Jame' Asr Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque (Malay: Masjid Jame' Asr Hassanil Bolkiah) is a mosque in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei. Quick stop for a photo op with our tour excursion! As beautiful as it looks outside, I'm sure the interior would be just as beautiful. Not much time to see the mosque, but the pictures speak of volumes!

The mosque is very beautiful and has a unique architecture. The tomb is made of real gold. It's a free entrance and there will be a rob provided to cover yourself before entering the mosque. It is best if you go in the morning as there will be less people and by 3-4pm the mosque will be closed for tourists.

Very unique, beautiful, interesting place to visit! It is good to take guide who will explain how it was built and what significance of this Mosque. Love detailed decorations, mosaic walls, golden chandlers and fountains. There is clothes provided to go in. Also there is locker to keep your belongings. Can take pictures only on ground floor of the Mosque, on upper floors not allowed. It will be closed on Fri for visitors and some other days of the big Muslim holidays. This is first Mosque I visited that have separated praying room for women from men's praying hall.

Architecturally beautiful building, the interior and surrounding gardens are extremely well maintained. A long coat will be provided for the ladies and shoes are to be removed prior to entry. Well worth your time.

I am very impressed with the architecture here! The cathedral is open to the public. On Fridays and Sundays, tourists are not allowed inside. because those two days are Muslim days of prayer.

My favourite place to stop for prayers. The mosque is surrounded by a beautiful garden and fountains, giving a calming aura. The building is fused by Intricate designs of Islamic geometrical patterns, carved Arabic calligraphy, and marbled tiles. You can't take photos inside (24/7 CCTV) but you can take as much as you can outside. Shoes must be taken off upon entering the mosque. The ablution area is cool. The pipes are automated. You just sit on the seating position and the sensor detects that and water begins to flow down for your ablution. Women's prayers area can be entered from the back - it's upstairs.

Beautiful mosque, amazing inside-outside design, a must see in Brunei. Take notice of the times when tourists are allowed to visit.

Beautiful mosque in Brunei. Worth visiting for non Muslims. They give you a cloak with a hood to wear to cover your arms and legs. He said it was up to us if we wanted to put the hood up. I thought that was nice of the gentleman at the front desk to say. It's a lovely decorated place of worship. You leave your shoes outside and go barefoot. It is free to enter, you complete your details in a book at the front.

Went for Maghrib and Isha Salah. The architecture, design, and just quality of this place is mind-blowing. I have been to many Masajid. Not many others have given me that 'wow' feeling when I opened the doors to the main hall. How can I describe it best, It looks a bit like the palace in Aladdin. Just beautiful. Mashallah.

Majestic, clean mosque, foreigners need to wear headscarf for ladies and long pants for men to enter inside the compound

One of the most beautiful mosques in Southeast Asia that I have visited. Brunei has a serene and peaceful atmosphere, which is accentuated when you enter this mosque. The well-maintained lawns, greenery, and overall design of the mosque makes you feel as though you have drifted back in time, into a world that may now exist only in books. Irrespective of your faith, standing underneath it's vaulted domes and with the beautiful verses of the Quran in Arabic etched all around, you feel both miniscule and at the same time one with all of God's creations.

We went to this beautiful Masjid! The entrance is free and you get clothing to walk around inside. You have to register first but the people who are "guarding" the entrance are really kind and happy to see others having an interest in the visit. One person even gave us more information about the praying hall. You also have to walk outside of the Masjid as you get the best views of the mosque. I really liked this one!

Amazing mosque with beautiful design elements, it was a very enjoyable experience. If you are not dressed appropriately or don't have the right clothes, the mosque will lend you a robe to wear which is very helpful.

Lovely mosque. Visit on Dec2022,still having some restoration on one of their minaret. Prayer time sharp as per schedules. Cold inside but cant beat coldness of Mosque Omar Saifuddin. Very beautiful especially on night when the lamps surrounding it enhace the vibe and aura of prestiges mosque in the world.

This place is really beautiful. I especially loved the garden around it, it felt like an oasis. They do let tourists in, and you'll be given dark robe to stay over your clothes. Also no photos in the first above ground floor.

Although this mosque is lower on most lists of top places to see in Bandar than the iconic Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque located downtown, to me this mosque is not only the highlight of all the beautiful sights to see in Bandar, but it is one of the finest works of architecture and design I have ever seen. Although non-muslims are not allowed to enter the prayer rooms (this is very common and understandable), non-muslims can freely tour throughout the mosque during hours where it is open to the public. It is truly one of the most regal, decadent, and beautiful buildings in all of South East Asia in my opinion! For a real treat, explore it quickly within a little while before it closes - the mosque is mostly empty, and you'll be able to explore all of its beauty without distraction.

One of the most beautiful mosque I’ve visited. The details of the walls are just awesome. There are lots of parking spaces and also parks where one could just hang and walk around. Definitely a must visit when you visit Brunei.
