3/5 Pinay in Borneo Ask M. 5 years ago on Google
It's
one
of
the
national
jungle/trekking
park
of
Brunei,
in
Borneo
island.
It's
popularly
called
"jewel
of
unexpected
treasure"
.
To
go
there,
one
has
to
book
thru
a
tour
agent
as
entry
requires
a
permit
issued
by
the
Forestry
department
for
safety
reasons
for
both
visitors
and
the
national
park.
Trip
involves
a
river
trip
on
a
local
"speed
boat"
from
the
capital
city
,
it
takes
like
45
minutes
to
reach
Bangar
town
where
a
continuing
short
drive
to
the
river
bank
to
take
a
"long
boat",
it's
a
traditional
wooden
boat
crafted
by
the
locals
called
"iban".
These
iban
are
a
tribe
migrant
from
malaysia
to
brunei.
They're
formerly
the
headhunters
of
the
jungle.
The
long
boat
trip
takes
like
another
30
minutes
to
reach
the
entrance
to
register
entry
with
a
b$5
fee.
So
the
activity
involves
trekking
through
a
walk
on
a
pathway
leading
to
a
climb
of
an
aluminium
ladder
of
sort
until
one
reaches
the
"canopy
walk"
which
is
the
horizontal
walk
from
one
end
to
the
other
end,
wherein
one
can
enjoy
the
view
of
the
top
of
the
trees
canopy.
The
forest
has
hornbill
birds,
crocodile,
snake,
giant
ant
,
centipede
,
bettles
,
etc.
At
the
end
of
the
sweaty
forest
walk,
is
the
option
to
have
a
dip
or
swim
in
the
forest
or
a
walk
to
a
pool
where
small
fishes
will
nibble
on
one's
foot's
dry
skin.
An
overnite
cottage
owned
by
the
government
but
operated
by
a
private
tour
company
is
also
available
for
those
who
wishes
to
experience
a
night
walk
in
the
jungle.
