Komtuveu was a fantastic experience for my girlfriend and I. The size of the restaurant's makes it convenient for small groups and couples who are looking for a quiet cozy fine dining experience. The food will surprise your senses (of sight and taste!) Although I can become a bit reluctant in front of fish dish, I would do it a hundred times over at Komtuveu. After your meal, go straight to the "canal" that's 1 minute away for a nice walk :)

We went on a quiet night, hence only 4 for the atmosphere. A lovely venue, beautifully decorated. Excellent service. Fine dining 5 course menu with great Belgian wine pairings. Quite experimental desert - based on parsnip.which was a step too far for us, but we were open to it. Thanks so much. Would definitely go again if we come back to Bruges

We had one of the best meals of our lives at Preus in Bruges. We were told by our host that this restaurant was begun by a chef, Jelle Hinderyckx, that used to have a restaurant with Michelin stars. It’s clear his new restaurant is well on its way to getting a Michelin rating as well. Some highlights include an exquisitely fresh Seabass, superbly cooked and placed atop a mussel risotto. It’s hard to describe how melt-in-the mouth delicious this dish was. The portions were generous, and I ate the whole thing. My husband had a perfectly cooked duck with shallots and green beans. Our dessert was a simple vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce, but you have never tasted vanilla ice cream like this, and the chocolate sauce was to die for. Everything was elevated in terms of quality and preparation. We would travel to Bruges simply to eat at this restaurant.
