I stayed at this hotel during my entire trip in Brunei. This is by far one of the best hotels that I've stayed in in all of Southeast Asia and it is one that I will not forget. The staff have been incredibly friendly throughout the entire journey and the rooms are super comfortable. I also love that on each floor they have water dispensers that dispense both hot and cold water which saves you a lot of time and of course money since you don't have to buy any water bottles. In the lobby you have plenty of places to lounge around and sit and also a nice desk base where you can get some work done. The Internet is also incredibly fast which is a huge plus for someone like myself that works on mine. I also really love the fact that the hotel room had a very good lighting the beds were comfortable and there was outlets with universal switches where you can use USB and connections from US and Europe. They also have a restaurant on the first floor called the yellow cafΓ© which serves incredible breakfast and they also have a large selection on the menu for both lunch and dinner. I also really enjoyed their complementary Airport pick up and drop off service and the best part about this hotel is that all of the landmarks that you're going to be visiting in the city within a five minute walking distance definitely recommend staying at the Brunei hotel.

While not the most modern or luxurious of hotels, the first rate hospitality of staff make this hotel a winner. From airport pickup, to an already waiting reception, this check-in was the fastest and easiest I've experienced. Housekeeping staff are absolutely terrific. The major hotels could learn a lesson or two about service from The Brunei Hotel.

Behold the grandeur of one of Brunei's pioneering hotels, where hot showers are a mere figment of your imagination, and breakfast is an exercise in culinary disappointment (apparently only more than 15 occupants will the cafe serve buffet). Why endure miserable nights here when you could bask in the luxury of a better, newer hotel where even a 2-star establishment can whip up a breakfast worth waking up for?

I stayed at The Brunei Hotel for 2 weeks. The Hotel is beautiful, clean and very well maintained. It is located in downtown area and at walkable distance to the shops and restaurant. There's a water canal opposite to the Hotel and you can get quick rides to the water houses. The hotel staff is very friendly and polite and the Hotel arranges for pickups/drops to the required location (including airport) on request. The hotel also offered complimentary breakfast which was pretty good. All in all its a nice and cosy mid range hotel with a cool staff.

We stayed at The Brunei Hotel for 3 nights. The location is ideal as it is near the destinations within Bandar area. It's a small hotel and it's great value for money. The rooms are nice and clean, bathroom is good. Hotel staff are attentive and courteous. Housekeeping is efficient, they always tidy up our room. Since it's Ramadhan, non-Muslim guests like us were given consideration to have our breakfast beyond 6AM in an enclosed function room.

Nice interconnecting family rooms. Premium looking hotel and helpful staff. They will pay street parking if you give them the ticket placed on your car when you wake up! Great central location a few minutes walk from the major mall in town and few minutes further is the famous waterfront mosque, so pretty much a bang on location for the capital

Have been my 1st choose for accommodation in Bandar. Service and hospitality is good. Location wise within walking distance to the shop lots around Bandar. Sunday morning roadside market nearby as well. Room lighting is nice and cozy for resting. However, would be great to have proper lighting at the working desk, a little dark for working in the room.

Overall we enjoyed our experience there. The location of he hotel is excellent, within a walking distance to some touristic attractions. Staff is friendly, complementary water dispensed, the beds are very comfortable and the rooms are clean. I'm not giving 5 stars because we called reception to ask for new towels and they never arrived, and because the sound is not very well isolated. I would definitely repeat in the same hotel, highly recommended.

The hotel is good in central business area in Brunei, rooms are good and staff is very helpful. Food is good and if you want you can enjoy local food nearby places. I enjoyed my trip and it's very near to kampong water village. They have free shuttle service in morning and evening. I enjoyed my trip to Gadong night market which they have free shuttle

The staff here very friendly, the Viet Namese girl at the front desk that checked us in is so sweet. She made sure everything we needed was for us. The breakfast was good, we had the American breakfast. The dinner was excellent except my ribeye steak was too thin, hard to cook medium rare. The hotel has a smoking area with tables and umbrellas. We will stay there again next yr.

Right in the centre of where you want to be in Bandar. I walked out of the hotel, crossed the road and within seconds had found a boat to take me around Kampong Ayor. Rooms are a bit dark. The attached restaurant, which appears to be a separate business, is not so good.

It's a nice place with friendly people. But there is an annoying sound of motor with frequent intervals which bothers U to have goodnight sleep πŸ’€

The lobby is really nice, the rooms a little old. Nothing specifically but close to city center. Everything was clean.

We stayed at β€˜The Brunei Hotel’ that located in the city center. Close to most of the main attractions within an easy walking distance. The boutique style hotel offer the comfortable stay, in-house cafe, and variety choice of food

It's ok for if you are one night stand in blind. The rooms are good. Very poor WiFi. It just comes and goes in few seconds. I even couldn't use my emails properly. The staff (manager) wasn't friendly enough to deal with customer's issues instead he challenged and blamed me that I didn't know to use the system. Most of the time-delayed my room service requests. It's simply ignorance. I wish not to come back again and I don't recommend it to my colleagues too. Rather spend a few extra $$ and go to good ones.

Location is relative to one's itinerary. In this case it's suitable for what needed doing. WiFi was easy to connect when it was running, but speed was disappointing as was the unstable connection.

Stayed here for one night. The Hotel is very nice, very clean, well air condition, new furniture, friendly staff. Perfect if you are bringing your family with you. Make sure you get the more spacious room as most of the room in this hotel is small. Overall, great hotel to stay!

Old, 4 storey hotel. Well maintained and upgraded. Old school staff with marvellous service. Great place for a relaxed and stress-free stay. Many food joints and some shops. Definitely not a holiday hotspot. Just a quiet, pleasant place.
