This place gets a 5 because the food is always on point ! The service? Now that's another story. The waitresses are all no caring ( no matter who she is. They are all that way.) You have to get up and go find one. Not because there ain't enough but because they dont care.I got a waitress named Crystol this time and thank goodnss, she came back . She was perfect. Refilled our drinks twice. Brought everything that went with the order the first time. Moral of this story ? Eat here by all means. Well worth the money. Food always great but......pray you get Crystol or you'll be full but ticked off. Better yet, ask for her when you walk in.And if she aint there go ahead and stay and eat but take your tylenol, you'll wish you had.

Not a Tex-Mex fan (anywhere) but the food on the "House Specialty Plates" menu are awesome. Try the "Molcajete" or "La Azteca". The prices on those may scare you at first but they are big enough to feed two or take home a second serving for later. Or maybe you’re just super hungry like I usually am.You will be full and delighted! We always sit in the bar area and the service is good and fast. "Jalapeño Margarita" is super good too. It is definitely worth a visit!

The food here is always great and the staff is amazing. I meant to write this review a few months ago when it happened but late is better than never. So a few months back I ate there with my dad and when we left we drove back home about an hour or two away and I realized that my wallet wasn't in the truck. Luckily, one of the staff found my wallet and somehow found my Facebook and got in contact with me that way. I had to go back to brownwood the following week and I was able to pick up my wallet with all of its contents inside. Thank you!

Manuel and Chez are what makes this place good. We had ordered some food and got cut short on one plate. Manuel cared enough to come by and offer nachos on him. This is unheard of in most cases. Manuel and Chez the tall white guy with the dreads are amazing. I will be back again to try more menu options. This place gets busy and they do their best to take care of everyone. If you don’t have patience and can’t handle human error then go home. These humans do all they can and my hat off to the whole staff. Thanks Manuel!!!!!

This place has some of the best margaritas I’ve ever had (specifically the jalapeño margarita). The fajita chicken is excellent. I had great service both times I’ve been here. Don’t listen to the negative reviews. I could eat here daily.

Waiter was very new and apparently the bar(back) I mean tender as well ordered two drinks could not finish either one on the bright side the food was excellent drink ice tea next time as to not confuse anyone. Ps the Bartenders Bible is a old stand by.

This place offers great food at reasonable prices. We ordered la parrillada mixta. It’s grilled beef and chicken fajitas for two people. The portions were generous and the beef was tender and tasty, the chicken was very tasty too it had a smoky flavor.

We ordered take out and the picture is how I received the food! It also took us a while to order because some of the employees don’t know the menu . We asked for extra limes and received none , and the Al pastor Tacos were really bad. I could tell they had old meat underneath the new pork ! It was like when you scrape off the bunt pieces off of ur used pan , by far my worst experience. My plate alone was $16 and with my wife it was around $30. Did not receive a receipt neither. I also live out 20 minutes from Early and that was my only Dinner for the night , very disappointing.

Food was pretty good but the lighting was so dim that it made it difficult to read the menus and to see the food. The waitress was very busy and had to wait several tables plus help the bar. The Large Queso wasn’t very large, more like a medium.

Good food and good service, salsa was a little bland but our food was full of flavor. Loved it! Fast service we had a party of 7 and next group to enter was a party of 20, and no delay in our service.

It was nice. Table was clean and not too close to other tables. Service was prompt with food and drink refills. Choice of flour or corn tortillas with this plate. Good portion and good flavor.

First time here and sorry to say, probably my last. But the braised brisket was amazing. For now on I’m going to seek it out when I come to Texas for work because they don’t have it in California. That I know of at least. It was truely special and I see why it’s a house favourite. Oh and Margarita to go! Lovin it.

We've eaten in twice and done take out once. Food was very good all three times! Service is fast and friendly. Gave it 4 stars only because we haven't had a great experience with their desserts.

Went to dinner with four others. They got their food but I did not. Had to flag waitress down snd asked her twice to check on it. Never got my plate. Told her to forget it and when I paid for my drink, she refused to give me my change and said that they round up. Literally refused to give me my change! Said that there was no manager on site for me to talk to about it. Just lost 4 families! So disappointing!

The food here is absolutely delicious! The chicken mole enchiladas and chicken tortilla soup were lovely. But I knocked off two stars because their service was awful. The staff was in a sour mood and they didn’t end up bringing out our last meal. When asked why the meal wasn’t coming out they said they weren’t serving that plate that evening and by that time everyone else was done with their meals. So ordering a new plate took a while. Would’ve been good to know that when ordering. Very odd.

Hot Sauce and chips are good as usual. I went for something different this trip and chose the Molcajete filled with chicken, beef, cactus, shrimp, and cheese. I was a little disappointed. First was the temperature, barley Luke warm and certainly not hot as it should be. Underneath the cold items ontop was an enormous amount of cactus strips, bell peppers, and onions. It was obvious filler to not have to put in more expensive items. There should have been Salsa poured into the middle however, I think the forgot. It was all very dry and over cooked. All the meat was cut into small pieces and hard to find with all the veggies around it. Beans and rice good as usual. The portion was good, flavor was good however execution wasn’t the best. I’ll probably stick with the rest of the menu which has always been very good.

This place is perfectly… reviewed, it’s definitely a 4.5 but I’ll round up to a 5. I was forced to take a detour in brownwood and had a friend who grew up here recommend this place to me. It was delicious, the portion was large, the salsa that came with the chips had a hint of spiciness but wasn’t overwhelming. The French sauce tasted slightly like orange and a bit sweet. I ordered the chicken bacon salad to be… “healthy” and the fajita chicken was flavorful, I didn’t get food poisoning and it was enough for 2 meals. It was sincerely good and that combined with the service which I was very satisfied with makes me want to stop by again if I’m ever in Brownswood. Overall good spot in a small town!

Passing through and stopped for dinner. I had the Birra tacos and my coworker had the quesadillas. The Birra tacos were ok, but I have had better. They were more like normal tacos in the sense that it opened up. I'm use to them being stuck from the cheese on both sides. The rice was good! I've been to a lot of Mexican restaurants where the rice was not worth it. Overall, it was a meal that fulfilled its purpose.

Outstanding food! Interesting service? Waited a while to be seated. Waited a long while for a server to take my drink and food order. They weren't understaffed. There were more workers standing around than there were tables used. But when the service did start, it was fine. The girls were sassy and fun. I guess they just weren't in the mood right away? The my server said she had to argue with the kitchen staff about my tortillas because they thought I had already received some and they didn't want to give me more, but she was telling them I hadn't. Why fight over it? But the food was great. The Itty bitty salsa is a joke and management should be ashamed, but the food is amazing. I'll come back. Just an odd overall experience.

Food is not that tasty. The price of food is not Worth the dish. They charge you to use your debit/credit card. The server was a good server. Chips and salsa is the best.
