Came here for a drink and felt like we weren't overly welcome due to how rude the waiter was. As we came in, we were left for a bit confused if we were meant to take a seat anywhere or if we'd be shown to the table. We were eventually shown to the table, but it seemed this annoyed the waiter as he threw the menu down on the table, pointed at it, and walked off. We were then left for around 15 to 20 minutes trying to get the waiters' attention to order. When he finally came over, I tried to order in French, my French isn't the best, but I can get by. The waiter seemed to be annoyed that I wasn't fluent French speaking and was rude when speaking to us. We were then served the drinks around 10 minutes after ordering. We stayed for one drink and left due to the rudeness we'd encountered. During the drinks, I was looking through the menu at all they had on offer and thought I'd take some pics to upload to here. Whilst doing so, the waiter came past and snatched it off me, again leaving me feel quite unwelcome. The building is really interesting and so I'd recommend coming here to see that. They also have quite the range of food and drinks (my step daughters loved the hot chocolate!), although they are on the pricier side, but given the location and how interesting the building is, the cost is understandable. The way we were treated really left a negative impression, and for that reason, I wouldn't recommend coming here.

Tourist don’t come please Services here was really horrible… The arrival welcome was rather friendly, the lady will greet you and lead you to the seat. However, the ordering stuff are so impolite and I feel disappointed! They are mean to me when asking what will I want to drink, and even try to collect my plates twice when I haven’t done. When he collected the plates for the mussles, i wanted to have my fries and fork stay. But it was too late to talk about it when he already took my fork. So I asked him to give me another one, instead he just gave me back the fork that already soak in the mussle pot. Ended up I used a tissue to wrap it to use. Food wise, the fries were terrible as well, cold and way too soft. You can find something better even in fast food restaurant like McDonald’s. The mussles were average but I think there is somewhere better than this I’m sure. I’m utterly disappointed for this experience and I am pretty sure it’s because im a tourist and travelling alone probably. Since I have seen them smile like hell to other customers and even bowl and shake hand to them, but for other single traveller, they just being rude and indifferent. I feel like they just want me to pay the money and finish the food asap and leave. All in all, I don’t recommend it to tourist

It is my second time here. The place is very, very nice, also the Service.... But, today I order a pizza and I have got one big piece. They didn't cut it into pieces, nor did I get any sauces... Perhaps that's what they have as standard, I don't know, but it's strange if they do that usually ... However, this does not affect the taste of the dishes and service, so I believe that this is just accidental negligence caused by a large number of customers, and not the standard of service. Once again, I take good memories from there, both in terms of location, service and quality of food. With a pure heart I recommend this restaurant. Expect the best, you will certainly be satisfied. They have already won my heart twice. Recommend ♥️ I'll visit this place again for sure.

Upon arrival I was immediately looked after. The customer service was exceptional. My waiter recommended several dishes and drinks for me making the experience all the more pleasant. Everything was handled with professionalism and courtesy. To my waiter Murat, thank you for such a memorable experience.

Good food! I’ve tried the traditional carbonnade à la flamande! Highly recommend this plate. Good drinks and desserts.

Found this bar by accident but pleased we did. At table service was quick and friendly. Good selection of beers and menus in a number of languages. Food a little pricey but that's because of where it is so close to the Grand Place. Would recommend.

Beautiful bar-restaurant in the center. The inside is really beautiful and the food is tasty, but everything is expensive, in particular the drinks. The staff is not so nice as they are really busy trying to serve all the people, especially on a Saturday afternoon. Good to try this place but not as great as it seems.

If you want to sit down and just relaxed without being interrupted by the staff constantly, this is the right place. They have good food and spacious seating area. Very nice interior design. However, it is a bit on the expensive side. Also, don’t expect fast service, it is a place to relax rather than rush.

Great food. I recommend the steak here. Not cheap, but that's understandable, given the location, and the quality of the dishes. Relaxed athmosphere. Lots of tourists here.

Great old place with a lovely laid back atmosphere, and history including the old pharmacy which previously occupied the site, hence the name. Plus it has one of the best selections of beer in central Brussels. Didn't eat so can't comment on food but beer, service and ambience all good.

Very tourist friendly restaurant with gorgeous flair. They have a large selection of drinks and food, and very friendly service. Food came quickly and was decent enough for a Bolognese. Great for a meal in a swish surrounding.

Service was good, staff friendly and attended to our needs responsively. I had the Flemish beef stew and tasted great, wife had the spaghetti bolognaise which is a big meal and could do with less pasta and cheese and add more meat with sauce. Relaxing ambience and beer was cold.

Lovely place, we were the 5 of us and thought we'd have to wait for a table since we didn't have reservation, but we were able to get one. The vegetable lasagna and the original one were delicious, so was the onion soup and the warm bread, butter and chocolate, peanuts which thoughtfully accompanied the food and drinks. Special thanks to our waiter, Siar who was quick, kind and made our stay even more pleasant. Must go when in Brussels!!

Decided to go here as other restaurants around were too pushy, trying to persuade us to get in, and therefore we did not get convinced.. Food is really good, I had salmon and was really tasty. My friends had pizza, and that was also good. Unfortunately they did not have a salad that I really like, but I got the burrata instead, which was quite nice too. Service could be better, however, it was good, no complaints.

🦪Mussels, white wine & parsley - if you are looking for Mussels in Brussels, I strongly recommend your this historical restaurant with amazing and friendly staff. The restaurant has 3 floors with silent place for romantic or friends dinner or lunch. As I mention I was here many times and come back next time again🍺

Extraordinary place in the heart of Brussels, capital of Europe! Such a smart place, with excellent food and drinks! Difficult to find more comfortable nor better located! Hope soon it'll be possible to order via some practical multi-lingual applications, such as Instalacarte!

Walking into this establishment feels like traveling back in time. The atmosphere is so different from any other place. There are 3 floors with tables and comfy couches. The decor of the building feels warm and cozy.

Opera drug is restaurant in the middle of Center of Brussels, 3min from la grande place. We went there during the afternoon. We tasted the famous Mikado belgian chocolate crepe with ice cream. The crepe was very soft and it was two crepes with belgian chocolate and vanilla ice cream on the topping. We have teied it with the viennois chocolat and chantilly! Vlit was extremely tasty with good quality of Belgian chocolate. We also tasted their ice cream with Mexican trophy, it was very delicious. The ice cream was great, i highly recommend especially nougat pralin and hazelnut. The service was excellent, the waiter was very friendly and we were served in short time despite that the restaurant was full. We also enjoyed the little corner we're we stayed, the atmosphere was cozy and not noisy. It was a little hot inside. It

We went for dinner with the special New Year's Eve menu. A little poor in reference to quantities, but the taste was correct. The staff was impolite and in terms of atmosphere, it’s a warm place.

Last week we visited this restaurant for the second time because we had a good experience before. The Poultry stew with mushrooms, cream, and Belgian fries I ordered was good. It was of a good temperature, tasteful, and nicely served. The fries were served on a separate plate with a sauce (which I forgot the name of) which was also tasteful. De La véritable Banane Royale (ice cream) was also very good. It was served in a big cup with a lot of banana slices, plenty of liquid chocolate, and a soft cookie. The waiter we had was also very friendly and served us well and quickly. The only complaint we do have is that we discovered afterward that we paid for drinks we did not order. At this time we also realized that the waiter did not give us the bill before we had to pay. If the waiter had given us the bill beforehand, we could have pointed this out immediately. As a result, we had to pay 18,80 euros more. My advice is to make sure that your waiter(s) do give the bill to customers beforehand to prevent this because this can become quite a large sum if people are not aware of this at that moment. Despite our complaint, we still had a good time and will return here. Due to the complaint described above, I did subtract 2 stars from the 5. ============== OLDER REVIEW ============== It was the first time I visited the city centre of Brussels and we decided to ate here for diner. I ordered the hamburger and must say that I really liked it. The taste was good, it wasn't too hot so you could eat it right away and it was baked well and was served nicely. The fries itself where very tasty as well just as the salads that where both served with it. The service was great. We asked for a table for 5 people and got helped right away and the people where friendly. The only drawback I found was that it was quite warm in the building (that is the reason for 4 stars for the atmosphere). In the end we had a good experience here so this restaurant will definitely be on our list for future visits.

While walking around the Grand Palace in Brussels, we saw this cute cafe and stopped by for tea. We also liked the earl gray tea they brought with teapots and cups. The employees were very interested and friendly.

Picture this: We ventured to this charming restaurant with eager appetites, drawn in by the promise of savory mussels. Alas, our hopes were dashed when the server regretfully informed us of their absence. Disappointed but undeterred, we savored other dishes. As we neared the end of our meal, lo and behold, mussels appeared at another table! Despite the mussel mishap, our dining experience was filled with laughter and delicious food leaving us with a memorable tale to recount.

I found the restaurant by chance and was really a great place for an afternoon beer and some dessert we didn’t try there food but looks really good. The decoration inside the restaurant is very elegant but i was sitting outside enjoying the beautiful weather

Location, music and interior are very nice. The food was not very delicious as the french fries were very fat and oily. You could taste right away that the food was just a warm up. The food was ready in 2 minutes which is impossible for serving fresh foods.

A curiously named place that bears no relationship to its name. Well it's near the Opera House, but no drugs... Great decor inside. Spread over several floors so plenty of space. Good menu range, pizza, pasta, burger and so more local dishes. Good drinks range for the usual Belgian beers and spirits. Visited twice as first experience was good, got fed up wandering from venue to venue on second night and decided to return. First night shared prawn croquettes starter (and again day 2). These are perhaps pricey. But are so across Belgium (we also had in Bruges). Then Belgian stew and chips. (No veg in stew, but now appreciate there is no veg in Belgian stew). Great amount of meat, beautifully cooked. Smoked salmon tagliatelle had more salmon than the reasonable price warranted. Masses of it. Both meals great. Pizza day 2. Both great, well cooked. Tasty. And finished with creme brulee. This being the only item to have let them down. Pud itself was warm and glaze burnt. Had we not been reserved English we could have complained I'm sure and no doubt replacement would have been sourced. Both nights bill to include drinks, starter and pud came in around 40 Euro each (late 2022)

Surprisingly one of the fewer and fewer Paris-like bars in the Brussels center, Drug Opera offers a warm, vintage atmosphere that is a pleasure to the eyes. Staff is highly competent and kitchen fast and efficient. Although not knowing the whole menu, we had today by far the best croque Monsieurs of the city centre!

Found the place by accident and is the best! The service was amazing, the waiter was super nice to me and always on top of whatever I needed, making suggestions and being super friendly (don’t know his name but is a skinny man with glasses and gray hair) - just incredible! I ordered the entrecôte with pepper sauce, Belgium fries and the best beer (morte subite - cherry beer) Amazing experience, would come back!

Great place to eat! Different options from vegan to meat lover! The beer options are endless! There are lot of tables available in a Friday night. The prices are higher than the ones for other restaurants in the same region.

I'm so pleased Drug Opera has battled through the pandemic. It's totally a Brussels landmark place to eat. Here is a snap of the delightful crêpe avec banane toffee.

Very charming restaurant/bar in the city centre. The food options are not ideal for vegetarians, but the bar has a wide range of cocktails, beers and wines
