Both my friend and I had stomach aches and terrible wind after we both had a latte there. Never going back.

The drive thru needs real improvement. It doesn't have the capacity for the amount of customers who use it. Thus expect delays. But apart from that, a well tasting coffee.

Like a youth club with the staff… that’s if the place is even open as often they will have a sign on the door saying drive thru only due to staff issues. Been in there another time and 3 staff weren’t even in uniform… one girl in tight gym shorts - looked so unprofessional! Staff aren’t the friendliest and act like you’re not there. Often very messy and untidy tables and over flowing bins outside. I prefer other Costas over this one.

Service can be quite slow in both the drive through and eating in but the staff are constantly busy - they could do with more people working. All staff very friendly whenever I go here. I went a few days ago and there was a trainee there, obviously a bit anxious and nervous about making the drinks. He made my coffee for me and he was extremely pleased when I told him it was the best I've had from there. Very friendly and welcoming lad. If only more customers were this polite with retail staff. Maybe then we would receive better service and more importantly, make someone's day a little better.

I was disappointed with Costa yesterday. When I arrived staff were putting chairs on tables and I asked when they were closing, thinking it was imminent.... In 45 minutes! They were only serving drinks in takeaway cups (to save on the washing up as it was nearing closing time? 🤔), the toilets were very smelly and the bins full to overflowing!

Tables full of the last customers crockery and rubbish. Had to wait 20 minutes to be served. Had to go back for my coffee, which I didn't realise wasn't on my tray, because I ordered more than one, and return for milk for my tea

Nice location and atmosphere but the staff need to be careful about the orders. My latte was cold when it reached the table and had to take it back to the counter to sort it out.

In-store ordering always closed in favour of drive-thru. Absolutely no good for people like me without a car. Ridiculous.

Sausages were cold in the bap, realised later they were vegan 🤢 please label your food so that people with poor eye sight can tell the difference between meat or vegan,,(perhaps colour code) otherwise all good,,, especially the staff who were very happy and efficient

This is the second Thursday morning in a row that the cafe side has been closed. Today no drive thru either. Met another person in the car park who said this is now a regular occurrence. When we have been there, staff are friendly, but it's clear that they are understaffed and it's very hit and miss. There's no WiFi and hasn't been forever, so you can't access the app. There isn't any mobile signal either, so not a location for working. Not sure how this Costas will stay trading, if they're not open especially when it's advertised that they are.

Went today at 19:30 to staff closing and locking up despite information on here saying it closes at 20:00, and the door itself saying it closes at 21:00. As well as locking the door the drive through is being closed off too. Clearly not the first time looking at other reviews. Useless. As you can see in my photo taken at 19:31, the girl is closing off the drive through with a chain, and literally next to her it has the opening times stating 21:00, hmmmmmm.

9 times out of 10 this store is shut way before they're due to close! I visited last Friday about 4pm and they were closed with a sign on the door that they were closing the store at 2.30pm instead of the advertised time of 8pm, only drive thru available as they were short staffed (i counted 3 staff members inside), and saw over 20 people turn up to go into the store. Attempted to visit last night at 6.45pm..... store and drive thru shut! When it's open it is always busy so lack of custom isn't the problem.

Arrived at 0645 this morning, still closed with no sign of opening. I can't drive at the minute due to a secret injury, glad I walked here. Will avoid from now and walk to town.

Have mobility issues, walk with stick. Staff friendly and attentive. Even though they were very busy a nice young staff member brought my tray to the table.

Turned up for a breakfast meeting but despite the sign on the door saying it opens at 6:30am, only the drive through was open.

Thanks to the employee Emily there, as me and my grandfather got a free drink! Lovely & freindly people there some of the girls there do seem abit run down with all the messy tables customers leave, If any Customers read this please clean up after yourselves and respect the place for others.

Very friendly staff, thoroughly enjoyed my usual hot chocolate, very tasty, not too chocolaty, best I've ever had and tried a lemon muffin, beautiful, light, fluffy and delicious xx thank u Costa x

I'd give zero stars if I could. Have to say the slowest service, only choice of cup size was small and worst coffee from a Costa. I ordered a mocha with sugar free hazlenut syrup. No hint of hazlenut or coffee... pretty much a hot chocolate. Not good. Very disappointed.

Had to wait so long for my toastie, which was left on the side after being cooked. I asked if it was ready, given it. Asked if it was still hot? It wasn't!asked if I wanted another, there is a reason why you do take out. Left toastie with staff, no refund offered!...... The shop incidentally was not busy, nor drive through. I use costa every day. May reevaluate situation.

A bit out-of-the-way, but a fairly standard mid-sized Costa on a retail park. What you might want to know is that unusually this one has neither wi-fi nor phone signal inside. Decent coffee though, and friendly staff.

Safe to say, prefer this over the starbucks in Mold. Drive thru is a bit slow but other than that everyone is really nice there... Think you have a new regular haha

Tea, Coffee and snacks are always to Costa predictable standards. My gripe is the lack of Wi-Fi. Ever since it was built, two years ago, it has struggled to provide this service. I did complain on the website, but was told to raise the issue with staff on site. Why? It’s not their fault. In coffee shops you either go to talk to mates or check e mails etc. internet connection is part of the experience. This problem has rumbled for two years- it’s not good enough. How tough can it be to have Wi-Fi in the biggest town in North Wales? V poor.

Filthy place. Only 1 table was clear, the rest strewn with previous customers empty cups, plates and spillage. Disgusting. Staff chatting and laughing while nothing gets cleaned and cleared. Again... Disgusting place.

Interesting. Very friendly staff but did not give any napkins with our drinks. The Ruby chocolate was more like pink and tasted like warm strawberry milkshake.

Great coffee, service was a little slow due to drive through but the staff were handling it well

Thought we would give this a try whilst shopping locally. Its a brand new build and a new Costa with a drive through. We decided to sit in and have coffee. The shop was quiet inside although there was a steady stream of cars through the drive through. The food and drink was fine, typical Costa as you would expect. I was however quite surprised how messy the place was. Tables had not been cleared or wiped down and the floor looked like it needed a good sweep - see the photos. There were three members of staff serving. Either one of them needed to find the time to service the seating area or more staff were needed on duty. At one point my wife and I were the only people in the shop so it wasn't busy. There was no 4G reception inside on EE (full service outside the building). In fact all I got was "no service" on my phone. I am finding this is typical of most Costas I visit now. It must be something about the way their new buildings are designed. Unlike other branches, there was also no wifi. Quite an important consideration if you want to go in with a laptop and do some work. Overall 5/5 for food and drink but 1/5 for the cleanliness and lack of any connectivity in the building so 3/5 overall.

Nice and friendly place but weekend's can be busy and working as a carer trying to get a coffee before the next call means some times running a bit late but overall service is pretty quick

  • 5/5 Darren B. 2 years ago on Google
Nice and clean inside and out. Limited seating outside but enough. Drive thru is a bit small and not great for queuing into as you have to take an odd approach line. If there is a queue of cars, you queue back on to the car park. Sometimes people end up blocking the rest of the retail park or space to move past.

They demand to see identification to prove who you are for track and trace, just a pity they don't follow other guidelines like having a working hand sanitiser dispenser in the entrance or clearing the tables ready for your next customers. Not impressed.

I would have considered it a 4 given covid restrictions and the staff member greeting was polite and helpful, however the staff behind the counter were extremely unhelpful and 1 in particular, person making the drinks was a nightmare with an attitude.

Nice blends of coffee & at a reasonable price. DW gym, Sports Direct, Curry's/PC world, Sainsbury's, Pets at Home & Boots are just some of the places nearby so is is a great place to come for a rest whilst on a shopping spree. On the other hand, it is not too far from Wrexham to Chester bypass is you just fancy getting petrol at Sainsbury's followed by a drive through coffee.

What a nightmare! Yes all the shops are very diligent about covid, but this place is extreme! I didn't have my phone for the track and trace so provided my number. This was not good enough and they wanted ID with my name on. I am not here to have to be ID checked by the public, even the police can't demand that without you being charged with something. A freeman living in a free world....my arse.
