La Maharani

Restaurant

😠 A shame to write this but the meal was as bad as it gets for Indian cuisine. We had no meat in our dishes, and everything was awful compared to UK Indian restaurants. It pretty much ruined our Saturday evening, and to top it off, was very overpriced for what was simple food. People often mention Indian, restaurant, time,

I just finished my meal at this restaurant. The service was quick and perfect. The staff also were nice. The food especially was very delicious and was served to me after roughly 15 minutes. I was hesitant to try this restaurant after reading the reviews, but now my experience was very different and positive. I do recommend this restaurant for delicious indian food.

If you would like to feel like Maharaja (King is the equivalent english word) and want to have food or drink in front of a mammoth architectural beauty, try out this place. We had authentic Bengali (an Indian race) cuisine in front of Belgium stock exchange, adjacent to the Grand Palace. The food is good here and serve with care and love. A good Belgian beer is highly recommended while you eat.

Great halal Indian food and calm atmosphere. We ordered chicken and lamb biryani rice with different spice level. They taste authentic and the food definitely calm our hungry tummy. Highly recommended for Muslim who search for halal meat in Brussels.

Food was quite good for our taste but it's an extremely expensive restaurant. We paid 107 for 4 people and the portions were not massive at all.

We had 2 plates of samosas and 2 cups of Indian tea (16 Euros!) which were quite good but when it came to the bill, the owner declared he doesn’t accept credit cards between 3 and 5pm! He asked us to go to an ATM!! For his bizarre attitude, I would be careful about going here again.

We went there on Saturday evening. Whatever you want to order - Do it in 1 time only. I asked 1 more mix veg and they forced me not to order because it will take time. Service is worst. It took 55 mins. Their behaviour is also very bad. I asked 1 waiter about my order and he said why are you talking to me, talk to that person who took your order. So simply I'll say I'll never go there. Experience was pathetic

I had lunch there this afternoon with my wife. Food was pathetic in taste, I even conveyed my message to owner, however did not get any satisfactory answer. We had to leave and find some other place to eat.

Have visited many Indian Restaurants in USA and Europe but none as bad as this one. It was a horrible experience in all aspects and not just one...choice of seating..order capturing, waiting time to be served, taste , staff behaviour, billing time etc.. Unfortunately we were on a day tour and it was raining so could not step out to search another hotel after the initial shocker we received... Please avoid this hotel..because.. - Staff is not professional. Owner brought some family member from hometown to run this hotel. Every time he talks a table the heads from other tables turn towards him..that is what it is.. - Waiting time was 40 mins for a Naan and a Curry. feedback was not well received by the staff. - Taste is subjective, but the dish cannot definitely taste a little sweet if you actually ordered a spicy curry. I know that now the owner will respond back to my post with either refuting the feedback or promising that he will work on it, but looking at the previous posts and promises, I dont think this place has improved a bit.. very sad indeed..
