👍 Cheap beer , clean, friendly staff bit toilets could do with a refurb, and if it's remotely busy, you can wait forever and a day to get served. Only ever 2 staff on when it needs a minimum of 4 staff to cover a bar of that size People often mention staff, good, great, atmosphere, nice, Wrexham, friendly, service, lovely,

Love this place it's the only pub we go and eat in when we are in Wrexham would definitely recommend staff are nice and friendly and the food is excellent

Watched the rugby, place was packed fab atmosphere. Bit of a wait for drinks but staff very busy and barman had good grasp of who was next for serving. Some people had bar snacks which looked good.

Staff were friendly and polite, but the atmosphere was underwhelming. Drinks were a little on the pricey side. Would visit again but wouldn't be a first choice.

Absolutely CLASS night! Needed somewhere to have drinks,.nice chilled atmosphere, watch the England vs Ukraine game. We'd been there for about 7 hours living our best lives. Drinks were top class, service, top class. Cheers to Matt, Conrad and I cant remember the other two girls name however you both were AMAZING too! Toilet is abit of a mission to get to especially when you been day drinking since 1pm but its still worth it cause theres a lovely mirror at the top where I did take about 6 selfies cause Beer Goggles are a thing and I felt boujee af! Anyway. Thank you again!

We visited midweek and had a great experience. Food and drink were very good value and great quality. We were the only ones in there and our three year old loved the colouring sheets and the food. Conrad was very helpful and accommodating along with his Manager, Amy. If we weren't tourists, we'd definitely be repeat visitors.

Good pub, different beers on offer and it's quite nice in side. Only eaten here a few times and it's OK. The toilets are a hike and a half :).

The only place I drink and eat at when I'm out and about around Wrexham, furthermore all sports covered football and for this Sunday Wales in their clash with Australia!! I'll be back Sunday morning early.. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Decent place to watch football. Bar staff were very friendly. Think they should consider converting some of the upstairs into some kind of VIP champagne bar what with Hollywood owners of Wrexham AFC and it already has a separate entrance.

Recently refurbished with a lot of potential. DJs there every Friday and Saturday

  • 1/5 Stephen R. 1 year ago on Google
Smells, beer stale, floor sticks to your feet, outside cigarette buts on floor, ashtrays full and stinking, dirty smelly horrible pub, £3.75 for a single whisky, bar man is a feeble dirty little Scroat with a bad attitude, so when it’s got 2 customers and no atmosphere avoid at all cost

  • 3/5 gareth g. 10 months ago on Google
One person behind the bar. Totally overwhelmed. Surrounded by people moaning about how poor and incredibly slow the service was. Won't go back, better places in Wrexham.

  • 4/5 Sebastian B. 7 months ago on Google

This place is the hidden jewel in Wrexham. I cant believe we just found it. The food is amazing, the ambience is awesome and the staff ... they are literally the best team of staff we have come across. We have eaten in every place in Wrexham and take it from me this place is amazing. Two fish and chips for a little over 8 quid... you couldn't make it for that. My advice go and find this place its awesome. Served a couple of times by Conrad who is fantastic but all the team are superb . Nothing is too much trouble

Quite a large and busy bar, proper hike to the toilets

  • 1/5 nathan s. 4 years ago on Google
Popped in today for a drink about midday while the wife was getting her nails done and asked if they served san pellegrino to which the rather rude lady behind the bar stated "i don't even know what that is so probably not", i could also hear her quite loudly swearing behind the bar which isn't exactly great for customers to hear and the toliets were absolutely disgusting! Shame really as the building itself is gorgeous. Also the heaters were chucking out hot air so was like being in a sauna.

Wanted to go for a drink whilst waiting for a bus, my partner and I were challenged on the door and produced our ID’s, both valid and ourselves. a female staff member who accompanied the security guards said “good luck getting served with these” and let us in. We were getting served and the same woman came and whispered something to the bartender who then said the same thing- they didn’t look like us. In all fairness, I have cut my hair, but my name, date of birth and address haven’t changed (which we both got correct when asked, obviously). I strongly believe we were treated this way because we’re two gay woman and they let us in, to make sure we were embarrassed by not being served. Left and went to wetherspoons, had brilliant service.

On this occasion the food was not up to standard..but at the end of the day this is Pub Grub and not a restaurant..but if you're going to watch a big game you can't go wrong here

Been here once before today for food (since being called The Crafty Dragon and not Yates) vowed I would never go again but today I was out voted... Needless to say, it was as vile as the first time! We were told there was a 25 min wait in food although there was about 3 people in there, the food came almost an hour later. The chicken was dried out and the bacon over 'microwaved' it was like chewing a brick!
