A fantastic overnight stay and experience from start to finish! We were collected from our hotel in BSB promptly and driven to the jetty where they clearly and kindly explained what we would experience for the next day. They made sure we were onto the boat happily and explained/described our guide who would be meeting us off the boat. As described our delightful guide met us off the boat and took us for some food at a tasty Indian place before driving us to the village. We checked in and got to enjoy a couple hours relaxing in our space and wandered about the village communal areas. The cabin is wonderful. Simple with thoughtful touches and most comfortable. We enjoyed a delicious dinner where they accommodated our vegetarian diet. After food we enjoyed a night time jungle walk, where it was clearly explained what we would need to wear and bring (make sure to take a torch with you!). The night time walk was accompanied by a local from the Iban tribe and we spotted so much, even in the slight rain! Afterward we had great fun playing a blow dart competition! We slept very well with fans to keep us cool initially (although we turned them off in the night for it being so cool, cue the lovely blankets provided) and the sound of the river and animals to send us to sleep! The next day we started with another delicious meal, some relaxing again and a walk through the rainforest. Almost 4 hours of exploring and learning from the local tribesman and guide. We loved it! Time for a swim in the river and a shower before yet another fantastic meal (lunch was our favourite) more relaxing before we returned to BSB in the same attentive and informative manner as we had arrived. An experience we will never forget and we hope to be back some day soon for more!

What a experience and how stunning it is... this is just like a little secret gem where you can deeply dive in the nature and enjoy the natural noise to wake you up every mornings. The one day tour in Ulu Temburong national park is a must join tour here. You can’t miss it... many people recommended three days to visit Brunei, but for us, one week is still too short in Sumbiling Eco village. Strongly recommended to those nature lovers!

Superb experience. This charming eco village is the perfect place to unwind from the city life. Relax, chill in the hammock by the river while listening to the sound of nature and watching sunset… good times. Thank you to Fikri and Uni who have been excellent hosts.

We did not stay overnight but our day trip to ulu Nationalpark started here. Great guide, we left at around 9 and bet all the other groups being all alone at the canopy walk. Lunch was great and a really relaxt place.

Last minute we booked 3 days 2 night at Semilang and it is super! Great from the start, with flexible and fast organizing with whats-app. Delicious food, really good chef in the kitchen. And also the very social Vikri who takes care of you with the trips but also around the resort.

A review of two halves. Sumbling provided a beautiful location, super relaxed atmosphere and access to Bruneian rainforest with some activities. A one day/night package cost us BND$225 pp, and got us a cute cabin, three meals, a short night walk, an epic canopy walk and some nibbling fish at a waterfall 👣 oh, and the cabin feels almost cold at night so don't worry. We did leave feeling relaxed and with some good honest time to ourselves, but: the night walk was a bit short and barely in the jungle (don't expect to see much more than insects and frogs) - you'll do better in Mulu. The meals were a little meagre, no desserts and no meat replacements (just less food). Not massive issues, but at the cost are worth mentioning - you get much better value for money across the border in Malaysia for a similar experience.
