I've visited the Brussels Smile Clinic a number of times over the past few years. I can honestly say I never had an appointment on time, waiting around for 30 minutes plus seemed to be the norm, sometimes up to an hour. There were never any apologies for delays and I frequently asked that I be called in advance should there be a delay. Other times i'd turn up and they had completely forgotten about my appointment. I continued to use the clinic due to the proximity to my home but the chaotic way of working has led me to the decision to go elsewhere. Poor timekeeping and shoddy service seems to be a common theme based on the other reviews and as already said previously, the positive reviews are from the company, owner and husband. Update 29/5/2018 I was contacted by the clinic with a rather bitter email saying I was full of hate, writing lies, hiding behind a screen and aiming to destroy "activity". Quite quite bizarre. The images are attached for your perusal along with the reviews that are biased. The isn't the behaviour i'd expect from a professional clinic. Reviews should be a mechanism to improve the service offered and not to lead to the sending of such emails.

Avoid this place at all costs! I was an Invisalign patient at the Brussels Smile Clinic for about 4 years and over that time there was a lot of smaller or bigger mess-ups (e.g. I received X-rays scans of another patient, my appointments were forgotten). At the end of my treatment, an extremely unpleasant situation occurred when Dr Declercq wanted to overcharge me about €500 over what was initially agreed in my treatment plan. Eventually she agreed to return the money, but never apologised for this situation because she ‘is not an accountant’ . When I complained about this tremendous lack of professionalism and negligence, my dentist sent a very nasty email to my employer explaining why he should not be working with me… Not quite a service or care that I I had signed up for.

I did the invisalign treatment with Dr. Nathalie Declerq. She was extremely professional and I felt in really good hands. I'm really happy with the treatment, overall. Dr. Declerq speaks English fluently, which is a huge bonus. Facilities are very clean and modern, always a pleasure to come here. Only downside is that I can't recall a single time when I was attended on time. Usually there was a 20-30 minute delay... While they always apologized, it is still a massive convenience for people with busy work schedules, for whom 30 minutes makes a big difference.

This is my to-go clinic in Brussels! All the staff speaks perfect English and are incredibly nice. I have experiences with three doctors there and all are super professional. One of my favorite ones is Dr. Arek. He always makes sure you understand everything and you leave without any doubts. Dr. Leclercq inspires me a lot of confidence and professionalism and she is ready to jump in to give you advise in complicated cases, as it was mine. However, these last week I had not the usual perfect experience I normally have. It was quite difficult to reach them out for an appointment both via email and phone as I was not receiving a reply and I was quite desperate to receive treatment due to an infection. They were super nice to give me an appointment from one day to another, but today the doctor took the next patient before I arrive (a patient that arrived 1 hour before her/his appointment). I arrived and I was talking to the recepcionis by 9:41, and my appointment was at 9:30. I apologized for arriving late due to traffic and she told the Dr. just arrived so it was not a problem. I was sitting in the waiting room for 5-10 mins and apparently the Dr. in those 11 minutes took the next patient , without calling me or checking if I was just about to arrive, and by almost 10:00 they told me it could take 5 minutes or 30 minutes to finish with the other patient. The only solution was to wait up to 1 hour later of the original appointment, which I could not as I already moved a meeting later in order to be able to go to the clinic. The next appointment available is 5 days later, which can complicate things with an infection and will have me in pain for days. Whereas I ask them to please call me if there is any cancellation, it’s quite a pity that I had to reschedule everything for 11 minutes and a patient that arrived 1 hour before his/her appointment. Despite this isolated experience, I will still highly recommend this place!

I have been a patient with the Brussels Smile Clinic for over a year now and I am extremely happy. I had a real open bite issue which was not only causing me issues on my back teeth, but gave me a real confidence issue. Dr Declerq recommended that I start Invisalign, which I did. The whole process was smooth to doing a scan and discussing a quote and payment options - which were very reasonable. I am extremely glad I decided to go for Invisalign; I am not yet finished the treatment but it has already closed my open bite amazingly and straigtened my teeth more; giving me much more confidence. The clinic has also helped me with other issues including fillings and wisdom teeth problems, which where all done professionally. I live in Paris now but will stay a patient with the Smile Clinic as I know its hard to find a dentist you can trust and build a good rapport with. Many thanks!!

THE WORST EXPERIENCE you’ll get in that clinic!!! I found the clinic for an orthodontic treatment… The doctor accepted the case and gave a high price…which is okay but was always stressed working… he never took full responsibility… whenever I would ask, he didn’t know anything right… he never even tried to answer he was mad and stressed and without knowledge… while I was paying for his work… He was very rude and then his colleagues and the main doctor there were screaming at me and not answering professional to my questions and concerns. They weren’t real… never showed compassion far from that. The main doctor couldn’t talk just yelling and talking in full anger. They are. Unprofessional and arrogant… I never experienced something like that. Never ever work with them and don’t even know how they are working if they treat patients like that.

Very good experience during my last appointment. The Dentist Susana Trigo Moutinho was extremely professional and explained me all the proceedings to my treatment. The clinic is great and I recommend.

Very professionnal & competent. Very nice offices. You will be very well taken care of. I finished my treatment with Dr. Declerq, I highly recommend. I'm very happy with all the help she provided, and glad I did the invasalign.

At the Brussels Smile Clinic, I received consistently friendly and competent service, from reception desk and medical staff alike. The place is spacious, clean, and coffee/water is provided. I had several teeth cleanings and cavities treatments done. Before and during the treatment they put you at ease, take time to explain everything, and thus going to the dentist is not a fearful experience anymore. Especially for non-French/Dutch speaking Expats this is a recommended dentist/orthodontist, as you can make all appointments by phone/email in English, and receive the full service in English, too. Several doctors also speak another European language (e.g. Portuguese or Romanian), so even that can be of benefit if this is your mother tongue. I can fully recommend this clinic.

Dr. Nathalie Declercq, thank you to you and your friendly staff! Dr. Declercq is a great dentist, she is competent and gentle. I was never in any pain whilst the treatment and she also communicates every step of the procedure. But that little bit of extra for me was her keen sense of aesthetics. Love it !

Dr Nejma Ghehiouche is fantastic! I had an injury and broke teeth (nr one). I was so sad. Dr Ghehiouche made beautiful reconstruction and next week I had a successful conference thanks to her!

Dr. Declercq is very professional and transformed my smile with invisalign, the results exceeded my expectation and I couldn't be happier! My cleanings with Dr. Moutinho are excellent, she goes above and beyond to provide advice on caring for your teeth and is very communicative throughout her cleanings making you feel very comfortable. Appointments often run late but that is because they take their time to provide quality care.

The office is very international and I had no problem communicating. Dr Susana Moutinho is the best dentist I have ever had. She is very friendly and attentive. She takes care to explain everything and tries not to hurt you and gives helpful advice. I always feel she really wants to do the best for her patients. I highly recommend her.

My experience was good I got a perfect smile It was a little tiring due to punctuality, but the result is worth it. They provided me with information about the necessity of seeing a speech pathologist to adjust the position of the tongue and breathing correctly.
