Had a horrible stay, the Over the Phone Correspondent was down right rude and uncouth (wifi wasn't working and said the guest should find a person to repair it). Service was so poor, guest who paid for 4nights left after just one night. Housekeeper, an Older lady is nice but guests may hardly ever need her. The rooms are in themselves lovely.

Kicked out before 10 am as the workmen needed to repair the non working bathroom. I was told on arrival that the en suite wasn't working so had to use the bathroom in thr other block down the stairs, through the restaurant smd up the stairs. Being told on arrival ment it was too late to book elsewhere, thanks for that! Staff were nice.

The worst hotel and the worst service that I have ever received. There is no reception and no one to answer your queries once you check in. The room was not clean and there were no toiletries I checked in late and came to know that the electric lettle is dirty. So, I called on the given number and to my surprise he asked me not to call and wait till the morning. It is a straight no for everyone who is looking forward to staying at this place.

Nice, small B&B. Family room is huge and had a small kitchen attached. Close to the town centre and about a ten min walk to the Railway Station. Would definitely book again when I'm in Scunthorpe.

This is an absolute gem of a B&B! Superb value for money. The lady who runs it is welcoming and polite, she does a great job running this place! The room was spot on, Modern, clean and fresh. Bed was super soft and had a great sleep. Was in room 8 which had an extra bed, en suite and a kitchen area with oven, hob, sink and microwave. Breakfast is served between 8-9am on weekends. We got in at 8.30 and there was a selection of cereal and fresh orange juice. A full English breakfast is available and was nice, it did the trick! WiFi is available and the code is in the room. Ample room around the back for customer parking also. If I'm in the area again I'll definitely be back! Thanks for a great stay, all the best.

The cosgrove is clean and good value for money, my only bad comment would be that there is only one housekeeper who has a bad attitude, I turned up for breakfast at 8am only to be turned away as breakfast was finished, and that she had a schedule and would not cook.

House keeper was rude and didn't tell us anything about what time breakfast was going to be served. All we got told is that we had to leave the room by ten. You can hear every movement in other rooms because the walls are thin as paper. Wouldn't stay again.

Stayed here recently. In all fairness, the rooms were good. They were clean and looked to be recently done up. What let's it down is a few other factors. Had to wait outside for 15/20 mins whilst someone had to drive to let us in despite prior warning when we were due to arrive and when we got there. Noisy guests. If your room is on the front then this is Noisy also. Very much an interrupted stay. As we were leaving to go for a walk into town, the front doorbell went and there was police officers trying to gain access to the property searching for someone who regularly stayed there. As a whole, it was OK. But nothing more, expect no service from the staff. No reception.

Room was lovely and clean, super comfy, tv didn’t work, called and asked for them to sort it and he said no one will come out as it’s a weekend. So we had no tele. We had to go out and buy our own ariel for the tv to work. Loud music in the building coming from other rooms so sleep was disturbed. Won’t be staying here again.

The place looked as if it had a refurbishment done. The walls could do with some colour with pictures etc. The place is extremely clean and staff very friendly. The tv in my room needs to be re-tuned, and details of the wifi connection should be made aware of in the room.

Absolutely appalling place to be, I have lived here since September 2023 under emergency housing my 1 year old and me have been locked out 4 times as they do not tell you when they changed the code to your rooms. We contacted the number attached on numerous occasions and got no answer, I highly do not recommend this place as the landlady is very rude I knocked on her door to get into my property as the code service known as Chris wasn’t replying and she had ago at me. Even though I was home at a reasonable time

We had family room booked to be told the alarm had gone off and our room was no longer available but they did sort us another room which was lovely and clean .shame the staff Don't have a better attitude towards there customers the lady is not very friendly never made us feel welcome in the room is a kettle but no tea or coffee to make any drinks and when my sister ask for a coffee we was told to wait till breakfast at our time we booked and breakfast was only for 1 hour i dont think i be back but thats due to the poor lady doing the breakfast not very friendly and we felt uncomfortable and seated 9 people and 1 person running the b and b

I would avoid at all costs rang the number provided and seems like my number was blocked luckily I was staying with a friend and she rang and it rang so clearly my number had been blocked when answered I said I rang 10 times and the person on the phone said I was being cocky and asked me to show proof that I rang 10 times and ended the phone , sent proof rang back and he said I sent him nothing stood in the cold for hours because he said come at 4 for some strange reason came at 4 rang the bell no one answered finally a lady came and said there was no rooms left when I clearly booked a room but luckily she was really nice and out of the blue she had a room bit strange they are all rude

Shocking I booked 2 twin rooms direct and had to unfortunately cancel rang the gentleman who was very helpful when I booked to cancel and took my money and left a message on his mobile with a clear explanation why I was cancelling due to a family emergency giving 4 days notice and asked him to call me back leaving my number and no call back and now whenever I call it is always on voicemail so I have lost my money. Absolutely disgusted with the customer service

Very misleading advertising. We paid upfront but didnt stay. Booked elsewhere. Drunks all outside bottles of alcohol all over the walls. Someone smoking in the breakfast room. No ensuite . I could go on

What a little gem !!! A lovely refurbished room. Comfy new beds, decor very tasteful. Ensuite including a small well equipped kitchen , what a lovely touch! amazing for the price. Breakfast was very well cooked. Dont hesitate book now. You want be disappointed.

Booked online and turned up to be told they was fully booked and we could not stay there! Would not waste your time no refund has even been given for this yet….

Rooms were nice. But the lady there wasn't too happy about us being builders 😂she said we had dirty clothes and not to put our bags on the bed
