No visit to Brunei is complete without a visit to this national park. I booked a day trip via the tour agency called Freme and everything was seamless from start to finish. View the beautiful vast rainforest from the canopy walk towers; you’ll be in awe! But you will need some level of physical fitness, as there are 700-800 steps to climb to reach the canopy walk, and then you’d have to climb up 42 metres of scaffolding before you are rewarded with awesome views. You can book a day tour via Freme / BorneoGuide. They’ll also take you to visit some waterfalls. My day trip costed me 155 BND under Freme at time of writing.

Stunning! Beautiful scenery. Was very surprised that you can find such a peaceful and pristine jungle so close to an international airport (1h15 drive). The longboat ride and canopy walk were a very unique and enjoyable experience. Booked tour via Borneoguide and everything was smooth

A very beautiful place, well worth visiting if you are staying in Brunei. I did a tour with Borneo Guide which took me on a boat to Sumbaling Eco Village, where I was served an array of delicious food & refreshments, before taking another boat up river to climb up in to the rainforest & climb the viewing platform, high up in The tree canopies. Sumbaling Eco Village is a beautiful spot on the river where you can stay in huts. The hosts were fabulous, as was my tour guide Kenny.

A must visit place if you're coming to Brunei. I went to this place via the Freme Team. The journey to the park is via boat ride which is really incredible. There will be a little hiking needed so be ready to bring water to keep yourself hydrated. The canopy walk and the suspension bridge is really awesome. There will be 4 huts for the pit stop. Overall, the best experience you can have.

Stunning national park. Only accessible by long boat. Being surrounded by forest was very relaxing.

Best place to visit in Brunei by far. You take a boat to the resort, which is an experience in itself. Once you have travelled up the rapids, you can rest at the resort or take a hike up to the canopy walk. This is a once in a lifetime experience, and the view from the top is breathtaking. You can also go tubing on the river, or visit a small waterfall nearby. Guests are able to book into the hotel and stay overnight, or alternatively they can travel back the same day by river boat. Incredible day out - would definitely recommend spending the money to experience it.

River trip and raftings are quite common. However, Ulu Temburong National park is not crowded with tourists. The quiet & peaceful jungle add serenity to an awesome ride on long-boat to the Canopy Walk. The climb through the muddy jungle track is raw fun. The top of Canopy walk offers a breathtaking 360deg view of the primary jungle. It's calm is so surreal. The tour guides are sincerely helpful and well mannered. An unforgetable & safe day trip for the family.

A great place to be in one with nature. Boat rides,Tubing, kayaking and walking on Canopies through a beautiful rainforest. There’s also a little waterfall that has fish swimming around it that gives you a free foot spa. 😁

If you ever visit Brunei. This is a place you need to be to have a complete adventure. You need not be fit to do the hike, but you’ll definitely need to overcome your fear of height when you climb the canopy walk. The longboat ride into the park is rather unique experience and the river tubing downstream is pretty interesting too! You need to use a local tour agency to get to the park, I would recommend AZ Back to Nature agency. The journey from the city is about 1.5 hours.

It's one of the national jungle/trekking park of Brunei, in Borneo island. It's popularly called "jewel of unexpected treasure" . To go there, one has to book thru a tour agent as entry requires a permit issued by the Forestry department for safety reasons for both visitors and the national park. Trip involves a river trip on a local "speed boat" from the capital city , it takes like 45 minutes to reach Bangar town where a continuing short drive to the river bank to take a "long boat", it's a traditional wooden boat crafted by the locals called "iban". These iban are a tribe migrant from malaysia to brunei. They're formerly the headhunters of the jungle. The long boat trip takes like another 30 minutes to reach the entrance to register entry with a b$5 fee. So the activity involves trekking through a walk on a pathway leading to a climb of an aluminium ladder of sort until one reaches the "canopy walk" which is the horizontal walk from one end to the other end, wherein one can enjoy the view of the top of the trees canopy. The forest has hornbill birds, crocodile, snake, giant ant , centipede , bettles , etc. At the end of the sweaty forest walk, is the option to have a dip or swim in the forest or a walk to a pool where small fishes will nibble on one's foot's dry skin. An overnite cottage owned by the government but operated by a private tour company is also available for those who wishes to experience a night walk in the jungle. Please visit my review on other tourist attraction in Brunei like the water village and the billionth barrel monument.

Located in the Temburong district, at a 2h trip from BSB, the Ulu Temburong National Park was the first to be created in Brunei. It's made of pristine and untouched forest, with no human settlements. To access it one can take a speed boat from BSB to Bangar, then a car to Batang Duri and finally a longboat to the entrance of the park. As far as we were told, it's only possible to visit with a local guide, who can be arranged through the licensed agencies. It is possible to spend one night in one resort, which by the way was fully booked by His Majesty the Prince, the day we went there. One of the activities available is the canopy walk, at an impressive 40 to 60m height. There are also waterfalls, one particularly coveted due to the "spa fish" (we believe them to be sand diggers - Garra borneensis). As for the fauna, we did see a kingfisher, rajah brooke birdwing butterflies, ants and other bugs. There are other animals that can be spotted at precise locations and different times of the day, like pythons, gybons, squirrels, cats and fresh water crocodiles.

What an amazing park! A day trip excursion has to be booked as tourists cannot enter the park by themselves! You get to climb 600 meters to the top of a canopy walkway overlooking the jungle! If that’s not enough, the journey to get there from bandar ser bagawan is well worth it in and of itself! I highly recommend Feme travel agency based in the city for this trip.

(Translated by Google) Jurassic Park! Bandar Seri Begawan left with a boat that they call the 'coffin'. After an hour's flight over the water, I landed on a bus and finally arrived in Ulu Temburong. The resort base is organized as it should be. I go up with other people on a canoe, life jacket on. Let's go. The water is shallow and fast flowing, only trees, trees and noises around it. He stops in place to put his signature under the eyes of two forest rangers. Then we start again and we get to the beautiful. You start walking into the forest, it is not difficult because there are many wooden stairs perhaps to protect the ecosystem. You get to the top. There is a high walkway, you go up and wow from there you can see the Forest. Fantastic, exciting, to scream. On the way back they make us walk in a waterfall full of tiny fish, all crazy about pedicures. Return to the resort, buffet lunch served on the veranda. I return to Bandar with a happy heart, I met his Majesty the Forest. (Original) Jurassic Park!

This remote national park has some of the most pristine jungle in all of Borneo. The only way to get here is via a boat (and a water taxi to Bangar). The highlight of the park is the canopy tower.

(Translated by Google) Ultumbron National Park is on the eastern side of Brunei. You cannot go unless you apply for the tour. A one-day tour with lunch and transportation costs around 10,000 yen, so it is a must-visit tourist spot. On the tour I participated in, a minibus picked me up at a major hotel in the capital Bandar Seri Begawan around 8 am and went straight to the boat stop. There, we board a boat, pass through Malaysia for a moment, and spend about an hour on the eastern side of Brunei, where the national park is located. From there, I took a minibus to the back of the jungle. After having lunch, we went trekking in the national park, looked at the jungle from above, stopped at the basin where the doctor fish was, and then kayaked down the river. There are many insects and plants that I have never seen in the national park. The building with a view of the jungle from above is a bit scary like a scaffolding on a construction site, but it's a pretty valuable experience. Kayaks get very wet, so changing clothes is essential. Also, you may not need to bring your smartphone as it will be out of service. Rest assured that after all activities, you will be sent to the hotel properly. If you find it helpful, I would be grateful if you could like it.

Fantastic national park, its so nice to see the jungle around here being conserved, especially after going to Malaysia and seeing the extent of deforestation for palm oil. The resort itself consists of a jungle walk uphill which will be a struggle for the elderly or those with disabilities, butt here are plenty of rest stops along the way. The canopy walk can appear quite daunting as it is essentially a 60m high piece of scaffold, but does provide some great views across the park. The river and waterfalls in the area are great to explore, and all the tour companies that run out of the park are lovely and helpful. Would recommend a visit to anyone in the area.
