Paperboy is definitely one of my favorite brunch restaurants! Everything is delicious, and the ambience and service are both good. In savory items, fried chicken biscuit, Texas hash, cheddar hash, avocado toast kale salad are good. In sweet items, cinnamon toast is great. In pastry, both peanut butter & chocolate pop tart and bacon & caramelized onion galette are delicious. Overall, we had wonderful experiences every time we came here for brunch.

We were the first people to arrive Saturday morning. We didn’t have a reservation but thankfully we were sat at a good table anyways. We both enjoyed the classic breakfast and a mimosas carafe. The best thing I ordered BY FAR was the cinnamon toast. I would’ve ordered that alone if I knew how good it was. Definitely would check this place out if you’re in the area, but make reservations first because it filled up quickly.

Best place brunch! The food is excellent good and friendly service. Long waiting! The ricotta toast, paperboy pancake, Texas hash, and paperboy cheeseburger are just incredible. Strongly recommended. We will come back again for sure and try out the rooftop after the hot summer.

I had a lovely experience at Paperboy today. I walked up in peak brunch hour and was able to get a seat at the bar inside within 15 minutes. I was able to order a cocktail at the outdoor counter and had a seat outside while I waited. I had trouble deciding what to order so I got two things and man am I glad. The hash with the mole sauce was delicious! And I'm so glad I got the mushroom and Kate grits. The coffee and mimosas were excellent and the service was top notch. The bar tenders were kind, attentive, and fun. I will for sure be going back and trying their more sweet brunch plates next time.

Looked forward to trying this spot for a while unfortunately it didn’t fully live up to the hype I was hoping for. The atmosphere was very busy and slightly chaotic it was almost off putting. I sat at the bar which was half hazardously tended too. I didn’t receive an item I had ordered it wasn’t even rung in. Me and the customer next to me both received our food before our coffees and had to ask for them twice. Also had to seek someone’s attention for the check. The coffee station also tends to the takeout window in addition to the restaurant heavily holding up drink orders. The expo counter staff seemed stressed out and were openly complaining about customers. I expected a slightly more professional demeanor from the staff in a higher end establishment. The lil billy coffee was very unique and well balanced. The pancake was good and is worth the try. All the food coming out of the kitchen looked good. I think the popularity and amount of volume done out of the tiny space is impeding on the atmosphere. I’d recommend getting takeout from the window to avoid the chaos of trying to get in without a reservation.

Paperboy is worth needing to book your reservation 3 weeks in advance. Everything looks beautiful and tastes perfect! The has browns are completely slept on in other reviews. They’re amazing and taste like gourmet McDonalds in the best way. If you go later in the day, they’ll probably have sold out of the pastry options, so keep that in mind.

Best fried chicken ever in Austin. They are crispy and hot honey sauce is so perfect for friend chicken. I regret not choosing it on my first visit so I came back! And both of us got fried chicken. It’s their best menu. Love their salad & pancake but can’t beat fried chicken! Recommend to make a reservation but walk in is always available. (Thou last year I waited 1.5hour and couldn’t make it) Waiting time pretty varies

Originally visited around 12 pm on a Saturday but ended up going elsewhere due to the almost 2 hour wait. Came back on a Sunday around 10 am and the wait was about 30 minutes. After waiting, we were seated on the patio on the second floor. I really enjoyed eating outside. There are umbrellas to block out the sun and misting fans to keep you cool. I don’t think I would really like sitting inside due to the tight quarters and high foot traffic. The location is really small, so keep that I mind if you’re looking to dine with more than 5 people. I ordered the steak and eggs with the cheddar hash brown instead of the potato wedges. Although it took a while for our food to come out, I was thoroughly satisfied because everything was delicious !! The steak was very tender and cooked to perfection. Overall, I enjoyed this place and the cute little complimentary rice crispy treats that we got at the end of the meal. This is a must try if you have enough patience to wait.

What a great spot for breakfast/brunch! We made a reservation over a month in advance due to how crazy popular it is here but I think our patience was worth is as the food is very tasty with a mix of Mexican inspired dishes and decent pricing! We ordered the seasonal toast, the fried chicken and the classic eggs and bacon breakfast. Everything was delicious!

absolutely delicious brunch. the service was superb and the coffee and pastries were *chef’s kiss* the space is really thoughtful and the cocktails are great, too. get there early if you don’t want to wait for an hour to get a table and there were several well-behaved dogs on the upstairs patio if you’re inclined to bring one.

A fantastic modern diner in east Austin, with plenty of parking nearby. I will definitely come here again to try other items, but I had the classic breakfast. It's a great place to sit at the counter and read your paper like the good old days, but modernized. The avocado tostada was a fun, lighter riff on the toast version, check it out.

The food was delicious as well as the service and the atmosphere. We were on the rooftop and it was a hot day but you couldn’t even tell since they have it shaded so well and fans circulating. I would definitely recommend for breakfast, brunch or lunch with friends or a lunch date. Steak and eggs are a must have 10/10.

Delicious food. The service was fantastic. We sat on the deck which was lovely. The coffee came in a timely manner. I had the classic breakfast. And a guava pastry which was perfect. The apple pop tart was delicious. The breakfast sausage was perfect, the toast was great and they cooked the eggs the way we asked. The hash browns have cheddar cheese and are golden brown. The server was friendly and efficient. I would recommend Paperboy.

Came to Austin for a really trip, but super glad I got the opportunity to try. Paperboy is a very unique style brunch staff is great. I had the fried chicken would recommend them get some hot sauce but other than that it was a great experience. Definitely try the pastries we walked in with no reservation, and they sat, the inside is definitely a vibe we were sat on the roof, but it was still a great experience

This place is great! Ended up getting the steak and eggs, as well as the pancake (not pictured)! The steak was juicy and well seasoned, eggs were great, potato wedges were seasoned and great! The pancake was huge (perfect for splitting as a side) and fluffy! Staff was friendly! Would go again and recommend if you are in the area for brunch!

Paperboy is beautiful - the vibe, the food, the people, the menu, everything is absolutely beautiful! The Texas hash has this tasty, tangy mole sauce that I wish they sold by the jar because I would totally take some of it home with me and the Chicken & Biscuits are so so good! The biscuit is dense and it soaks up the gravy and spicy honey perfectly. Designed by Chioco Design, it does not let down (if you’re into that kind of stuff).

Delicious! It was our first time and we tried a little of everything! The cinnamon french toast is heaven, lemon poppy muffin, blueberry danish, classic breakfast, sausage biscuit (my favorite) and ricotta toast. We sat outside on the upstairs patio and with the mister fans it was good! I can’t wait to go back.

Great space and aesthetically pleasing modern vibe to the decor. I love sitting at counter and viewing the meals or other orders staged for pickup to evaluate and consider what next to try. My server was very personable and responsive. I wanted to try “Valentino” cocktail as featured on the menu but they did not have the Monkey Shoulder Scotch needed. So I had to give cocktails a miss this trip. I’d certainly rather any large or any obviously not service animals not being brought through the dining area. The stairs to the patio roof are accessible from the patio outside, I thought. One at least was mostly quiet. And none shook themselves at least.
