2 hours for 4 of us. They also offer great food and drink deals!

I had a good time here. I went early on a weekday, so it wasn't busy at all. I can imagine how packed this place can get just because it's a fun place to be without breaking the bank. The pizza is tasty and just greasy enough! I just got a couple of $4 pepperoni slices since it was just me. I'll go back for sure. I think this would be a great lunch break place if they ever expand the hours. My favorite day of the week to visit is Friday afternoon, $2 pizza and 20 free tokens.

This place is awesome. This is for the adults but we all have a kid inside of us and this place will bring it out of you. All the old arcade games made me fill like a kid again. I have not seen some of these games in years ok ok centuries ha ha .on top of all that they have every beer 🍺 on tap you could dream of and the deals they give is awesome I don't see how they make money . Ether way the staff if helpful, fun, and ready to have a good time. If you think the games and patio plus all the seats 💺 inside just not enough then hang on because there is a hole nother floor in the basement packed with more games . O ya did I mention the food ? You can order pizza 🍕 by the slice or get the whole pizza and they have some that I never heard of and it's good. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great time or just want to have a blast from the past. Great work to the staff and owners I will definitely be back.

This place was a pleasant surprise in the Central West End. There are tons of games to play, as well as skeeball and shooting hoops. They have a lovely patio area and two bars. The bartenders were kind and helpful with deciding how many tokens to purchase. This place gets busy fast, so be prepared to take turns. Overall, a nice experience.

Come here all the time with friends! Great drinks, AMAZING pizza, beautiful patio, lots of choice in games and 2 levels of fun lol They also have kid days I think the first Sunday of every month and they add in kid friendly portion sizes and snacks. The tokens are very cheap compared to many gaming places as well! Also the security there is simply amazing. I got physically held from behind by a large male I never met and the worker I was near subtly called security and even after I got away from the guy, security came up to me and asked what he looked like and removed him as he was belligerent. Cannot say enough how safe that made me feel and how much I tell my friends to come with me to this bar as we don't feel as at risk as we do in some other bars..

This place is awesome! Great selection of retro games, amazing pizza and as I don't drink alcohol it was a VERY nice surprise to find out the soda was FREE refills!!! Great vibes and friendly staff! Will definitely return for more fun soon!

Killer atmosphere, awesome pizza, good people! If you're in St Louis for the weekend with your friends or a significant other, definitely a place to check out. No kids allowed though so not a family friendly place. But if it's an adults only trip, it's a must stop.

We went to Up-Down for our wedding’s after party and everything was fantastic. Leading up to the wedding night, Mike was communicative and helpful in getting everything organized. The place itself was spacious — our group of 30 was the perfect size to not feel like we took over the bar, but still had plenty of space to hang out and enjoy the games. The beer choice was excellent, and our guests raved about the pizza. Couldn’t have picked a better spot to keep the celebrations going.

So many games, and they all play for 1 token! I popped in there on a Saturday evening. The place was jumping, and the vibe was so good! The loud music really fueled the energy and everyone there seemed to be gaming it up and having the time of their lives. The craft beer selection was pretty impressive. There was ski-ball, pinball, DDR, you name it... There was even a Michael Jackson's Moonwalker Arcade game that I never knew existed. Such a fun spot.

One of my favorite arcade bars. It has plenty of space and games. The games are VERY decently priced. There are two levels, and it’s wheelchair accessible. (Elevator) The patio is lovely. The bar is great, and they have a good selection of beers. Offers pizza by the slice. My only concern is the smell walking in. It’s not strong but very mildly funky. (It could’ve been just the day I visited) Other than that, very clean. The staff is friendly, I would recommend it.

It was amazing to see all the retro games, even ones I haven't been able to play while enjoying great drinks. The atmosphere made it easy to have fun and just enjoy the time there. I was glad to be able to find somewhere that has a late night, fun place while I was traveling.

Love going here! If you really want to play some games I highly suggest going on a Sunday when it’s not as crowded and they have a great deal $20 for 80 tokens, you can’t beat that! The pizza is amazing too so make sure to grab a slice and head to your favorite old arcade game! This place has ton of selections of games so you will be able to find your favorite from your childhood and a new one to enjoy as an adult! Definitely one of my favorite places to play games and have a great night!

Extensive beer list with lots of local offerings & specials, big slices of well priced delicious pizza, and two stories (street & basement with an accessible lift) of fun retro games to be enjoyed by groups, couples, or even a solo night out. Staff is attentive & considerate. It does get crowded bc it's popular for a reason - if you're there on a weekend night buying cans and not drafts I recommend the specials they do at the tub-bar they set up near the front on busy nights. TL:DR this bar makes going to the CWE worthwhile.

Absolutely one of the most fun bars I've been to. Acarade games, pinball, Nintendo, new and Old school 80s games for only 25 cents. Specialty drinks that are amazing and inexpensive. Fun family place before evening hours. Only downfall is they only sever pizza, nothing else for food but the pizza is good.

Pizza is ok, but really large slices for $5. Bar has a big selection. The arcade is amazing for anyone born in the 80s or 90s. Lots of old school popular games to play. Largest number of old arcades I have seen in one place. Highly recommend going with a group of gamer friends.

If you don't drink, this is the perfect place to catch a cheap thrill! The games are so much fun! You can get so many tokens with so little money, so start small with maybe $2 worth of tokens. I wasn't able to finish 10 bucks worth of tokens! Their pizza by the slice was okay as well. A great way to get into the nostalgic groove

A really fun experience! Stepping into Up-Down is like stepping into a time machine. They have retro arcade cabinets, as well as a couple N64's hooked up, and pinball and skiball machines! Everything costs just 1 token, no price gouging here! The music they play is great too, just an awesome vibe throughout.

Great bar, with even better tenders. They are quick to bring you into a conversation which is great for people who often go out alone! My buddy got to set a new record on our return visit. My only regret is the time crisis game only has one operational screen. Otherwise, I'm coming back here once I get back to St. Louis

Man I love this place! It brings me back to my childhood going to Arcade's. The pizza is delicious I can't say enough about Up-Down it's definitely my favorite spot!

Absolutely great place!! Must go place for nostalgia. Is 21+ during certain times but has family times. Order the Jessica Rabbit! Tastes like a pixie stick.

I had been trying to get back here for 2 years. Finally visited on my birthday this year and had a blast plus got 40 free tokens because it was my birthday! I love this place and could have just as much by myself as with other people. And although I didn't have any that night, I have a bias in favor of any place that serves pizza by the slice!
