A plain and simple hotel in a prime location. Everything worth seeing is very easy to reach on foot. The breakfast was very tasty, varied and sufficient. The room is clean and spacious. There is also a kettle. The bathroom is simple but still has everything you need. The pool isn't very big, but it's enough to cool off. The staff was always friendly and helpful. I can only recommend it for the price.

Clean, comfortable, safe hotel for our family holiday. The breakfast buffet has a wide selection to suit all tastes. The staff are all very friendly, polite and helpful. The hotel just 15 minutes walk into the centre of town including the mosque and museum. We would definitely stay here again.

To be fair, 95% of Brunei’s hotel are all outdated. It may be good enough for locals but not at all for seasoned travellers. Especially based on its asking price compared to neighbouring countries. International speaking, the bedroom of this hotel is equivalent to at best, a 2 stars (Like many others). Overall, it was not a comfortable stay despite an excellent service. This is the second best area to stay in Brunei with a small eco mall nearby and a small foodie’s night market during weekends. You can walk to the main mosque in city center connected by a bridge for about 15 mins+ IF you are willing to walk through a cemetry forest. Otherwise walking on the expressway is dangerous as it has no proper pedestrian traffic and walkway. Private driver tour services are available. 🌿 HIGHLIGHTS ✯ Generous Breakfast Buffet The buffet is as a good as a lunch. Aside from basic breakfast and fruits, they offer snacks, porridge, noodles, fried rice, meat, vegetables and soup! My favourite is the crispy sugary puffs with a dash of condensed milk 😍. ✯ Free Airport Pickup & Drop Off Less than 10 minutes ride away from Airport. Thank you so much for this complimentary service which makes us feel remembered. Especially when my flights are so late at night. ✯ A Quiet Sleep There is nothing much to do in Brunei. I slept like a snorlax on most days.. 🌿 DOWNSIDE • Dirty Pool If not for the pool, I would have stayed in city center. However the pool was greenish and looks unsafe to swim in. After informing the reception, they did clean it the next day but it’s still dirty. I did not use the pool at all. • Housekeeping Standards Toilet bowl hole was filled with yellow stains and it smells. Please get a proper toilet brush. The housekeeping button lights up only if card was insert which means we need to be home. Staying for a week, my room was only cleaned once because of this. Unfortunately, it wasn’t even a proper cleaning. The staff only changed the towel and top up teas. Internationally, housekeeping is done when we are away. Hotels will sweep + mop + change bedsheet (once a week) + sanitise the desk & bedside tables. • Uncomfortable Bed & Pillows Pillow is so low quality that it is not acceptable, it is super flat and has stains. Bed is springy and hard to sleep on. Quilt cover has so much studs. As a single person, combining 2 pillows was not enough as a cushion. • Wardrobe There isn’t a lower shelf to place clothes. I did not end up using the wardrobe at all. • Old TV Non smart TV which can only watch local shows. • Dark Room Bedroom does not have ceiling lights, only floor & bedside lamps. It feels so gloomy… • Shower Water Floods The shower water easily floods outside the enclosed glassdoor. My floor mat was completely wet on the first day. The drainage seems to be stuck and clears so slowly.

Pros: Very friendly and patient shuttle bus driver. Check-in was good. Darren the manager was super helpful in arranging tours as a solo traveler so I did not have to pay for a minimum of two persons. Staff also helped me find a gym and arrange a taxi. I suggest anyone coming to Brunei to use DART which is much cheaper than a taxi. The negative review is mainly for condition of the room and staff's response. Cons: 1. Upon check-in the phone, television and safe did not work. There was also a very visible and large dirt ring in the sink. Maintenance fixed the phone and television the first night. I cleaned the dirt ring. The room in general was dirty with hair on the floor and a general feel of neglect. I asked for another room but was told they were sold out. Bed was hard and pillows flat. I'm a 155cm and if I scooted down bit my feet dangled off the bed because the twins beds are short and uncomfortable. 2. Second day: I noticed the desk lamp did not work. Staff fixed it. 3. Third day:. I went downstairs to report that my television and phone did not work again. I waited an hour for maintenance before going down stairs again. to be told that maintenance had left for the day. I was upset noone told me. The receptionist said she tried calling me but I didn't answer the room phone. The phone doesn't work! So, how could I answer? I also, had the same issue calling the front desk with no answer because again, the phone isn't working. In addition, a guest left a dirty plate on the table near the elevators and it was there 3 days later. I finally reported it to have it removed. It was ignored all that time. Fourth day: Woke up to a very large dead roach in my room. Wrote an email to the manager. Waited an hour for a response before going downstairs to request maintenance again. Maintenance removed the roach, fixed the tv, phone and safe. The last night: felt something crawling on my leg in bed. It was a winged bug. I killed it and several others before going downstairs to report it to staff because the phone was ringing but no-one answered which means the phone wasn't working again. Staff came up to spray the room. I was told the bugs are attracted to light and came in from the rain. Finally, they asked if I wanted another room but it was late evening and I didn't feel like moving when I was leaving early the next morning. Maintenance said the phone was working but if it worked then the front desk would have answered when I called. With all these issues the staff had a very nonchalant attitude about it which angered me. I write this because I canceled a stay at another hotel based on the positive reviews of this hotel. If tours and transportation is your main reason for staying then it is five stars. If you need a comfortable, clean room with responsive staff. Then choose another hotel.

Very grateful to the hotel for their kind arrangement of complimentary airport transfers even though I booked the hotel at a very last minute. The room was reasonably spacious, decent, clean and certainly worth the price. Breakfast was available at B8.80 per person.

I had a great stay at badiah hotel, everything is in order, well, clean. They offer conplimentary airport pick-up and drop off. Even my flight was delay, but they still happy and show their hospitality to pick up us at a later time. Do email them before about flight number and time for arrangement. The location is great as its near to many nice restaurants and supermarket. Highly recommend!

Nice place in Brunei to stay. Need some changes like more channels to watch on TV. Need Laundry machines, there is no Dhobi around the hotel. Nice and clean good customer service.

A Great Choice of hotel! automatic van service will give you an excitement. The room is big like 35 sqm. smells very clean. Easy hot and cold shower, very nice CR. buffet breakfast is halal certified since, Brunei is a Muslim country. Get going around the city is difficult, must have book a package tour before you get here to NO hassle of hopping a cab to go to different destination. Seek an advise for a travel agent. Go to compare.

The hotel staff are incompetent, especially the 'manager' Darren. They're not very helpful at all when you ask them questions or request help in something. The hotel hallways smell, the tv in the room is tiny and does not play English content (except for 1 channel). The bathroom was mouldy and the hot water in the shower ran out after 5 minutes of use. The buffet breakfast was very low quality. Free airport transfer is a positive.

Strategic location. No deposits. No tourist tax. The check in and check out process is fast. Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff friendly Breakfast is simple but delicious. There is a refrigerator, hairdryer, prayer mat, iron and ironing board in the room

This is a good hotel that has the minimum a traveler needs for a vacation. The main thing that makes this hotel good is its location. You can walk to the city's main mosque, Masjid Omar Ali Saifuddien, the main symbol of Islam in Brunei. Yes, you'll have to run across the road a couple of times, but there's not the kind of traffic here for that to be a problem. The hotel staff kindly arranged our transfer to the airport, we didn't worry about cab problems. The cab from the airport to the hotel cost us 25 local dollars. From the minuses of the hotel: too expensive laundry service. 40 local dollars. For the same amount of clothes in Bali we paid no more than 70 thousand rupiah. This is outrageous, given that they do not wash in the hotel, but have a contract with a local laundry. Another disadvantage was the shower room, from which water spilled out through a loose door onto the floor. The last minus was that in addition you can not ask for a dry towel, so if you took a shower in the morning, then with this wet towel you live until cleaning.

Overall, we had a great stay at the hotel. Rooms - are okay, the rooms are not spotless but it is clean and doesn’t have a lingering smell. The bath is also okay, and the showers can get hot enough for you. They provide water, coffee and tea on a daily basis and they have a water heater and a refrigerator on the room. They also have a flat iron if you need one, inside the room. Breakfast - Good but limited options. The food selections are: Chicken, Rice, Noodles, Soup, Bread and Cereal. It is good but, one can get tired of a bit for longer stay. Service - the staff are great and will help you with gusto, in your concerns. Location - there is a mall nearby, a supermarket, bakery, a Jollibee and a lot more. There’s also a weekend night market that happens near the hotel.

Requested for a room near to elevator because being told by a friend surrounding is too noisy especially at night. The hotel located next to highway. But, upon checkin, i got the last room of the floor. It. Yes...it is too noisy, car racing probably. Stay for 5 nights. Can you imagine that. That makes me frustrated with the service.

Free transfer good (despite a fairly long wait for another passenger.) Room large. Room safe fixed after complaints. Pool on 2nd floor ok but in a noisy location, next to road. Breakfast with normal selection. Staff helpful with taxi booking. Negative: No specific pool towels and channels on tv really bad. Only 2 in English. In house food 2 options, night food market close by as well as many restaurants. Also a large supermarket close by.

The Hotel offers free airport pick up and drop off. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Check in and check out was fast. Room is very clean , bed are comfortable. I am very happy staying here.

I stayed at the hotel last night, paying $124, and had a very disappointing experience. It was not worth the money at all. Here are some of the issues I encountered: - The pillows had a bad smell, and the furniture was very old. - The washbasin was clogged. - The internet connection was incredibly slow (1-2 Mbps). Despite calling for assistance, nobody came to my room. - Breakfast was also terrible.

I only give this 3 stars because when you connect to the wifi its doesn't work, the wifi keep turn on and off, but the room is still good, if you want to have good network and wifi, I don't recommend this hotel

Clean and efficient hotel, staff are friendly and helpful. There's a bit of noise from the road, but it didn't keep me awake. About a mile from the city centre so if it's not too hot it manageable. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice little hotel. We booked 2 x rooms for a night as we needed a place to snooze in for our layover. Very handy that there's a restaurant on site. Staffs were welcoming & lovely. Will visit again soon.

If can be, I’ll give double 5 stars. Super good hotel. Good location, helpful and friendly staff, ground floor restaurant provides good and reasonable cost food. Short distance walk there are food, supermarket, shopping mall. To city about 10 to minutes walk. Specially thanks to hotel reception Mr Abdul Halim, a young man, help to direct me to city center and arrange the transfer to airport. Thanks Badiah hotel Brunei, hope to back again soon.

A great place to stay on an overnight transit in Brunei. The free airport transfer both ways made it really easy. The location of the hotel is good with a footbridge across the water to the city centre in easy walking distance (although you may need to check a map carefully to find it).

Room is keep clean and wide, but a little bid old. There are some restaurants and supermarket and small shopping mall. It is convinient. And you can go to the city center by walk. It takes less 15 minutes walk.
