I paid privately to be seen by a consultant at the hospital as the wait time on the NHS for an appointment was around 36 weeks in the middle of covid and I felt I needed to be seen sooner than that. I paid £200 for my consultation, not only did I find the consultant dismissive (after I had taken the time to print out my doctors records which she didn't care to read) however she told me in short there wasn't a diagnosis for me and to cancel my NHS appointment because I quote "they won't tell you anything different to what I've said today so don't waste yours or their time". Lo and behold I waited for my NHS appointment and they diagnosed me with a syndrome which has and will effect me for the rest of my life, so much so I'm having to consider daily aids and it may effect me in future when considering having a family. The long and short of this is if you feel something is wrong with you, don't take no for an answer and the likelihood is that private care isn't necessarily better or as good as the NHS, it just gets you seen quicker. Leaving some stars for the kind reception staff who were very friendly and professional and helped me get seated in the right area of the hospital.

Got in contact with this hospital trying to see someone from Urology and was willing to pay privately to get an appointment asap as I was concerned about my health. The secretary said that Dr. Richard Stephenson wanted me to get a referral from my GP, which I did. When my GP sent the referral Richard Stephenson suddenly refused to see me for no reason at all. Completely wasted my time and could not have cared less about the worries I was having at the time. What a useless doctor that Richard Stephenson is, do not waste your time here. Will be taking this complaint much further too.

I have recently had a total hip replacement operation at Murrayfield Hospital and I would like to thank all the staff involved in my care and recovery. The care was second to none, the staff are absolute angels and do a fantastic job, the food was excellent and the hospital is spotless which is obviously important and especially during these covid years. I would highly recommend Murrayfield on the Wirral to everyone they are brilliant THANK YOU ❤❤❤

Never been in so much pain/burning sensation just to be put to sleep. Stayed in overnight. Next morning corridor outside my room was like grand central station or a Liverpool pub on a Friday night.. very loud talking by staff. Banging doors.. and televisions blaring.. would not recommend paying to go there... surgeon was the only good thing about whole horrible experience. Couldn’t wait to get out of there. Then I was hounded because I wouldn’t wait for my ride.. and they bombarded my ride with phone calls to his place of employment.. 🤬🤬🤬

I’ve just had knee surgery here and I can’t praise Mr Harvey and the nursing staff highly enough, every detail was explained to me and every question I had was answered in a way I understood. I have to say from the first consultation, the Covid tests and the people who take your temperature on the way in you couldn’t find more positive and friendly people. The surgery went very well and the nursing staff are so very friendly, courteous, professional and a pleasure to meet and be cared for by. I am usually quite a critical person but this team are fantastic and I thank them for everything they have done for me.

I went here to have a partial knee replacement and I must say just how impressed and satisfying my stop over was. I was allocated my own personal room which had all the amenities necessary for me. From the moment I checked in I was looked after extremely well, Damien who was my main doctor was excellent and was always willing to help me with any issues or questions that I had. The Nurses we're also very pleasant and helpful towards me. The porter's and the catering staff looked after me really well and the menu and food was delicious and the meal was served hot. I could not fault anyone who was looking after me and this made my stay very pleasant from entry to exit. I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone . Full mark's from me. Thanks again to all who helped me. Dave Ashton

I was in as a day patient a couple of weeks ago and I can’t speak more highly of every single member of staff that I came into contact with. The room was exceptionally clean and actually really nice, not at all clinical. I’d like to point out Charlotte and Jonathan in particular who really looked after me on the day before and after my procedure. Would not hesitate to recommend Murrayfield or to use the hospital again in future.

Unprofessional to say the very least. I sent an email inquiring if the hospital had specialists able to conduct a particular type of medical evaluation. It's been a week and i'm still waiting for a reply.

Had mostly a really good experience with Spire Murrayfield until now, I was booked in for a Carpal Tunnel procedure for 12th July 22 (today) received a phone call at 16:20 yesterday 11th July to say my procedure had been cancelled and when questioned Spire Murrayfield where unable to give me a reason, other than it was related to the surgeon...I have now been rescheduled for 24th August, when I queried this, I was made to feel that I was lucky to be given this date? And other people where being given dates for December! So yes very disappointed to be given less than 12 hours notice of cancellation, ok my procedure is a mix of NHS/Private but I honestly thought I would be treated better 😔

A Private Hospital found in Beautiful surroundings with parking on the wirral. Spire Murrayfield Private Hospital can referred by doctor and then you will need to pay (approximately) in my friends case it was a spinal consultation for £190. Very clean and attractive interior of the Murrayfield Hospital. I Also found the Dr Professional, through and extremely competent. I was only visiting as a guest by would highly recommend.

I came to the hospital to have an operation on my foot. I was very nervous but all off the staff from the receptionist on admission to the nursing staff both night and day were exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble. 1st class service

Attended Spire Murray field for a root nerve injection. Both doctor and staff were professional and attentive throughout the procedure. Pre injection and post injection staff member was warm in her manner and very professional. Checked on me several times after I had received the injection which was reassuring. She also got me a hot chocolate/water which was kind. One less star as did not receive any information about the injection before my appointment so had to Google this.

I had a part knee replacement on 26th July 2023 at Spire Murrayfield Wirral. My Consultant carried out the procedure brilliantly from start to finish. He spoke with me before the procedure then just after when I returned to my room after the recovery room. I was very nervous but was put at ease with his calmness before the operation then was surprised when he turned up when I returned to my room after recovery and he explained how the procedure had gone. I think the people that don't get enough credit and praise for what they do are the Nurses Physio staff and the support staff ensuring there is no time that you feel alone or unimportant as you are checked on constantly and have first class follow up support constantly and although you have the privacy of your own room you are monitored day and night and can easily call upon assistance from a Nurse within a few minutes if needed. Spire Murrayfield is an excellent Hospital that I would certainly recommend to anyone requiring a procedure as you are put at ease from the start and are excellently taken through the procedure by very polite and very understanding Staff and all professionals. I believe I need my other knee replacing soon and after my experience this time I don't have the concerns I did before this procedure and I certainly hope I will be able to once again have the procedure carried out at Spire Murrayfield Wirral. Well done and a big thank you to everyone involved in my procedure I really can't thank you all enough.

I had surgery with Mr Juma in July. The care I have received from him and the team at Murrayfield is beyond excellent, if I could give 10 stars I would. The care I received during and post surgery is above and beyond what I expected. Mr Juma has improved my quality of life both physically and mentally. Thank you Mr Juma x

Absolutely wonderful service. Mr Harvey has carried out 2 full knee replacements on my mum, and his expertise has been second to none. The nursing and auxiliary colleagues have been impeccable in their care and professionalism. Would highly recommend this hospital to anyone

Avoid at all costs, absolute hacks. Mr Juma/ Jumar absolutely butchered my ears after being payed 1300.00 pounds to repair my lobes, left them looking absolutely horrific, no scarring or keloids but they look like upside down elf ears now and have ruined my self esteem. Please do not use this hospital look elsewhere.

Ernie Gibbons. I had a full right knee replacement on June 26 2023. My surgeon was Mr Ganapathi so positive and professional. It was a fantastic experience every step of the process was excellent, pre op, the op and the two days care before discharge. Then post op care and physio also exemplary. Most importantly l was treated as a human being and friend and put at ease throughout quite a rare experience in today's world. Heartfelt thanks to each and all of you at Spire Murrayfield Wirral . P S the catering was great!

Mary in outpatients goes above and beyond. She took the time to share advice with me having personally experienced the same medical problem I do. Her care and thoughtfulness helped me make some important healthcare decisions I may not have considered if it had not been for the chance crossing of our paths. I will be grateful for that meeting for the rest of my life. Thank you.

Still waiting over 1 year for an operation, NHS is much better than this Hospital, appalling service, No communication what so ever. I wish my GP had referred me to NHS and not this place.

The care at this place is absolutely amazing. Their attention to detail and bedside manner are the best I've seen in a hospital. All the staff from the administrators to the nurses to the anesthetician to the surgeons are knowledgeable, thorough, and extremely kind. My wife and I live in Sefton Park; there are half a dozen hospitals between us and Spire Murrayfield but we will opt to come here for care every time. The commute is absolutely worth it.

I received excellent care from all the staff from the moment I walked into the reception until I was discharged. My Surgery team were fantastic and talked me through the whole Procedure. My Brookes-Fazakerley did a great job and should be proud of his team. Also a big thanks to my Nurse Damian Hawes who looked after me throughout the day.

I have been telling everyone that my visit for surgery was like a dream. I was very well looked after, it felt as if everyone knew who I was and that I also knew them. It was very personal and I had the best care before, during and after my laparoscopy. I really recommend this hospital 🥰 David Rowlands is my consultant and I am so happy to have found him on my endometriosis journey. Thank you so much.

Outstanding and professional treatment from everyone involved. The whole process from referral to the procedure was carried out superbly. Mr Williams, Dr.Holt and the whole theatre team deserve the maximum credit for my successful outcome. Also, the admin staff, who ensured that I was comfortable prior to my admission and in preparation, they provided a lovely calm room for me, and allowed my wife to stay with me. Many thanks to all concerned.

I had knee surgery here years ago. The result was abysmal. When I asked to see the records they said they only kept them for six years. Make sure you get all the records before you have any treatment and get the reocrds immediately after the treatment too. If things go wrong, take legal advice without delay

From my initial consultations leading to an operation to correct a foot injury, I've continuously experienced pure professionalism and an extremely high level of genuine care throughout the whole process. The staff are so caring, jovial and made me feel completely at ease, comfortable, and informed of every point of my surgery. Thank you for looking after me.

I recently had an abdominal procedure procedure by Mr Juma. Both very approachable and extremely thorough in their after care. Thank you so much my mummy tummy is no more!!

After 24 years I had my breast implants removed. Ali Juma was my surgeon. It's been 4 months since my surgery. The care I have received has been exceptional, especially from nurse Kelly who was very empathetic to my situation. Mr Juma has done a great job & I would certainly recommend him If you are looking to have any sort of breast surgery. I have to say, the food in this hospital is very good too.

Would like to give a special mention to two nurses Lorraine and Ruth who helped me during my recent visit s pre op. Their caring nature ,kind words and helpful hints of managing stress was most appreciated. Just to update post surgery. My surgeon Ali Juma is both a lovely man and great surgeon .He did my surgery which was a little unusual with great care and precision and the difference is amazing. He is a very conscientious man with a great personality and explains things in layman’s terms. His nurse Kelly is wonderful too and nothing was too much trouble .They make a great team They are both a credit to this profession.

I have always had exceptional service whether it is at the Murrayfield or Liverpool Spire. I had a double cubital tunnel release surgery on both elbows about a year ago and it has honestly changed my life.. I recieved great aftercare by the nurses and all information was provided too me which was very helpful. The staff st the reception are always helpful and friendly and can't fault anything.

Very disappointing experience. Went private, only to get referred back to NHS. NHS didn't have the equipment available so I ended up going back and getting tested at Spire. 2 weeks later, no call, no invite to see the consultant etc. I called up asking what's going on as this is an extremely serious health condition only to be told "Oh no one has contacted you? You must book in to see the consultant, we can't give results on the phone." - in short, if I'd not have called up, I'd never have got any communication to get my results. Shockingly poor service.

I can’t praise the standard of care, expertise, and professionalism of the Spire staff enough. I was fortunate enough to be referred to Spire for an operation in December 2022 - life changing results and the after care has been exceptional. Setting the bar for healthcare in my view!

This hospital had such a lovely feel. Everywhere was bright, airy, really well organised and immaculately maintained. More importantly, we were extremely well received by all the staff. It felt to be a very happy place of work with everyone contributing to what felt like a really good team spirit. Whilst we were only visiting and cannot comment on any treatment, the lovely atmosphere made us feel very positive and confident about any potential visits as patients in the future.

I had a hip replacement in Feb. of this year and my experience at Spire Murrayfield, given having any op. is never pleasurable, was as good as it could be. From the op. itself to the aftercare, and in particular the physiotherapy dept. advice and help , has all been excellent. I think the asistance of all at Murrayfield has played a big part in my outcome and return to near normality. Many thanks to you all.
