This old fire station has new life as a casual coffee house named Common Grounds. Meet here to relax, catch up or just meditate. Breakfast burritos( the bacon one I got was full of bacon. Hard bacon but still ,more than most other places in town will give you ),coffees ,lattes ( they actually look and taste as good as Starbucks except cheaper ). all served here. So if you dont feel like driving way to Early to get your specialty drink fix, stop here. I'm not knockin Starbucks but this place is bigger, cheaper and heck of a lot closer. Parking is plentiful. If you are wheelchair mobile, this place has wide spaces so no worries. Kid friendly. Expect to pay about $10.00 a person for beverage and burrito. Well worth the trip. Drive through moves fast too.

What a fun Coffee House in a restored Historic Firehouse. The atmosphere is happy and the food was delicious! Owners are welcoming & very knowledgeable! There's even an ice cream stand inside the restaurant! Live music is available at times. Staff was courteous & kind. Breakfast & Lunch available.

The food and coffee is excellent. However, the prices are outrageous. They cost more than Starbucks. Starbucks is expensive but it looks cheap compared to the prices here. My coffee was $8! I didn't add any frills to it. Breakfast burrito was $7 and my breakfast was $11. They require a tip on your purchase. I wasn't able to not give a tip. My bill ended up being $40 for breakfast!!!!! I spent less at a Japanese steakhouse than here. The food is very good, but the prices are outrageous! They definitely pushed the cost of the new building onto the customers. I hate to say this because the owners are sweeter than sugar. As much as I love the coffee I will not be returning.

It use to be a Fire House and the owners who bought it did an amazing job remodeling it. There was a line when we got there but they got to everyone quickly. We had breakfast bowls and the food was great. The people were very friendly and the atmosphere was really nice

Very good food and service! Extremely clean. The chicken burrito I ate with the green chili lime sauce. Oh yes, my new favorite! Their smoothies, omg yes they are sooo good. Now that rolled Ice-cream is the best, you have to try the maple pecan. To die for! Keep up the good work owners! Outstanding!😁

Usually when I come to Common Grounds I have a pleasant experience, but today that didn’t happen. The girl that took my order at the window was not friendly at all. She acted like I was bothering her by taking my order and that she was annoyed by working there. I didn’t get my red and green salsa in the bag with my order and didn’t realize it until I got home. I called to speak to a manager and they were unapologetic about my experience with the girl who took my order and not getting my salsa. It made me wonder if this girl was related to the owner or an employee because he didn’t seem to care at all about her unfriendliness. Won’t be going back because I feel like nothing was solved and I wasn’t taken care of as a customer 😐

This place is busy for good reason. You simply can’t find a better food establishment in Brownwood. Their business model will always be successful. That starts at the top and goes all the way down. From fresh food, accuracy of details in orders, timely and courteous customer service, and adequate prices this locally owned restaurant is the ideal place to go. It’s clean and modern on the inside, and fast paced at the drive thru. I recommend the specialty coffees and burritos. I’m not positive but I’m pretty sure the tortillas, salsa, and refried beans are all made from scratch. You won’t be disappointed! Been coming here for a couple years as a regular and I’ve only had 1 mixup on a food order, and the professional management definitely cared and fixed the problem while being apologetic. 6 stars if I could! 👏 well done

Love the new location! As with anything, there could be some improvements made such as the drive thru. The coffee is hit or miss but more often than not it is good. Food has never disappointed and dining in is always a pleasant experience.

Visited from out of town, but was very impressed with the breakfast menu - lots of choices, tasted great, and very generous sizes! Great atmosphere as well! We visited on a Saturday morning and had the opportunity to hear a local musician playing his guitar and singing some great songs! We really enjoyed his music!

This is a nice little coffee shop I visited while on a road trip with my bestie. The coffee shop was nice and had plenty of seating. I loved the old fire truck they had displayed - complete with a plushie Dalmatian sitting in the front seat. The iced latte I had was very nice and the breakfast taco was very good and filling!

Cute small business moving up in the world 🌎 ✨️ from the old varsity cleaners building to the once before fire department which I lived next door to both at one point in time before common grounds came along. Yummy coffee decent coffee with a side of food dishes and a great clean atmosphere. Plus, get a look at how cool their building turned out. 😍

I love this place. Starbucks has nothing on them. Fast and super friendly service. If you go enough they know your name and what you want the second they see your face. Coffee is amazing!!! I've tried several different things wraps are great tacos are great. What really makes this place so wonderful is the customer service I dont feel like a customer but like a friend.

I was so excited to stumble upon this place ! It almost seems like it’s been cherry-picked from a more modern , progressive location in the world . Let’s start with my customer service experience. It was fantastic! The barista was eager to answer all my menu questions, friendly and fast . The menu is great ! Plus it’s full menu ALL the time . The prices are ridiculously low ! I had a bacon bagel sandwich, two cups of coffee and a blueberry muffin for like $11! Awesome atmosphere, great food , excellent service . Definitely will return .

Saturday morning around 9:45 am -We had a Carmel apple cider, pumpkin spice latte, egg and sausage bowl, and a bacon, cream cheese on a toasted bagel.. service was good, prices reasonable and food was good- BOTH of our drinks were excellent!! Get there early, by the time we left at nearly 11 the line was out the door. The building is super cool and the work put into it shows, also has an ice cream bar that opens around 11.

The coffee is great and the food is magnificent!! The decor is super boring and gentrification theme basically on the inside so I put 4 stars I'd put 5 if the decor was less boring. I'm starting to get annoyed at new places opening and having the same target style ambiance it's getting old, even in a firehouse the only thing that reminds you it's a firehouse theme is the literal firetruck in the middle of the store. Sorry to ramble on about that but if you're looking for a great quality breakfast or lunch, go here. They have actual fresh food that isn't deep fried and soaked in grease unlike literally every single restaurant in brown County, but they close at 2:30pm so get there in time!!

My breakfast burrito go to place! We get breakfast here almost weekly. The burritos are always large & delicious plus the staff has always been friendly and professional. We love the bacon, egg & cheese and the brisket & cheese burritos with green salsa! My wife loves their selection of cappuccinos and lattes too.

All of my favorite things here! Coffee, breakfast burritos, and Christian music. Awesome place, wish it didn't close so early. Great indoor and outdoor seating + a drive thru.

Used to be nice, warm, inviting, friendly. The girl who works the window is a deal breaker for me. It’s impossible for her to smile or make eye contact. I message the coffee shop to tell them about this and all they could do is send me some generic automated response. They didn’t care about me so I don’t care about them. Will be driving all the way to early to Starbucks now, because at least I know they’ll smile and be happy to see me, which can really just make your entire day.
