Food took kinda long to come out but it was AMAZING. Went there about a week ago and haven’t stopped thinking about their chicken & waffles. Our server was super friendly despite being busy and towards the end of her shift. Will definitely be back!

Friendly service, clean establishment, very nice food. Sausage gravy and biscuits are house made, shrimp and grits had quality ingredients as well. Egg cooked perfectly and clean tasting bacon.

Great place!!! The smoothies are so yummy and cute. The coffee comes in a self serve pot that they refill. The meals were great. The portions are great. The staff was great.

A pleasant surprise. We were passing through town and seeking a "breakfast anytime" option when we found Childers. The menu is quite large and quite varied. Service was friendly, and attentive. The restaurant decor is bright, welcoming and super clean.

Amazing food, friendly service. The waitress went out of her way to make me some awesome sweet tea! The bacon and eggs were perfect! I'm not sure what kind of bread they have, but the toast was fantastic also!

I go here and dine alone about every other weekend. I have never once had bad service. I usually go on Saturdays but switched things up a little and went today, on a Sunday. The parking lot was jam packed! It took me a half sec to realize it was the church rush. I expected to be there a little longer today, which I would’ve been ok with. The restaurant about to full capacity but I was happy to see they had a few of the single booths open on the back wall, so no wait at all to sit down. The kid that works as a host up front is very welcoming and hardworking. I’ve never had to wait longer than 60-90 secs to be seated. Both servers that work the weekends are great too. I really didn’t expect to be in and out as quickly as I was today but those girls are on it every time. I get the same thing whenever I go and it’s always delicious. The butternut squash and andouille sausage frittata is phenomenal! And the lemon vinaigrette on the greens is one of best dressings I’ve ever had in my life. I always eat every last bit and leave feeling very satisfied.

We went on a Sunday morning around 11am. My nachos had chorizo in them when I specified no pork. Then the second portion was not even nearly as full as how they normally are. I was confused as if the portion was even for an adult. I was highly disappointed in the university location which I am a regular at the junction location but this was definitely unacceptable. Even my husband noticed the difference! We just paid the bill and left peacefully. Better luck next time, but I come every week faithfully for those chilaquiles verde for me to waste $12 bucks on nachos.

I had shrimp and grits. There was too much red sauce and I wouldn't liked more grits but overall it was very tasty.

Great place to eat. Great food. Inside the building is a little out of date. Staff is friendly and nice. Our food came fast and was delicious. Overall would go back again. Great food and the menu is full of items. They have high chairs for kids, but the high chairs don't have straps. The waiters are always happy and excited to do their job. Nice bathroom. Clean place to eat. Also my family and I got served right away.

This review is mainly for the location on N University St in Peoria, IL. I only go at this location lately. I have not been for a long time at the location at Grand Prairie Mall. I stopped going to the Junction City location after the two in a row extremely bad service and cold food. The University location it is a great diner which probably has regulars. Great service, great food. I usually get the breakfast, they are all very good

Childers is always great and has options for brunch and dinner, sweet and savory, and vegetarian and vegan options. It's a nice atmosphere for family, friends, or just a nice meal on your own. The drinks and bar options are a plus. The food is always tasty and they have options that other restaurants do not, especially brunch places.

Today I went to Childers eatery. The special soup for the day was a cold soup. I asked before I ordered if I could try it and they said absolutely not. To me that’s a example of trying to sell something that is not edible. If the soup was good, they would be willing to give you a sample. Evidently they don’t have the confidence in their cooks that they should. So if I can’t get a sample which is just a teaspoon. I’m not really willing to spend my money in that restaurant. So Childers eatery I will never eat at your restaurant again. You evidently don’t have the confidence your cooks are efficient . So I’d like to recommend in the soup and salad at Olive Garden. They will happily let you sample any type of soup that you want to try. OLIVE GARDEN IS THE BEST!!!!

Amazing food great selection. The lavender latte was AMAZING!! I really regret not taking pics of our food it was great. Apparently the locals know this because the entire time we were there it was a full house. Keep up the good work guys this is a definite return visit!

We had a party of four for lunch. Service was timely and very professional. Our waitress was personable and friendly. Our food came in reasonable time and tasted fantastic. I had the chicken bacon chipotle street tacos and they were excellent. Great all-around experience!

Burgers don't come with any side. Got fries extra charge and there wernt that many of them. It just didnt impress me at all this time. Tables are too close together and you can not have a party of more than 8 people because tables are round for 8 people. No room around tables for infant seat or high chair without it being really cramped. Waitress was nice.

I’ve tried the Shakshuka, Chilaquiles Verde and the Frittatas at this place. Loved them all. Would also recommend the fresh squeezed juices on their menu. This place has never let me down!

We went for brunch and it was a fantastic dining experience. We will be back. Their gluten free options are outstanding and they know what you can have. Also the custom roasted coffee and loose leaf tea are 100% worth it. Pictured are the Strawberry Cheesecake Pancakes, gluten free style. My dining companion had the Supreme Omelet and loved the egg-to-filling ratio.

Reminds me of 1st watch. Healthy and innovative menu. Loose leaf teas. Fresh squeeze juice. Wife loved her Persian egg thing. Fluffy pancakes and avocado toast liked by the kids. My steak tacos were tasty. Really good service 👏

On Mother's Day, service was SLOW, food terrible, noisy. I had chicken and waffles. Chicken was dry, overcooked, tough and waffle was cold. After such a long wait at least expected the food to be good. Don't know why, had the same experience at the Grand Prairie location about a year ago. That's why I never went back. This time, my friend wanted to go there so thought I'd give it another try. Prices are also high. Also, I used the restroom and had to wait for the 1 person restroom in a kitchen type area. Very bad set up.

Wonderful staff and a delightful environment. The food was some of the tastiest food we've had in a long time. The shrimp and grits was delicious and the biscuits and gravy were perfectly cooked and delicious. I recommend this place for everyone.

Sad I have to give a one star review because the food was actually pretty good. But the service was so bad that my husband and I had to give it a 1 star. We come to the junction city location quite often but the last 2 times in the last month the service has been absolutely horrendous!!! Coffee never filled, she never checked on us, never smiled, had to ask boxes our check, etc etc... You would think they would hire someone with experience especially for the prices they charge. Very disappointed and won't be back unless they get some better people in here to take of the guests!!
