Super yummy food and fruit stalls. The smell of barbecue is quote strong and nice. Prices are cheap and you get a ton of options. There were lots of empty spaces for stalls so I'm not sure if there's usually more. But still most of the tables were full so it was hard to find a seat. But overall, great experience would definitely recommend.

Very lively night market, lots of food and fruit stores. Try durian and tompoi fruits. Local people here are very friendly. Clean and really a nice place to spend time during holiday trip in Brunei.

Selling local food and snacks. Usually home-made taste. Always make it a point to visit this market whenever in town. Dress light, and expect a smokey (due to bbq) environment.

A must visit when in Gadong. A relaxed, easy market to wander around. Most staff holders are friendly and patient with tourists. Great selection of food choices.

Not a big place, but you will get to eat local food here. The stalls sell pretty much similar stuff. Pricing is good, with most items going for a dollar. Great that the place provide seats for diners to enjoy the food there and then. Within the market, you can also find stores selling fresh fruits. Overall quite a good place to visit if you wish to enjoy local delights.

It reminds me of Texas where these iron donkeys looks like a thirsty bird sipping water if you are looking at it from a distance standing from the monument. These funny looking odd thing actually pumps and draws oil underneath the earth and by that thing the billionnth barrel comes in.

Located next to Gadong mall, it is an interesting place to try local food. Everything is inexpensive and they have a lot of variety from barbecue meat dishes to snacks and fresh fruits. There also has several tables where you can have your meal.

A very vibrant night market that has a wonderful mix of food. We tried food from three different stalls and all of it was tasty. The locals are really inviting and helpful. All the prices were fair, with a lot of them being posted. Very good location for tourists as it felt like no one was trying to take advantage of us. Great spot

Place is clean. I loved the cendul which is different from the ones I eat in Malaysia due to generous use of sago. Large selection of food. The nasi katok with the various sambal is also unique.

Street food under a root, at low cost, spacious and airy. However, limited siting capacity, might be better if you pack the food for take away. The variety may be limited but surely is tasty, so if you are looking for specific type of food (eg, Japanese, Western, etc), you may be disappointed. But if you are the type that will eat any local dishes that are available, then this is the place. Good experience, to be immersed in the local scenes.

The billionth barrel monument is the sign of my comfortable life in Brunei, an abode of peace, a country rich in oil & gas. To get there from the international airport takes approximately 2 hours drive through a road named muara-tutong highway. It is a non-scenic route but faster. Otherwise, one may use the old narrower roads if one wishes to observe more the urban houses along the way. One of the higlight is to see the burning torch of oil high in the skyline from the oil & gas plants that will be passed by on the way to the monument. It gives one a goosebump, the rich black gold, the historic fossils , in its raw form from mother earth to us. The monument will be a quick stop as it is a monument alone. However, nearby a OGDC oil & gas discovery centre is a unit of interactive display & learning centre on oil & gas. Next to OGDC is a cinema showing hollywood english films and a bowling place. The monument itself is built right on the seaside wall overlooking the south china sea. And in the horizon one can see an oil field platform.

Food is cheap and tasty! Area is clean enough. Great for Friday and Sunday nights. Most places start closing at 20:30, so don’t wait too long for dinner.

The whole market is an experience to be had. Multiple stalls selling various types of foods. It is not very big. And I didn't see anyone taking card payment. So take cash with you. The food is varied with each stall giving its own touch. I can't really comment on most of the food there as I just had one meal. However, it is all freshly made there. There are also fruit and vegetable sellers. The prices are ofcourse alot lower than you would pay in shops. Great atmosphere. Fast paced.

Popular for travelers, good place for jogging, taking pictures and wedding photoshoot. On the beach side you can jogging and walking. The wind sometimes smooth and windy. Good place for chill and looking for sunset. Renovation has been done this month. Have a look...

Affordable street food starting $1. Ranging from local delicacies to beverages to assorted fruits, including cheap durian. Try some Satays, fried snacks and people are very friendly here. A must visit tourist attraction in the country.

This is a must-visit for all visitors coming to Brunei! The food is remarkably delicious and cheap, the atmosphere and energy is really something to experience, and the merchants are very friendly - especially towards tourists, since this market is absolutely not a "tourist market", this is a real night market that is a true gem of Brunei culture. Throughout its 2 main open-air rows of shops, you can find a variety of food and drinks, including local fruits like durians, tarap, and cempedak, local drinks like teh tarik, ABC, and local sodas, and of course local foods, ranging from Malay to Japanese, Korean, and Chinese influenced dishes, as well as some you can only get in Brunei (do your research ahead of time to find the local dishes and see if you can get them here, you probably can!). The meals range from "roti john" to satay to nasi lemak to mie goreng to all sorts of fried fish and other meats, and with so much variety I even recommend coming back here on multiple nights if you get the chance. I doubt there is a tastier, cheaper, and more authentic place to get dinner anywhere else in town than here at the night market. Final notes: there is lots of parking, lots of hand wash stations, and mostly ample seating. The market is not walled so the temperature is actually quite nice inside.

This was the best night market we found while in Brunei. There are a large variety of food options and tons of drink options. Prices are relatively inexpensive. The market is crowded but not to the extent that it’s difficult to get around. The fried bread was particularly delicious as were the fried bananas with honey.

Lots of street food providers, in a large covered market. Very good food standards avoiding cross contamination, and all food cooked from cold to hot quickly. All tables washed down as soon as people leave them.

Worth visiting. A famous tourist spot within Bandar Seri Begawan, Gadong area. Lots of food stalls to choose from. Has plenty of hand washing areas. When dinning in its better to chose a table at either ends of the market for it could be a bit smokey inside and majority of the tables are located at the either ends of the market. The Mall Gadong is just nearby

This beautiful Monument, The Billionth Barrel Monument, stands at Seria, Brunei, since 1991, commemorating the production of the billionth barrel of oil produced in the onshore oil field in Seria. The monument is located near the S-1, the first well discovered in Seria Oil Field. The well was discovered by Brunei Shell Petroleum in 1929. Visit the beautiful country Brunei, rich in oil with modern world class facilities and beautiful lush green country side, blue waters of the surrounding seas. It is indeed enthralling experience. Good luck.

No idea what to eat? Then just come here, huge selection of food to choose from. Bring plenty of cash, you will probably spend more than you intend to. Only down side is too much repetitions, an example is since the craze is currently nasi katok kambing by one vendor, now 3-4 vendor follows. Still a very good place to just go and decide on the spot what to eat.

Gadong night market is a popular spot in Brunei for cheap and delicious street food. It's located in the capital city of Bandar Seri Begawan and opens every night from around 6 pm until late. Visitors can find a wide variety of local delicacies, such as satay, grilled seafood, noodles, and desserts. The atmosphere at Gadong night market is bustling and lively, with many vendors offering their goods and services. It's a great place to experience the local culture and interact with the friendly people of Brunei. Overall, it's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and looking for a fun and tasty night out.

Affordable street food with variety. Came on a Friday night at 7.30pm and a few stalls were not open (satay stall) or had already sold out. Some of the food took really long to be served to us. We bought a few things from different stalls and we only managed to start eating after 9pm.
