This is one of my favorite Jamaican restaurants. It’s close enough where I’ll go every other day lol. The food is really great, very nice workers and the place is always clean. I got the jerk chicken wrap which was delicious, very flavorful with the right amount of spice. Also got stews peas with rice very good.

So I came in a couple of weeks ago to give this place a try and have been coming back ever since. I don't eat meat, so I sampled the veggie chunks and the curry chickpeas, they were both ssssooo good that I ordered both of them. I had to meet the chef and compliment him on the great tasting food. I order the jerk chicken for my daughter and she loves it. The service is on par. Now you guys keep up the great food and service and you will have a customer who will keep coming back and also spread the word. Support small business. Update 07/07/23- still my favorite Jamaican restaurant to get awesome food and service.

Finally, some good Island food!! On our way to visit my MIL, we came across this gem for lunch. We had the lunch specials $5.19 each, feed 4 ppl for under $30🤑!! Jerk chicken, rice and peas, plantains & veggies, I got the curry chicken platter—I wanted some of the garlic honey wings— they looked yummy (next time). Food was hot, flavorful and staff were courteous!! Restaurant and bathroom was clean too!! Beef patty was a bit to thick for me, but the filling was good and spicy!!😋

This food was excellent. From the service to the taste, one of the best experiences ever! Definitely my new spot for Caribbean flavor. None can compare and that's facts!

I had rice & peas with jerk chicken & plantains. It felt like a home-cooked meal and it was my first time trying Jamaican food. They treated me super well! Excellent service & excellent food!

Delicious! As I sat in my car, waiting for my clothing to be laundered next door I noticed the foot traffic of people in and out and became curious. I asked a patron if the food was good and with enthusiasm, she said it was delicious, so I found my way in and was pleasantly surprised the staff was exceptionally friendly, warm and inviting, the gentleman whom I believe was the owner was patient and let me try a few things while answering my questions. This place is a vegetarian’s heaven. He gave me a sample of the pineapple chunks and it was delicious. I had the gravy with fried chicken and I’ve never tasted anything like that, the food is well seasoned. I’ve never had callaloo rice before and it was incredible. It’s not seasoned with the same typical Sazon seasoning like most Jamaican restaurants use. You can actually taste the ingredients the ginger, the garlic etc ..I absolutely recommend this place the value the quality cannot be disputed!

Authentic Jamaican food here! If you grew up on Jamaican food you know when you've tasted the "real thing"! Curry Chicken and Jerk Chicken were tops! Very clean establishment with great customer service as well. You won't be disappointed!

I tried it for the first time and was impressed with the Fast service; we called in our dinner orders on a Friday and it was ready within 15 mins for pickup.👍 We ordered the 🌶 escovitch snapper with rice and peas and was delicious. I had the oxtail and rice and peas with steam veggies and it was nice and tender, not too much flavor but filling. I would definitely try other dishes in the future one day. >> Update 4.30.22 on today's jerk chicken. 😕 We had the so called jerk chicken and I was embarrassed to serve this jerk dish to my family. I suggested us to have Jamaican dinner today over other ethnic food. My family couldn't finish this dish 🥺 Some pieces of the chicken was overcooked , tough, dry and burnt. I literally scraped burnt up skin off a drumstick and ate it since nobody wanted it. The chicken had no hint of grilled taste, its oven cooked and smeared with pepper with no flavor. I truly hope chef has a better day tomorrow because dis ting today taste like cardboard and scotch bonnet. The other dishes we had were good: A brown stew snapper and also oxtail with rice and peas with steam veggies.

This is by far the best Jamaican restaurant ever! The staff knows what great customer service is. They are very courteous. The place is very clean (as all restaurants should be). You will not regret spending. The meal is inviting and delicious. Go try them! It’s my first time but they seem to be very consistent and I love that!

Absolutely amazing food. This is hands down the best oxtail and chicken stew I ever had in my life. Portions are very great. Quality is amazing. People are friendly. If you’re looking for a good high quality meal please come here. Food was outstanding and I will be returning regularly. 10/10 in my book.

My first experience at Island Flavor was last year and it was very memorable. I bought the jerk chicken and it was flavorful, delicious, and very juicy. It was the best over others that I tried. Anytime I go back that's my dish. I usually drive from pine island road to the restaurant. The workers are very pleasant. I highly recommend 👌

Okay, so I had to leave another review after I went the first time and said something about the jerk chicken being weird, the owner wrote and said I must have went to the wrong spot. I didn't, and after a second time trying the jerk it's still not giving me traditional jerk flavor, jerk heat, or jerk look. One it's wet as you can see the reddish liquid next to it, it's sitting in a pan with liquid covering almost half of it, I've always had jerk dry unless I ask for gravy. Again, it's not a bad flavor, and tastes okay, but it's giving a weird flavor I can't describe, something I've never tasted on any jerk before. If you are looking for something different then I would suggest trying this place.

I’ll like to say I’ve always seen this place but never thought to try. However, my friend expressed how she tried this food for lunch and it was really good. We all decided the next day at work the whole staff to try, and man I tell you we didn’t regret it. My honest only not so good opinion is the sharing portion is not enough. I already have brag and told friends and family about the restaurant and they’ve tried already, and said the same thing food is great but sharing portions is too small. I hope the owner sees this and consider. Thank you 😊

I will be going back again and again as long as I’m in this area. 5 stars. Cool people of course. Friendly. Food tender good and how it should be.

This is by far an authentic Jamaican spot. It is clean. The staff members are friendly, courteous, and professional. It is not often you can find any restaurant, or other establishment, for that matter, where you can freely give an excellent review and never “look back” at what is written. A 5-star all round experience for me! My third visit in less than a month - TODAY and… “I’m feeling great!”

I ordered the brown stew snapper. Its cook to order so the wait was about 35min. It was worth the wait. The fish was perfection. Fresh, flavorful. The veggies were delicious and added an additional decorative touch to the presentation of the fish plate. The rice was fresh and melts n your mouth. The kitchen staff deserve a raise. If I had to find room for improvement I would say a little less oil in the gravy and larger portion of rice. But I will definitely be back.

Really good food, great flavor and awesome portion size, good job Chef and the other workers at the front. Down side about this restaurant is that I think they close too early at 9pm where as other restaurants may close at 10pm or 11pm and at that time it's like fast food time and I don't want fast food, next is that when they're out of anything like fried chicken or anything else that's it there's no more to get so if the fried chicken runs out at 3pm there's no more to get because there's no one to cook anymore to send out because the chef cooks a certain amount and thats it and they close at 9pm that I think is ridiculous. Loss of money and maybe customers who might go to the competition.
