I tried this place solely off of the reviews. This place should be embarrassed to call themselves a jamaican restaurant. Absolutely horrible!! I ordered stewed conch and jerk chicken using Doordash app. The conch was extremely tough and hard. This shouldn't have been for sale, the jerk chicken was MEDIOCRE on the scale of 1 to 10 the jerk was an easy 3. No taste, not seasoned just hot from the jerk sauce. If I had a car this food order would've been RETURNED! AWFUL 😖

Real Authentic Jamaican food! When you don’t feel like cooking this is the place to go. The price, variety and flavor of the food here is phenomenal! You feel like family from the moment you enter. I recommend this place a thousand times whenever you in the mood for delicious home cooked Jamaican meal look no further! I can’t wait till Friday to try the lobster & shrimp soup🤤

First of all, how is it that I've lived in South Florida since 1989 and never tried Jamaican Brown Stew Chicken?? Well, Chelly's is delicious! Nice brown sauce and perfectly spiced chicken. This restaurant is not only excellent, but also very reasonably priced. The lunch portion is very generous. Only $4.99. You get plantains, tasty sauteed cabbage, rice and beans and your choice of Brown Stew Chicken or Curry Chicken, Jerk Chicken or Fried Chicken. The side of spinach was also spectacular! And so was the cod with sauteed veggies. The spinach was the perfect combination of garlic, spices with a kick and olive oil.

Delicious jerk chicken, broccoli rice and curry chicken. They have a $4.99 lunch special and they serve generous portions, highly recommended for the best meal for the price. Restaurant is kept clean, staff is friendly, food is always fresh and hot, and atmosphere is relaxing.

The food was good. Curry goat and soap i had. Probably wouldn’t reorder the curry goat but wasn’t bad. Other dishes look delicious aswell. Didn’t taste scotch bonnet pepper though. Owner is very nice!

Never again, I work too hard for my money to have to throw entire plates of food in the garbage. My whole order was incorrect and ordered stew peas by the pound only to get a plate of bones and rice and peas. And the Jerk pork was burnt and also incorrect. It's not the first time my orders was inedible. Then the restaurant don't answer there phone. Nope, never again!

I tried Jamaican food for the first time tonight. I have only had the beef patties before. The food was terrific . I had the jerk chicken and pork with the brown rice and beans. Oh wow what flavor ,it's spicy but full of flavor , will be back soon .

I don’t often write reviews but in this case I feel compelled. I have eaten from here only twice. Both times I have ordered lunch size curried goat with rice and peas, cabbage and plantains. I also have had the sorrel. Both homemade and bottled. The atmosphere is always friendly. The portion size is great. The food is stupendous. The prices are very reasonable. Being as pale white as a bed sheet my sense of adventure when it comes to different types of food can be challenging. I will try something new next time. As good as their food is I think I will be alright. I have interacted with both the mother and the son. I’m sorry I’m bad with names. They are a pleasure to do business with. This is now my new favorite Jamaican restaurant. I hope you continue to do well.

This is a great lunch place. Quick and easy. The brown stew chicken was sweet but very moist. The rice and peas were good. The vegetables were really crunchy and tasteful. Overall b+

Fantastic food and wonderful people. I’m visiting from Australia and this is easily my favourite spot in the city. Would love to come back with my family

This is a hidden gem for sure. Try the lunch special, the jerk chicken (pictured) will blow your mind. I paid $ 6.99 for a huge generous portion. They also have sea food menu which my wife had different from the much special menu. It was tongue candy! Friendly and clean. Cannot wait to go back again!

Saw it on my maps app and checked out the menu. Since I was 5 minutes away, I decided to stop and try them out. I had a small curried goat, and I got the small stew peas for my daughter. A very tasty curried goat, nicely seasoned with the right amount of scotch bonnet heat. I'll update you when my daughter eats her stew peas. I was satisfied with my choice and the service was very friendly and pleasant. The ambiance was good and I'll try them again.

I’m not a huge fan of Jamaican cuisine but this place has certainly changed my opinion. Very tasty, well seasoned food! I had oxtails and curry chicken and Mac and cheese. Everything was delicious! The two people working the restaurant made me feel very welcomed and entertained my questions with humor, grace, and advice. I was very very happy. And it was a lot of food; we couldn’t finish it. It’s safe to say that we’ll be returning!!!!

Easter was a hit!! We ordered several items from Chelly’s for Easter lunch, about 50 people, and everyone completely loved the food— absolutely delicious! And, we’re a tough Island crowd ;-) Plus, great staff that was always so, so helpful!

I was on my lunch break and went to a restaurant next to it they turned out to be closed. Chelly’s was open and there was a 4 person line. Line was resolved quick even though a party of three came in last minute and was given priority, they looked like regulars and I’m guessing is a sign of good customer service to loyal customers. Curry chicken was very spicy 🌶 as it should be! I would go back again.

I like to stop here when in town because they have the best Jamaican food. The food is always prepared fresh and the place very clean. The people are very nice. You get so much delicious food for the price. The jerk chicken is excellent!

Extremely friendly staff with a welcoming atmosphere. I ordered the vegetarian wrap and they DELIVERED. The lady asked me what I could eat and when I told her "anything but meat" she was happy to make me a 'deluxe' wrap. I cannot describe in words how satisfied I was with my meal. 10/10, would go again (yes there was mac and cheese in the wrap 🤤)

My first time having food at Chelly's Jamaican restaurant and it was sooo good I had to return with my Mother a second time to try more! I have been to several Caribbean restaurants but nothing compares to Chelly's. I have tried their Bar-B-fried chicken, jerk chicken, rice and peas, steamed cabbage, ripe sweet plantain and curry goat. Quality of food is 10/10, Service 10/10, Atmosphere 10/10. I didn't get the name of the gentleman and young lady working on August 18 and August 23 but big up and respect to you both. You both were so sweet, kind and friendly, that is the service that I admire and respect. The menu is spectacular they sell different items on different days but they have a great variety such as ackee and saltfish, breadfruit, jerk chicken, bar-b-fried chicken, curry chicken, fried dumpling, stew peas, curry goat, cow foot, escovitch fish, pepper shrimp, curry shrimp, baked macaroni and cheese, rice and peas, white rice, mixed veggie rice, boiled dumpling, green banana, yam and more! The most variety I have ever seen at a Jamaican restaurant! Next time I am in town I will be sure to stop by. To all the staff: Keep up the great work!!🙏🏽😊👏🏽❤

I love this place. I discovered this place and didn't realize how much I love it until i called ahead to check if they had ackee and saltfish and then drive 30 minutes on the highway even with high gas prices just to get some. The jerk is great too. I haven't tried everything but everything i have had is really good, better then home cooking. Great food, friendly staff. I highly recommend

Wasn’t sure what I wanted because I’ve never really had Jamaican food but Samantha steered me in the right direction! She was super sweet and helpful with all my questions. I got the brown stew chicken and it was incredible. Big portions and super reasonable prices, I’ll be back for sure!
