Great place to enjoy walking. There are various trails to follow and maps can be picked up from the view visitor centre in chingford or the visitor centre in high beech. There are 25 fishing lakes within the forest which are all free to fish but you need a rod licence and follow the bylaws. The forest also has a heard of around 150 long horn cattle some of which are out in the forest at chingford plains and fairmead. The view at chingford also sells venison burgers and sausages and very nice beef.

Nice place for a walk or picnic. I don't agree to be charged for car parking.

A magical place, ancient woodlands and lakes, where you can escape traffic, shops, people ... . I walk for hours and hardly see anyone. There are footpaths and walks. I enjoy getting lost- with a compass.

Absolutely stunning with dappled late summer or early morning light. Unbelievable natural attraction so accessible for Northern Londoners and Southern counties alike. Still with free parking and the classic Acorn (Carl's) Tea Hut.

Nice place to chill out or even a walk through the forest, it’s such a shame that the parks Forrest management have started to charge for parking!!
