This is our first visit to Winter Wonderland inside the Tamworth Snow Dome. Due to the Government changing the law it was mandatory to wear a facial covering indoors and a big A board sign outside made you aware of that. We brought an extra set of clothes for the boys and put the bag in a locker (20p non refundable) so we didn't have to carry it around with us. Gloves, coats and warm boots are the order of the day. After being checked in you follow the passageway until you get to where helmets are provided for the children (sledging and rubber tube slides). You then wait for a message on the screens from Santa's elf and after a countdown the doors open and the cold air hits you as you enter. There is loose snow on the ground and coloured lights shine down from the ceiling, you can pull your child around on one of the sledges provided and there are also slides where they sit on small inflatable tyres. After about 30 minutes your ushered into the theatre where Santa explains to Rudolf the meaning of Christmas with the help of a time travelling sleigh. (20 minute show) When the show ends Santa wishes us all a Merry Christmas and your then escorted to the back of the theatre which leads to a large room here is the Christmas Carousel and there are goats, guinea pigs and some llamas. There is also a few photo opportunities by the Christmas tree, Santa's house and a ski lift seat. When you've finished you leave via a ramp and if you've had any photos taken they can be purchased at this point. We were offered a chocolate and wished a Happy Christmas. The staff were courteous during our stay But I gave four stars as was disappointed that alot of visitors were not wearing their facial coverings and this was sadly not inforced!! I would say it's not bad value for money, but if your looking to meet Santa this experience is not for you.

Amazing experience at Santa's winter wonderland. My daughter's loved it. We came with some friends who didn't wrap up warm enough so make sure you have your wellies, jackets, hat, gloves etc as it is real snow. There are 3 sections to explore with slides and sledge for the first, theatre for the second and animals in the last one.

It's a fantastic attraction for young kids!! We took our grandson (4), and he absolutely loved the sledging, pantomi.e and petting zoo. There are slides and other things to do as you walk around the winter wonderland. We stayed for food afterwards, which was good quality and also good value for money. Parking is a bit of an issue but shouldn't put you off from visiting.

This was an awesome amazing time and not only did my little girl enjoy it so did. The staff were amazing and only one staff member chap seemed to have his Christmas spirit removed, but the rest of the team more than made up for it. Thank you guys for making us some wonderful life time memories.

Winter wonderland experience was lovely, Panto was enthusiastic and well preformed. Animal enclosures and animals all spotless and clean, all healthy looking and calm. Only downside was it wasn't overly clear on timescales for things and the alloted slot in the snow play was extremely short lived. overall nice little day out but wouldn't visit again as my son definitely would have loved more time in the snow than anything else.

Visited the winter wonderland with my 2 children mid November. It was quiet this time so was great for my two year old. Got in and down into the snow quickly. The staff came over and helped fit the kids helmets and were very interactive. The snow, slides and decorations are cool and very fun for kids and big kids. After about 45 mins we got called in for the Santa show and was amazing, kids loved it. Very interactive for the kids brilliant show. After show we went to see the animals, alpaca's, rabbits which you can pet, pigs, goats and more. Again the deco, roundabout and letter to santa was also very enjoyable. On leaving we had a photo on a backdrop which you can buy before you depart. All in all brilliant day out. Was good going early in the Christmas season, ticket s are cheaper too. Would recommend a visit.

We were here for the first time and were delighted with this location. My daughter has long wanted to go sledding through the snow and she was very happy when she saw snow. I also watched the Christmas themed Cinderella show. It was a fantastic and joyful show. Letter to Santa you can write copies and put them in the Christmas mail. We had a great time, we will definitely return to this location because we were very happy with the atmosphere there.☃️❄️🛷🎄

Winter Wonderland was wonderful! Our 5 year old loved it. The first part in the snow felt like it was going to be crowded but once we were in there was lots of space and lots to do. The Santa show was brilliant - very well done. The Santa Village was lovely - loved the Carousel. Definitely worth a visit. The only disappointing bit was the meal we had before it in the Cafe at the Snowdome. Very overpriced for what you got and very average - a real shame

A good aftermoon for the kids to enjoy a Christmas experience. It seemed a little too jammed packed of customers to fully enjoy the experience. Felt like sardines in a can. Our children enjoyed the snow and being pulled around on the sleigh, although they were disappointed to find out that the mini snow tubing wasn't part of the price (we were too). It also felt a little rushed. The Santa theatre was fantastically done, both our children and us enjoyed it very much. We would do this again and would hope they reduce the number of customers per visit so there's less pushing, shoving and standing around in large groups where it was difficult to pass even when asking to step aside politely.

My husband and I took my little girl who is 2 1/2 to see Santa and we had the best time playing in the snow before seeing the Santa show and then onto see the animals and ride on the merry round go round. We even wrote a letter to Santa and posted it onto the talking letterbox which she loved ❤️ Highly recommend!

Absolute fantastic time and experience by all the family last night. Huge thanks for making some very special memories. What’s good- safe , clean, well lit, great motivated and friendly staff, especially the guy on the short slide. Fun panto. Loads to do and see. Feedback- wanted more time in snow before being ushered and cleared into panto I think. Maybe more signs or a park map to plan and see what’s where. Tad overpriced if I’m honest, bit crowded and needed more session time. Otherwise really enjoyed it.👍

Great experience for the whole family - our little one loved her first trip to the snow! The experience was magical and really helped get us into the Christmas Spirit. The website FAQ's were helpful - we knew to wrap up warm and wear waterproof shoes/boots. My only feedback is that it may be helpful to let guests know the order of things during their allotted time. Knowing that we would not be able to go backwards would have been helpful as we would have spent our time in the snowy area a bit differently. In any case it was a great day out and we hope to be back again next year!

2nd year with toodler. Great time. Volume of music thoughis still too loud throughout whole of building. Couldn't have a conversation even in the restaurant and became overwhelming in what would have been an excellent experience.

As a family this is our 4th or 5th visit to Winter Wonderland at the Snowdome, with our first visit being about 13 years ago. It's such a great experience for children and adults alike. My young children love it, my teenage nieces love it, my sister and I, our partners, and our parents all love it. I think the panto this year was the best one we've seen so far when coming here. Sledging and tubing during snow play seems to be the biggest hit with most of the young children, where as the older ones just love getting their parents with snowballs :-) The carousel and games are a great addition to the animal area. There was a lovely member of staff, Zoe who was running the carousel when we were there, and she was so approachable and friendly. She made sure that my son with additional needs was able to take part in riding the carousel, and he loved it. I didn't really have much interaction with the other staff, but from the very little I did, everyone supporting the Winter Wonderland was fantastic.

We took our two grandsons aged 5 & 3 and they loved every minute of the experience. There was enough room to move about freely and we did all the slides and picture opportunities. The Cinderella panto was great fun even for the adults. We did do snow fun before we went in which was extra and that realy made the whole experience fun.

So each stage is timed and you only get around 30 mins on the snow play at the start which is a shame. The show with santa was wicked! And the animals and carousel at the end were really cool. I was expecting some reindeer to be there but I'm not sure if I made that up- no reindeer. You do get a chocolate treat at the end and they even had dark chocolate for our little one that has a dairy allergy- although none of the staff seemed to know that. And the staff at the hot chocolate bar weren't even aware that their hot choc powder had milk in. I think more awareness and training needed but I am being fussy because overall it was really really good value for money and a wicked time!

We started off with a kinder intro and 1 lesson which to be honest were not great and I think it's really hard on the instructors to be expected to manage the amount of kids they have in the sessions. Ultimately we complained and got a voucher for the sessions to spend which we chose to do on private sessions for our 4 year old whilst on sale. I do wish there was something more affordable between the private and kinder for children especially for 4 year olds mid week as many aren't at school yet so would be a great way mid week of filling up spaces. We were so lucky on our first sessions to get Adam...he was amazing with our little boy, so welcoming, patient, calm and the main thing made it enjoyable and fun. Our child got so much more out of this session. Our second session was ok with a different instructor not as great as they weren't on time and nothing was turn on or the viewing station which I had to ask for. Next time around though I politely just asked if I could have everything on for the start of the session, they asked if this wasn't the case before and gave us extra time in the session. This time we had Archie and again he is fantastic can't recommend enough. So we have continued with Adam and Archie since and they are both a credit to the team both amazing! We had Tim for a kinder 4 session yesterday and again so good with the children only 2 in the session so we were lucky and amazing positive progress made again and most importantly a super happy enthusiastic child at the end. Thanks.

Brilliant for the children to see and play in some snow 😄 The show was great and they also enjoyed the carousel and seeing the animals. The best bit was the chocolate treat at the end!

We went on 18th November with our family and grandson we all loved it so much to enjoy and see lots of fun and magical. We especially enjoyed cinderella. Was well worth the money to see our grandson enjoy the magic of Christmas. Best Christmas event we have been to.

Really great experience. The only thing that lets this experience down and the reason that I have given it 4 stars instead of 5 stars is that the main event, the snow play, is too short. Every time we go, the time always flies by, and it never feels like we have got a sufficient amount of time in it. The little time that we do have in the snow play is an amazing experience, though, and we really enjoy the experience as a whole. Would just love longer in the snow play area.

Went with the wife and kids. Was quite good. Kids loved it I was less keen. You basically played in snow a bit with sledges being the best bit. It was fine but a bit tame for kids over about 8. You then saw a show which was actually very good and my favourite part. After that you saw some animals and the kids went on a ride which was okay. The whole thing wasnt my cup of tea and very busy but as I said at the start my girls 3 and 6 loved it. Having to pay £2.50 to park when youve spent about £70 to go always hacks me off. Same at some other places but just annoys me every time.

Family enjoyed climbing. Only criticism is it would have been nice to see the climbing instructors more helpful with smaller children in helping them climb. Swimming Shute only possible if 1.2metres, though not seen a restriction for this kind of Shute. Still enjoyed it. Snow fun was great.

Great experience. There is something for everyone. Obviously, it's cold in there, so you need to rap up warm. We used the lockers' great size need 20p for them, so bring change. The winter wonderland was great for the children. The cafe was a tidy, great selection of options offered and offered milk alternatives, which is great. We will definitely be returning great for kids and adults alike..

Very disappointing and overpriced for what you get. As previous reviews said only one circuit to go round a few small i exciting slides. My 6 year old granddaughter said we are just going round in circles. I did expect there to be more activities in the snow. The theatre show was below average and then there were a few animals to look at. Not very good value for money at all and will not be repeating the experience. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Great fun, if a little lacking, 1 small slope and that was about it. Plenty of sledges about which was good as it was packed! Couldn't do the bigger slope or ice skating as they were extra. The panto was entertaining and the animal area was good fun.

Fun place for our grandchildren. They enjoyed playing in the snow. The show kept them entertained.

  • 1/5 Amanda C. 1 year ago on Google
In a nutshell the whole experience was pretty boring and underwhelming. One circuit to walk around with a few miniature slopes to slide down. My 7 and 8 year old girls were trying to look like they were having fun, however, the lack or enthusiasm to slide down nothing more than a garden slide (one slide which was slightly better, however, still not that exciting) was very evident. The show was really basic, we had one little chuckle but all in all very forgettable. The animals were ok but my daughters had become so disengaged by this time there was no pulling it back. You could buy a small hot chocolate in this area, however, given the price of the tickets and compared to experiences we have been on over the years, I feel that this should have been complimentary. No meet and greet with Santa which they said they are not doing due to covid. A year ago we were able to meet Santa elsewhere and we have moved on so much since then, just feels like a cop out!! I expected a small 89p selection box at the very least for the kids at the end, however, they were given 2 small chocolate Santa's (as in the sort you hang on your tree)!! They were grateful of course, however, you could sense the slight disappointment!! It was so overpriced for a relatively boring 90 minutes. We are generally easily pleased and make the best of things but honestly, there are so many great Santa experiences out there, please choose another one and don’t waste your money here!! Merry Christmas all.

Despite being a bit cold it was an amazing experience. We've enjoyed the theatre, ice skating, and going around the place.

We went off peak and when the price was cheaper. So we paid 33 and change I think for me, my 8 year old and my 20 month old. They had a blast. Was worth every penny. Wasn't best pleased about getting sprayed in the show though. My son had taken his boots off and my daughter has electrical medical equipment. I'd of liked a warning at least. We arrived late and the Time In the snow was still good. We did a couple laps. There were plenty of rubber rings for slides (we did go off peak. Late on a school night) my daughter had a few goes on the snow slopes. So did my son. We had photos done and sleigh rides as there was adequate sleighs. Then we saw santa in the show. The show was really good and although you didn't sit with santa and have one on one he does ask the kids what they want for Christmas and interacts with them. Then the animals part was nice. They were so cute. Carousel was a hit as was the magic post box to send santa letters. Hot chocolate was closed though. Overall, a good day. Didn't feel short changed. It wasn't dragged out. Managed to get the kids home for dinner time! I will say accessibility wasn't the best though. Lots of steps.

We arrived 30 minutes before as advised on the website but then had to wait 30 minutes before we could enter. 15 minutes before booking time would be a more suitable advisory arrival time. The snow area was lovely and there were plenty of sledges for everyone. 30 minutes in the snow area is not long enough to experience every part. 1 hour would have been better especially considering the price of the tickets. The pantomime show was great and very engaging. The animal area and carousel were also great. We were able to purchase photos and these were then downloadable from a QR code. Overall the experience was good but would not go back again unless the time spent in the snow was extended to 1 hour to reflect the price paid.

Such an amazing experience for us, my two boys and the rest of the family! We go to winter wonderland every year and this was the best year yet, it gets better and better. The snow slopes so so good this year, the pantomime completely captivated the kids, and the Christmas fair at the end was just brilliant with a children’s carousel, hit chocolate and fair ground games for the kids! The staff were so lovely from start to finish, we loved every second!
