We stopped here for lunch on our way to Scotland. A beautiful village pub. Big car park with overflow parking. Outside seating is nice. Friendly and efficient staff. Drinks and food arrived within 20 minutes. Gammon on skillet and Sunday Roast Beef were delicious and filling, top value for money. We made the right decision to have a nice relaxing meal here rather than the busy motorway services. Locals were also friendly. I will not hesitate stopping here again.

Having been here a number of times I knew what to expect but the great thing about this place is, it never disappoints! The menu has something for all tastes, there are a plethora of wonderful dishes to choose from. Each day has a different special offer, make sure to check prior to your visit! The covid security is second to none throughout the entire building, with extra seating provided outdoors now to enable social distancing. Orders are made via Greene King app which is very straightforward and easy to use. We are already planning a return visit on Friday as it is 25% off challenges!!

Despite loosing the quiz on a tiebreak, had a great time. Instead of a question it was who could make a paper plane and throw it the furthest 🤣 Think mine was aerodynamiclly sound but alas I came second. Good food beforehand and a good selection of ales.

Visited on Friday 12 August to celebrate a birthday, a party of 9. Excellent food served by very friendly and efficient staff especially Tom on the bar. Always great value for money will be visiting again soon.

Our third visit for lunch in 4 weeks, this time for our daughters birthday. Table pre booked and we got the one requested. Food was excellent again. Fast becoming our new favourite for pub food. The meal deal is great value for money

I really enjoyed some Italian food at The plough. Friendly staff and a cosy place inside.

The Sunday lunches and fish & chips we had were all very nice indeed and very reasonable prices. Nice choice of beers as well. Slight delay bringing our meals but fine apart from that.

This is my go to! Good hearty food, outdoor space when the weather's good, I went there last night and although I couldn't get through to book a table I literally managed to get a table for 10 inside when I just turned up! It was no problem for the staff, they were so accommodating and friendly? Kids can run riot in the outdoor space and even find the gee gees

No issues with the meals. The sides wernt great.,the garlic bread with cheese, was very pale and like bread with microwaved cheese on top. Needed baking/grilling. The corn on the cob was again pale and very small. May past its best.

We went here for some afternoon tea and was greeted and given a table quickly. We have visited before a few years back and this time the menu had changed. I had a 16oz rump steak and it was cooked to perfection. The peppercorn sauce was lovely and my kids meals were also terrific. The chefs and owners should be proud of the food. We won't leave it so long to be back next time.

Great pub with a friendly atmosphere. Both the food and service were excellent. Staff organised the minutes silence for the Queen’s passing very professionally while we were there.

It's a great pub. We love the food there with various discounts . It is dog friendly and we love to go there with our dog Max. Servis is outstanding and really lovely people working there. I highly recommend this place. Anna ,Peter and woof woof Max😃

Excellent meal, lovely pint. A bit of a wait to put my food order in at the bar (over 10 minutes) (if your disabled like me I advise get Greene King app and order from your table), the pub was about a quarter full. Lots of other activities and entertainments.

A lovely pub with excellent staff. Polite, friendly and nothing too much trouble. My children said it was the best food they have ever had! Value for money and we will be back to visit again.

Fine enjoyable food service very good

Called in on speck at 5pm. Enjoyable Surf and Turf deal Steak cooked perfectly and tender chicken. Value for money with good quick service

Googled Greene King as I was unfamiliar with the area and wanted somewhere for us to go for tea. The Plough looked just the job. As always with Greene King I was not disappointed. The food was excellent and with two mains for 10.99 it was incredible value. Highly recommend a visit.

Nice friendly staff, amazing food and really good prices. Would definitely recommend doing a few of the challenges 😊, the outdoor area is heated and also has live sports. Plenty of room in the garden to relax. Family of 5 brilliant lunch , thanks

Thoroughly enjoyed this dish was far too much for me to finish but I gave it a good try ☺️☺️ Unfortunately my partner didn't quite receive the same service asked for things to be removed wasnt done the first time and the second order they still put onions on his burger then took it back only to scrape them off leaving some still stuck to the cheese 😫😫
