Plain Publiek is a perfect destination for a sunny day in Brussels. The outside terrace set in Mont does Arts. The drinks, and especially cocktails are decent, and there’s a nice selection of sharing plates for dinner or after work drinks. Worth booking in advance for a nice table. The service can be hit and miss, I’ve had really nice waiters, and I’ve had waiters who’d rather be somewhere else than help you.

The restaurant inside this place is called Sumak, a Lebanese restaurant, but as a Lebanese I wouldn't say the food is exactly Lebanese, more Lebanese inspired. They put couscous inside the Tabouleh :S ... I loved the service provided by our server, smiley and funny... The best part is that after 11pm on events days, they convert the floor to a dancing floor, they remove the tables. This Saturday it was Brazilian themed music, most people couldn't relate to the music mixed by the DJ, but it was fun. People who are already inside before 11, don't have to pay to enter the dance floor.

We went here to get a drink during Brussels Bright. We managed to get a table for the for of us quite quickly. I went to the bar to order drinks and was told someone would come to the table. 15 minutes later I went back to the bar because no waiter had come to the table...despite us signalling one of the 5 behind the bar/roaming the room. I finally got to guve my order and paid by credit card. After this round my friend went to the bar to order and was told a whole different thing... he had to purchase a card with a set amount (5/10/15 €) on. Thrn he had to use this as payment at thr bar. The result was that he did not know how much the drinks did cost but he was left with that card with an unknown amount of money on. We have no intentions of going back. Makes one wonder why you need to electronically purchase a drinking card when it is so easy to pay with credit cards or apps nowadays. It is an unnecessary waste of plastic, effort and desire to go back there.

Beautiful venue with this high ceiling old architectural building converted inside into a sort of fusion of an internal greenhouse and trendy restaurant. Not sure I will come back, although I really loved the view and the location.
