We were very eager to try this place and the food looked and smelled absolutely delicious. Biggest problem being that we never got to try this. From the start we felt very unwelcome. First we called to get directions because Google maps showed the wrong place and we were told she couldn't help and we had to figure it out ourselves. When we finally found the place she was immediately very distant, even physically and it put a weird atmosphere. Then when I called her over to order she just said that this is not fast food and we might as well go somewhere else if that's what we want. Even though we knew beforehand that it would take time we ended up leaving as we had never before felt so unwelcome in a restaurant. Very unpleasant experience and borderline insulting.

Wow, wonderful experience! Make reservations and block out at least 2 hours to fully enjoy the experience here. Vegetarian and non-vegetarian menus to choose from. The incredible owner also served us. I will remember this dinner forever.

We came for the vegetarian set menu and were really happy with the quality of the food. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was very friendly and helpful. When we went we were the only two there for the entire dinner service. It was extremely quiet and there was no music playing. We almost felt embarrassed to speak above a whisper. I can't speak for what it's like on a busier night so I won't take a star off but perhaps the management could get some music so it's not so awkward for diners on quiet nights.

I discovered this restaurant almost by complete chance and I could not have been luckier. The place is tiny and it looks like a regular house's living room turned into a restaurant. The interior design is just lovely. They serve two menus only, one vegetarian and one not. I had the vegetarian option of which you can see some pictures here and I found it fantastic, imaginative and perfectly cooked. It was also not expensive at all, 27 euros for a 3 courses dinner and dessert. I would have absolutely come back the next day for lunch, had I not had a previous commitment. I very strongly recommend this place, it is a little gem of authenticity in the otherwise quite touristic gastronomic landscape of Bruges

Excellent food. Great service. There is only place for 8 persons. Reservations are possible. Google maps shows the wrong place. It is. The Sint-Salvadorskoorstraat. The menu is Mediterranean with fish, poultry or vegetarian. All was great.

An absolute gem of a restaurant. Quiet, personal and delicious. Everything is cooked to order, everything is fresh. It really is like being in this woman’s living room. So much care is taken. The atmosphere is homely, minimal and calm. As everything is made to order be prepared to take your time to eat. It is a unique, quiet, relaxed pause in the day to savour delicious, loving, home made, just-made food. My partner is a meat eater and I am a vegan. I was astounded that she could also provide me with a 3 course vegan meal with no corners cut. My dessert came freshly made from the oven and was not the sorbet that vegan’s so often get lumped with! After stumbling across De Bühne when looking for vegan restaurant options in Bruges, we were initially surprised by the cozy atmosphere of the place which felt homey from the start due to the wonderful host that made our visit an unforgettable experience. The restaurant serves three menu options: a regular, a vegetarian, and a vegan one with lots of different variations to choose from, making it a truly unique culinary experience. Besides the restaurant itself, the place also offers space for a patisserie with freshly baked goods (vegan options available here as well!). If you are thinking of going here during your stay in Bruges, we can’t recommend it enough!

We went to this hidden gem for lunch. The food was exquisite and the service was great. The lady serving us was super polite and so adorable. We felt very welcome and at first she didn‘t even want to accept the well-deserved tip. We had the exceptional three-course vegan and vegetarian menu and received an amuse-bouche on top for a more than fair price. We recommend going there if you want a great vegan/vegetarian menu, warm-hearted service and a smile on your face!

What an outstanding little restaurant! The food was exquisite, the ambiance soothing and the proprietress charming. I’m thrilled to have stumbled on this place, especially during the busy Christmas market season. I’m glad we were able to snag a table! It was definitely the best meal of the trip.

A unique dining experience in a small, local restaurant. There is great care given to the food served here which is a nice change from our fast food culture. The lady that works here is very attentive and caring to her customers and is passionate about good quality ingredients, which shows in the flavor of the food. It is pricey— you are mostly paying for the love and care that goes into your meal. Everything was very tasty though! Support local <3

The restaurant is amazing. It is located on the other side of the street. (The location is a little bit not correct) You need to just go to the other side of the street. The service - perfect, food is so organic and tasty that I can't even describe it. Highly recommend.

Don't be in a hurry to eat at this restaurant (~1h30-2h), but you really won't be disappointed. The wait is due to the fact that everything is home-made (even the bread) and not in advance. They only start making the dishes after you have ordered. Nothing is microwaved or defrosted, no industrial food. The food is really high quality and so good! There is a whole vegetarian menu with 4 choices of dishes and starters, with more than half available as vegan. It was really delicious, one of the best vegan restaurants I've been to. The lady who works there is really nice and attentive to our needs. The room is small (can accommodate about ten people) so it has the advantage of being very very quiet, which was a plus. I can only recommend it.

Fine dining ... at grandma's There's no music playing, the carpet is old, half of the walls have dark wood shingels on them... and yet.. its worth your time and money What the place lacks due to its dated interior it more then makes up for with a very fine cuisine and very friendly staff The place also caters to/for glutenfree and vegi/vegan guests. There's room for a total of 10 guests, so making a reservation or coming in early is key Ps: the restaurant is wrongly placed on google maps, which made it a little hard to find. But again... worth the extra 5 min. search

This restaurant is definitely a pearl not to miss in Bruges. The food is surprisingly delicate and absolutely delightful. The ingredients are unusual and the taste are very interesting. According to the waitress, all ingredients are organic. In addition the prices are reasonable. The waitress seems concerned about food wasting, so pay attention!

We enjoyed a lovely leisurely lunch in this cozy restaurant close to the St Saviour's church. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, with a real emphasis on fresh and quality ingredients. An absolute gem!

Hidden gem in Brugge ! Warm and cosy, the lady who seems to own the place was very very nice with us, very smily and welcoming. That was our first encounter with Brugge and our trip couldn't have begun better !
